The Witcher 3 is worth revisiting thanks to some small but interesting discoveries by players over the years. Subscribe for more: ru-vid.com?su... / i_may_have_found_the_l...
In order to get to Skellige, you have to give a sea captain thousands of gold. After the shipwreck, if you find his body, you can get all your gold back. Definitely something a lot of people don't know about.
Yeah if they’re the type of player that doesn’t search everything and look in every nook and cranny before moving on? I can definitely see how a lot of people miss this-
They should implement him in Witcher 4 as a scholar rambling on about the untold secrets of Geralt's adventures. The guy is a living legend and definitely deserves their recognition.
You should check out letalis channel, literally hundreds of things you've probably missed, neon knight as somebody else mentioned has some cool vids as well
Fun fact: there’s actually a decoction which allows you to parry monsters! It’s usually only useful for smaller ones, but paired with the decoction that makes you immune to stuns, it’s amazing.
@@_kage_ Chort decoction. Made a mistake on my original comment. Forgot the Chort one makes you immune to stuns and knockdowns so you can parry monsters
The Witcher 3 is such an amazing game. Beautiful throughout the world. On my first playthrough , I never played gwent but when I wanted to grab platinum , I started to play gwent and man , I was so happy I did because Gwent is awesome. A masterpiece imo.
Spies in decoys baby!! But yeah I totally agree!! It’s such an easy to pick up and play game that is somewhat difficult to master, I would say not that much difficult though..
My first play through I was absolutely hooked to gwent man💀 Need to save ciri from the crones of crook back bog? How about a game of gwent first lol the whole game was great
The guy is a legend. He was even mentioned in tweets by Pavel Sasko, one of the quest designers from CDPR, for discovering TW3 secrets. His videos of "Things you may have missed" are absolutely extraordinary.
heyy hey btw. there actually is another giant that you can one shot in the eye. the cloud giant at the end of the fairy tale quest, there’s no achievement but it’s the same giant model as the earlier one so the one-shot eye thing also applies to it :)
For #6. You actually don't even have to aim to shoot Golyat in his eye. All you have to do is back dodge as he goes for his overhead downward smash with the mill wheel and tap R1/RB for a quick shot and Geralt will shoot his eye instantly killing him.
I played the Witcher recently for the first time and I got that crystal skull. Can't believe it was a hidden type thing and I got it the first time that's awesome
It's not even a new thing found by fans, so I think they just put it in the video for a filler. Just like you, there would've been thousands who found it when exploring the area when the game released in 2015.
I also found it, because the intro film clearly shows that it's dropped at the same place they go for sleep. Not that hidden to be honest. That a lot of people did not find it is probably because they are impatient and want to rush trough the story. I think it has something to do with a lot of gamers wanting instant gratification. They lack the patience and dedication to search their surroundings. If they do not find stuff right away, they assume there is noting to find and gallop to the next story destination. Or maybe it's a RU-vidr's disease? Fact is, that a in LOT of RU-vid LP's of RPG and JRPG games, the players barely look around in the environment and often skip through dialogues without noticing they missed something important. I have seen many funny situations where those players skipped important dialogue and rushed to the destination, only to wonder what the hell they are supposed to do there (or missed a important item that they are supposed to use on the destination). Sorry for the rambling. As an oldie that started more seriously gaming somewhere around 1985 with Castle Quest on the BBC-B computer (well - I actually played Asteroids on the Acorn Atom in 1980, but I was not really "serious" about it), I get irritated by that impatience now and then...
Literally the first thing I found first playthrough. Still though, my buddy had no idea years later. I had to tell him cause he just jumped straight on his horse every time.
i'm convinced that people who actually created Witcher are no the ones who worked on cyberpunk either they left the company or were doing something else
@@Flaggyt not true. I played that game long before dlcs and patches. I played it when inventory had a lot less space, before ingredients weighted zero, and other things added later. CP is just mediocre game, with lazy, rushed writing, where they put most important parts in shards. Characters in w3 are a lot more likable and memorable than characters in CP would ever be.
@vachagan you are right, a lot of people left after w3, the new ones came to work on CP, and entire game is differently composed, the main thing was first person and tricky physics system, plus larger area, densely packed with details. Where in w3 couple of larger areas, but majority of it forest and open spaces. But still w3 felt extremely more lively, where CP felt very disconnected from player.
@@Flaggyt I played it at launch, and I wouldn't say it was worse than cyberpunk, yes it has issues but the reason I say it's not the same people is because the quests were so carefully crafted. Whicher never had garbage quests that will repeat themselves, cyberpunk was full of them I don't know how is it now. Cyber Frank is pretty much linear story with not much deviation by The Witcher was completely different, cyberpunk is what you would get if you tell your developers to imitate what Witcher did.
The thing with the Grave Hag isn't new and it wasn't discovered, the game literally tells you that you can do this in the combat tactics description for them. And the boat fast-travel isn't new either. Anybody who opened a map on the boat would have figured this out almost immediately. Also it only let's you travel to docks, not sign-posts.
I have 100% the game 4 times now. Its absolutely my favorite game of all time, and lowkey ruined other games for me. The level of polish, immersion, and attention to detail/lore The Witcher 3 offers is outstanding! Here’s to The Witcher 4 hopefully being just as good if not better!
I guess everyone has their preference, but I don’t get why a lot of people say this game ruined other games for them. There are multiple games with even bigger maps and more in depth quest lines. Don’t get me wrong I love this game, but there are others just as good. Final Fantasy XI was much bigger and endless. Given it is online only tho. WoW, RuneScape, and other MMO’s are so amazing. If you don’t play online then Skyrim, Borderlands, Fallout, Red Dead, Or for new games try Elden Ring or Tiny Tina’s Wonderland.
I definitely knew about the crystal skull the first day of launch. Watching the cutscene, I went to look for it. I'm honestly surprised that it's been missed until now
I'm in the middle of my 4th play through. Finally gonna jack up the difficulty for NG+. "Caed'mil, Bloede Dh'oine... Hocus-Pocus... Abracadabra... Arse Blathanna..."
I believe the fast travel thing at the end there has been explained right after you unlock/use your first boat. Not an Easter egg, but rather a game mechanic tbh. Kudos to whoever discovered the 7 years one. Imagine being a game designer and knowing that no one ever found out for so long... Would drive me insane xD
Probably already found most of the things in this video, but goddamnit seeing new Witcher 3 Gameranx vids jus reminds me of a simpler and comfortable time 😊😊
@@D1amond_Bread i already saw Vivienne dying like a year or more ago. They just posting compilation of the same shit. Its fine for new players who follow this channel. But its not latest new discovery.
Dude! This is amazing. The Witcher 3 was, and is my absolute favorite game ever. The developers really went all out with this in-game world, major respect to them for all of their efforts.
This my definition of a true RPG because of all these amazing story related things. Some say Elden Ring is the best RPG ever, but it doesn't come close to W3 for me and I've platinumed both (or the equivalent thereof).
The funny thing about fast traveling from boats is that there's a tutorial message that pops up saying that we can do that when we enter a boat for the first time.
It's really fun to take your time and get immersed with all the nature and encounters. It takes patience to stop yourself from living in Witcher senses and fast travel but it's rewarding.
the Raven skull, new?! I found it on my first play back in 2015. I found Triss's earring far more obscure of a detail than the skull. Again, David and Golyat is not new, have known about it since my first play of Blood and Wine and did it on my second go. Grave Hag tongue severing is nothing new, it's an achievement. You can parry and counter Nekker attacks. Boat fast travel is not new, I have always used it. Some people have small attention spans and horrible observational skill.
@@jonchh956 yup, exactly. Triss earring is literally more unique find than freakin boat travel. Though Yen skull is somehow unique, because after cinematic its not mentioned, and players would mostly proceed to play the story. Props to CDPR doing that, very nice detail that make cinematic and story directly connected.
Roach is a SHE. Always named Roach, always a mare. And I found the crystal skull my first time I played, I can't believe that's actually a "hidden" or "new" thing!
You didn't even show us Viviennes body. How are we supposed to know where to find her?? Y'all should've waited to make this 'til when the remaster came out, who knows what they've added?
I had the game in my Steam Library for over 3 years before I finally played it. When I did, I invested over 200 hours in the game, and now believe that it is one of if not the greatest game I ever played.
I just start playing through this for the first time and……. I don’t get the appeal 😂 it’s kinda boring, the horse is abhorrent, the combat is kinda ehh. The characters are good kinda, the beast hunting is fun tho. Idk I’m kinda dissatisfied with the game
Man me as well tried playing it back in 2018 and I was just underwhelmed by everything. The combat especially was just too boring for me. I kept saying I would come back to it but to be honest its just eating space on my PC. Been almost four years since I even opened it. Maybe I would have enjoyed it back in 2015 I don't know it just feels too outdated for me now
This is such a great game I pray that the Witcher 4 will live up to the challenge. If you never played the Witcher 3 I urge you to pick this game up and get all the DLC's then get ready to experience one of the best games ever made. My first play through was over 200 hours I'm now on my third play through.
The raven skull was the first thing I found in the game, it was cool that it was even there and it told me I was starting a game with polish, and attention to detail…🤘😜👍
Absolutely crazy. Quick questing Gameranx could you do one of these "10 NEW things" videos on BOTW? because it seems like people are STILL discovering stuff in that game even today.
Crystal raven skull isn't new for me at ALL lol. I found that my very first playthrough on launch day. Kinda surprised it was apparently so elusive for other players! Same with the grave hag tongue and the fast travel boats. Always thought these things were pretty common knowledge. Never knew about the flying enemy trick for the griffin, though! Very cool! Neat video :)
Most of these people have known about for years. Some of them the game even straight up tells you about. Like cutting off a hag's tongue, or fast traveling from your boat. Things tied to achievements are especially not new to anyone.
Can’t’ wait for the next gen patch oktober/november, going to replay it all again in an instant!! This proofs why this game is an absolute masterpiece and easily one of the best for a decade 👌🏻
Cool video as always! What I would LOVE to see is a top 10 video with games where you get to create a "perfect world" or utopistic world in the end. The bigger, the better. Like in Mass Effect! Pretty please :)
Along with the crystal skull you can find many other various items from the cinematic on the battle field where you go find that guys dead brother with his dog in white orchard
i never beat the Witcher III. i got to Skellige, played for awhile, but there was just too many monotonous, tedious, little quests to do and i got bored. i should definitely go back and finish the game sometime.
