An outstanding account of the start of the human tide on the continent and the beginning of the city states. I look forward to this series taking us further into the Witcher world's backstory!

It's literally all wrong. Cintra and Cidaris weren't the first humans states, Temeria and Redania were. There was not multiples waves of immigration, only one. Dezmod and Sambuk weren't brothers nor nobles, there is not even any mentions of their lives. The Conjonction didn't lasted for severals centuries and the elves fled east because of humans, not the Conjonction. The title he quote is the title of Ciri only, not of every ruler of Cintra. Nazair has never been a part of Cintra nor its vassal state, it just occasionally married into the bloodline of Cerbin, the real founder of Cintra. Abrad the Old Oak was Radovid 1 ancestor, not Abdank uncle.

I appreciate your videos so much. So well put, well written, and organized to the point of removing any confusion, which is very impressive when talking about such a complex and convoluted story. Great work ❤

2:43 There is nothing in the lore that indicate that the Conjonction lasted for more than a thoussand years. 2:59 Uh, no, Kovir and Poviss were inhabited way after the founding of Redania. And there was not multiples waves of immigration, there was the three ships of the Outcasts that docked in the Delta Pontar and the Yaruga mouth and the ones that landed in Nilfgaard. And that's it, thoses were the only wave of immigration. There was no "new humans" coming to the already established settlements, you are doing misinformation. 3:58 Nothing in the lore said that Dezmod and Sambuk were brothers, where did you find that ? And what about Radovid I ? And nothing suggest they had "nobles roots" in fact, quite the contrary even if we can believe Yarpen. 4:19 Nothing is known about their captains and even less that it was Dezmod and Sambuk. 4:45 No, no and no, Dezmod is said to have founded Temeria, not Verden Brugge and Sodden. 5:21 Ok, first, elves don't build fortresses, that's literally in the lore, it was a elven city. Second, you forget to mention it was abandonned because of humans expansions. 5:31 Again, no, the elves moved east because of humans expansions, not because of the Conjonction who had long finished by that time. 5:56 No, Cintra wasn't founded by Dezmod, you literally give him too much credits. 6:27 Temeria and Redania were the first human kingdoms, not Cintra or Cidaris. 9:40 Where did you find such mentions of expansions ? There is literally nothing about that in the books/games. 10:09 That's Ciri title, daughter of the Emperor Emhyr and granddaughter of Calanthe the Lioness, not the title of every ruler of Cintra. 13:53 The dwarves loved Dezmod more than humans did. And he founded only one kingdom. Cerbin is the first king of Cintra. 14:11 Abrad the Old Oak was not Abdank uncle. He was Radovid the first ancestor. 14:38 You said the "brothers" were in charge of the Four ships. Your video is most disappointing, there is little truth in it and mostly fanfiction.

Voice man here, representing the School of the BeEr 😅🍺 Anyways... Let me give you a comprehensive reply to your comment on behalf of our team Here it goes: 1. We know for a fact that the Conjunction of the Spheres lasted about a thousand years. In the glossary in the first part of The Witcher game trilogy (and in other sources) there is information that the Conjunction of the Spheres began "about 1500 years ago". The first part of The Witcher game trilogy takes place in the year 1271 according to the elven chronology. This means that the Conjunction of the Spheres began about 230 years before the beginning of the Elven Chronicles. We also know that humans arrived on the continent around 764 (the First Landing). We also know from the books that the Conjunction of the Spheres continued for some time after the humans arrived. This gives us a net time of 996 years for the duration of the Conjunction of the Spheres. This is simple and quick math (s/o to Big Shaq xD). Let's add that the Conjunction continued for some time after the arrival of humans, and that the date of 230 years before the beginning of the chronology is approximate, meaning that it could have begun even earlier. And we will see that the Conjunction of the Spheres lasted for more than a thousand years. 2. We are not misinforming anyone...🧐 Before the First Landing, the Dauk and Vozgor tribes settled on the Continent. They settled in the north of the Continent, right between the Dragon Mountains and Gulf of Praxeda. Exactly where the kingdoms of Kovir and Poviss would later rise. This information can be found on page 15 of The World of the Witcher, published by CD Projekt Red in 2015. It is also mentioned in Sapkowski's books. 3. Radovid I the Great ruled much later than Dezmod and Sambuk, in the 10th century. He united the scattered small states of Redania and rebuilt Redania as a single large state. We just haven't gotten to him yet in our videos. There is a wonderful book series called Genealogie, published by Andrzej Sapkowski, with his notes on the Witcher's world. It states that Radovid I the Great is a descendant of Sambuk, not his contemporary or peer. As for the brotherhood and the royal descendance, this information comes from the Witcher's world board game published in Poland in 2001 under Sapkowski's supervision. It even includes the exact dates of King Radovid the Great's reign. 4. We know that two ships arrived at the mouth of the Yaruga, one came near the mouth of the Pontar and the other one ended up somewhere else. The future rulers were on these ships and that is a fact. That they were captains is an assumption. That is why we DO NOT STATE it, we use the phrase "It seems so" or "Most Likely" instead. 5. You probably didn't listen and watch the video carefully🤷‍♂ We were not stating that Dezmod founded Sodden, Brugge, etc. We mentioned that he ruled those areas having taken possession of them. They probably didn't even have names at the time. And yes, as a result, it was Dezmod who became the founder of Temeria. THAT is what we were talking about ☝

And we'd also like to add something. We understand that a lot of things might seem strange to you, but we are trying to put together the most accurate history of the Witcher World, based on all available OFFICIAL sources. No fanfiction. Only information found in Pan Sapkowski's books and published notes + some info from the official tabletop roleplaying games (if it does not contradict Sapkowski's data) + the data from the Gwent TCG (if it does not contradict Sapkowski's data) + the info from the game trilogy by CDPR (if it does not contradict Sapkowski's information) + information from CDPR supplemental materials (such as the 2015 big Compendium) + the info from CDPR tabletop roleplaying games such as Witcher's Path or Old World (if it does not contradict Sapkowski's information). We never used fanfiction nor we took anything out of our imagination, and if we make what we think are logical assumptions, we point them out (it's rare, but it happens). We're working on putting together the game and book LORE, the history of the Witcher universe. We treat it like a jigsaw puzzle. There are still a lot of blank spots, and we do not fill them ourselves, we leave them as they are. We could answer all your timings with the exact answers, but it would take a lot of time and effort, so we'd rather spend it on a new video. Our team spent a bit over an hour on this answer right here plus the above one. Especially considering that you write your stuff with timings under each video. We could answer everything. But we cannot spend several hours of our lives on you every time you don't understand something while accepting some of your own knowledge as the one and only truth. We advise you not to focus on the English Wiki as the source of all knowledge about the Witcher universe. There is not even 30% of the information there. Check out the Polish wiki, the Ukrainian wiki, the Russian wiki, Sapkowski's notes, information from tabletop roleplaying games, Gwent's compendiums, and the game trilogy using a translator if needed. And if you don't want to do that, and all this is not enough for you, then we sincerely have no idea what to do about it 🤷‍♂🙄 We wish you well 🙌 And may the Witcher Universe and its community prosper 🐺

@@OldWitcher 1 No, it absolutely doesn't mean that. Yes, it says that the Conjonction started 1500 years but it never stated that it lasted for centuries. No dates is given about when it ended nor how long it lasted. Just like nothing said that the Conjonction was still going when humans arrived in the Continent for the first time. In fact, it's actually stated they arrived a thoussand years after the Conjonction which mean the Conjunction had already ended by then. 2. Yeah, problem is, the Dauk are only mentionned once in the Last Wish and the Author completely forget about them. They are more games canon than book canon. The vozgors aren't mentioned at all in book and even if you take them as canon, both tribes were already gone by the time of the First Landing. 3. I thought i erased that. yes, i was apparently mistaken about Radovid I. But i don't think you can consider board games as actual canon material. 4. Well, i didn't understand it as a assumption. Sorry. Still, Why would you assume that ? 5. This is also board game canon ? All informations i found so far, book, games, etc... credits Redania and Temeria as the first humans realms. Not Cintra and Cidaris.

@@OldWitcher I might be a little too sanguine about this. You might have informations i just can't confirm because i don't have them but i'm unwilling to accept it as canon without at least access to the sources. Especially if it come from board games that i can't confirmed if Sapkowski consider them to be canon. Guess i should watch thoses polish wikis. I am sorry if i was abrasive. I'll try to keep a more open mind from now. One last thing though, In what sources, is it confirmed that elves are responsibles for the Conjunction ? Or that the Aen Seidhes are responsibles for the Vrans exterminations ? Because both the witcher role playing game and the "Road of no Return", who was written by Sapkowski, state that Vrans still had their own kingdoms or at least, something to support armies, before the arrival of mankind and lost their last war to humanity ten years before Geralt birth and that they are either in reserves or fled beyond the Blues Mountains. So your affirmation that the elves drove them to extinction actually contradict the author. Why is that if i can ask ?
