Regis was one of the most unbelievable characters. I liked him. So. Much.

I felt bad for Regis, both society failed to accept him, still remained philosophical, and intelligent calm being, and a true loyal friend.

Anna trying to see the good in Syanna pretty much mirrors how Regis was trying to do the same for Dettlaff. Still, that was really stupid of her to give Syanna a hug right after hearing she wanted to kill her.

Honestly.....I don’t find this the worst ending at all. Both of them deserved to die. Any ruler who puts the safety of her murderous sister over her subjects is no ruler Geralt would follow at all.

Everything that leads to this ending feels so justified. Pacifying a terrorist by giving him what he wants isn't an option, Syanna deserved to face the consequences of her failed scheme, and Anna had every warning and opportunity to avoid foolish and risky behavior. Regis did the right thing, and the fact that he's immortal and relatively distant from the vampiric people makes the consequences of his being driven from toussaint that much less impactful in the negative sense. 10/10, would let everyone die again

Ah, one thing. Did someone notice how in both dlcs a trivial talk with someone actually ended with some interesting outcomes? Hearts of stone: Shani says "take me to the moon" and the moon was a reflex on the lake, which could link both "on the moon" in gaunter o'dimm contract with olgierd and "reflection" on the riddle. Blood and wine: Orianna says that even a hairpin can be used as a weapon and... Well.

I got this ending, Anna was such a bitch, so was Syanna, but they really should've added a sequence where Zoltan, Roche, Dandelion and your romance option at your vineyard just having a feast or something

46:06 Regis tells how the player could have achieved the finale where both sisters live. Regis: "... it would have been better if she had been a tad more philosophical, pausing ... to reflect ... on her actions." This is what makes a game a masterpiece, thank you CDPR.

I like this ending best. Syanna had it comming for all the chaos she unleashed, while Anna was an overly emotional fool who brought her own demise. Absolutely won't miss either of them. Besides, it falls more in line with the fairy tales of old times. There was no such happly ever after . Their endings were often bleak and dark. I only feel bad for Regis, forced to live in hiding forever.

I wouldn't call this the "worst" ending; perhaps the most just, actually. All parties led to massive loss of innocent or modestly guilty life due to their selfishness: Syanna's lust for vengeance cost 4 knights, her sister, and dozens of guards during her capture their lives; Dettlaff's desire for Syanna led him to murder, directly or indirectly, scores of individuals; And Anna's willful ignorance and selfishness regarding her sister, despite clear warnings, let her whole city burn and run with blood. In a sense, given Syanna's upbringing and possible curse, (the books point to it being a very real possibility), and Dettlaff's primal animalistic drive, Anna's sudden willingness to condemn her entire capital's, if not entire duchy's, population to protect her sister disgusts me most. All it is is a massive swirling cycle of selfishness: each person disregarding the lives of others for their own singular concerns, from the very beginning with the announcement of the Curse of the Black Sun onward.

The voice acting is excellent throughout... But Regis is exceptional.

I feel like the best ending is to let Syanna die by Dettlaff's hand and then let him get away. Regis doesn't get shunned by vampires (and that was all I cared honestly, he's a good guy and doesn't deserve to live an eternal life like that) and you get to save the dutchess altogether even if she doesn't know that you actually saved her. Regis is safe and Touissant too, she'll get over her damned, useless sister eventually.

The Blood and Wine story is my favourite in all of the Witcher saga books and games. It is such a great moral conundrum with each of the endings leaving you feeling guilty in one way or another. Should Detlaff be allowed to live and Syanna left to die? He of course is only acting out of revenge and it was really Syannas fault, but then again, Syanna was only acting out of revenge aswell, and Detlaff did cause the night of long fangs. If Detlaff is to be forgiven for his hate for Syanna and the subsequent Night of long fangs, because it was only out of revenge, shouldn’t then by that logic Syanna to be forgiven for her actions, which were also taken only out of sadness and revenge for her suffering? Then theirs even more to take into account, you are paid to fulfil a contract, how much of your morality should seep into that or to what extent should you simply do what you were paid to? After all if you allow Detlaff to live you suffer unjustly being sent to prison and not being paid for you work, then again if you kill Detlaff, Regis suffers unjustly, hunted for ever by his own brethren for an act of which you forced his hand. Is your temporary suffering worth it to spare Regis, after all it is your contract? All this must be taken and weighed when deciding what to do. The story is basicly the perfect summation of the entire Witcher series that geralt breaks down in the last wish, “ Evil is evil, lesser, greater, middling...Makes no difference. The degree is arbitrary, the definitions blurred, if I’m to choose between one evil and another id rather not choose at all.” That is exactly what you must do is blood and wine. It is the perfect Witcher story in my opinion.

Arguably the most emotional ending, has the strongest ramifications on the future of Toussaint as well.

As much as I like a perfectly happy ending where everyone lives, this ending feels "truest", most consistent to the spirit and theme of the Witcher games: no matter what you do, you're but a simple witcher, killing monsters is your calling, not saving everyone.

I would give my right arm for a new DLC or a Witcher 4

Having warned both AH and Damien of Syanna's plot I thought everything was going so nicely, and then this happened.

Definitely the most appropriate ending, and the most poetic. Everything was set in motion years before Geralt even arrived in Toussaint, and the characters were so blinded by their rage, vengefulness or stubbornness that they were unable to step off the set path, even if it meant their doom.

"...that was weird. Okay, we got the blood, let's get the wine" *leaves toussaint with all the Sangreal he can carry*

This is actually the best ending. Everyone got what they deserve.

both the sisters are just plain unlikable. i spared detlaff, but not before nailing his ex.

Regis was by far my favourite character that made an appearance in the game. His voice actor really nailed what I envisioned Regis would be like.

I think the ending is not that bad. But it depends on your point of view. I see it that way: I dont feel bad about Dettlaffs death. Actually I am happy he died. I would have been on his side if he just killed Syanna, but once he started the assault on a city full of innocent ones, he lost my sympathy. I am a Witcher, it is my duty to kill monsters who are a danger to humans, and Dettlaff is one of them. He is a lose cannon with a short temper. Who says he wont go on a killing spree in a bar because the waiter spilled soup on him? He had to be taken out. Syanna is a monster in human form. Plain and simple. Shes manipulative enough for me to think that she and Yen could be BFFs, she is cold blodded and she is low enough to use one who loves her for her own goals (Gerald should know how that feels). For the Duchess, I had no wish for her death, but it doesnt fill me with remorse either. She was throwing around death sentences left and right during the story just because she was throwing a tantrum over sold wine or when she found her sisters and had to get her anger out on someone (sentence for high treason is death). Yet when it came to punish a real criminal, responsible for many deaths, she didnt do it because its her sis. She didnt deserve death for it, but she wasnt fit to be the ruler either. I only feel sorry for Regis, but hell, Nilfgaard is not that bad of a place to live either.

The funny thing is, when i first finished the basic game, i got the worst ending ( you know.. where ciri dies, and probably geralt dies too). And on top of that, when i finished blood and wine, just as before, i got the worst ending. Maybe there's something wrong with me.

I got this ending and I reloaded my save. Duchy gave me a god damn house with a vineyard, a home. Couldn't let her die.

From a narrative pov, this is the best ending. The tragedy of the Duchess dying while asking for forgiveness and her sister completing her vengence at a cost of her own life is more satisfying than the Kumbaya alternative. It's sadder, but sometimes sadness makes for a better story.

Both Regis and Anna tried to see the best in their friend, but whereas Regis understood what had to be done in the end, Anna thought it would be a good idea to freaking go in for a hug with the murderer whom she had just learned wanted to kill her...

Syanna deserved that bolt so bad. Anna probably deserved that hairpin as well. But Dettlaff? How you gonna do ya boi like dat?

Just a casual day for a witcher

Tbh it's my second favorite ending - seeming bliss for the Toussaint and then... the tragic. How fitting for this universe. I really like the vibe with the black flags and Annarietta's statue, and visiting her tomb, everyone crying and even references to her death in sidequests what xLetalis mentioned in missed details. Ending with alive Dettflaff and dead Syanna is my number one though, for several reasons it satisfies me the most lol

Killing Detlaff isn't wrong. He slaughtered many innocent people for being cheated by her lover. Ultimately both the sisters and Detlaff were crazy

I got this ending without any guides or anything to tell me how to do it, I just genuinely chose everything I would have chosen if it had been me. Kinda puts it into perspective lol

In my opinion, this is the superior ending because I believe the whole moral of the story of Blood and Wine is that even if you did your best to prevent conflict, “Happily ever after doesn’t often happen in life”. and Geralt mentions that several times in the some of his side quest contracts. Also, I felt more emotionally invested when Anna Henrietta died because I love her character.

I don't negotiate with terror freaks, so I went to the unseen elder and killed Deltlaf. Bringing Syanna was never an option in my mind. Geralt: - "Your sister wants to murder you. Here's proof." Regis: - "Makes sense, the last virtue would be compassion." Captain: - "Thank you for bringing me this important information." Anna: - "I don't believe you." Anna Henrietta gets murdered by her sister. Anna's surprised pikachu face. Not the worst end. Such would be Deltlaf surviving.

I'm still convinced CDPR should make a vampire movie. Like damn, I'd pay 30 bucks for that fight between Dettlaff and Regis alone.

When ciri said "that's why i had to lure this one to a place both spacious and empty ..." I like how Geralt was just nodding his head like, "Yep, I have taught you well."

Regis is a damn good philosopher, true to his words. His hidden notes found in his place revealed his inner despair, the common thing with other higher vampires trapped in other world and yearning for home, yet he bested it, thoughtfully acted his way out for the best possible outcome on every situations like a true philosopher regardless of his own inner conflicts. A believable perfect character like none will ever be. His character design, his dialogues, his voice acting, the best I've ever seen in any video games so far. Especially with his dialogues... so damn good. Subtle decencies, yet well defined.

Honestly, while I think having Triss or Yen at the vineyard is great and all, Ciri really warms my heart. She's my favorite endgame guest.

I got the "good ending" at first, where both sisters made up. I redid the dialogue with Syanna and didn't encourage her to forgive her sister. Because it didn't feel like Beaucleair was safe with Syanna, a very conniving schemer, so close to its ruler.

I LOVE how you can call Syanna the Beast of Beauclair instead of Dettlaff because it's completely accurate. Absolutely everything is her fault, hers and Anna's for getting her banished as a child. Dettlaff really doesn't take break ups well so it's a real shame that reasoning with him doesn't work whatsoever, least not without punishing both parties.

Got this ending, went back to a saved game, and played it so I got the ending with both sisters surviving. Amazing how different the adventure swerves between the two. One has you seeking out some elder vampire, the other takes you to some fantasy Alice-in-Wonderland place. Definitely worth trying the different paths on Blood in Wine.

I actually had trouble concentrating in that final boss fight because I was worrying so damn much about Regis. I was so friggin relieved to see him at the end. And then of course I took a step back from the game and realized how much I actually cared about a character who was supposed to be fictional.

i had this one. but damn this DLC was the best of all. The place felt so much like home. Such joyful people all over Toussaint :")

I find it ironic tha both Syanna and Anarietta say, they know person they are to speak with so well and yet without Geralt doing something they both turn out to be mistaken. They aren't so different after all.

The cutscene with Geralt and Regis in the crypt visiting the grave is my favorite cutscene of the whole game. The music, lighting, echoing voices and dialogue is perfection.
