This is the Angelina Jordan performance that made me an Angelina Angel until my last breath 4 years ago!

She doesn’t just sing it. She sings it with feeling and nuance. For me, she’s more than once in a generation. She is literally once in a lifetime. I’m in my seventies and I’ve listened to Angelina everyday for the past five or six years. No other singer in my life has come remotely close to that.

For me this is the most emotional performance by The Barefoot Angel among the gifts Angelina has given us in the first 10 years of her career. By looking at her eyes, you can sense that she isn't feeling well. Thanks for reacting to this unforgettable performance by Angelina during a charity event and reminding us about the legend Michael Jackson.

According to newspapers reporting from this event there was not a single dry eye in the audience after Angelinas performance. So who cares if her voice cracks a couple of times - it's all about the feelings she puts in to the song

This event was part of an anti-mobbing campaign. She took it very seriously. Swedish prime minister and other celebrities were there (we see pop star Carola). There were technical problems right before her performance. She had to stand before them alone, with bare feet and a cold, for a long time before allowed to sing. There is a video of this somewhere. It is one of the most impressive performances by her. Please continue your "critique". This is real life, not a fairy tail, and she is 18 years old now!

This performance is a window into who Angelina is..nothing gets in the way of helping others.

I will die listening to this epic performance from this little 8 year old girl who is not feeling well but gives it her all for charity....to me the illness she is dealing with simply adds to the absolute beauty of this performance....never to be seen again... You can tell Jordan was singing this song directly to the children of the world. It’s funny, she always speaks of them like they’re a different group of people than she is, even though she was their age. It’s like she knows it’s her true purpose in life to take care of them, and it started when she was six years old. Quite a human being, if that’s what she actually is! Sometimes I think we don’t deserve her, she is truly a Light in the Darkness!

This child delivers a pleading cry for the support of these children. It's heart wrenching. She has the ability to draw deep emotions from the hearts of her listeners. Her talent, even at this age, is mesmerizing. Even her cold limited voice delivers stunning results. I appreciate an honest and realistic reaction. Every song has not been perfect but she is our perfect Angelina.

It's very painful to listen and watch her do this performance, yet so very beautiful in transcendent ways. Another reminder of how blessed we are.

I almost think the congestion adds something special to the performance.

When I first heard this performance I was moved to tears. THIS is the one in which she captured my heart.

Angelina very sick, was advised not to sing! But... she was invited to contribute at a gala in Stockholm Sweden, which honored people who did something good for others. Of course Angelina couldn't cancel her number no matter how sick she was! Her raspy cold voice only added more flair to the performance. Not a dry eye in the audience, standing ovations! I recognized some pictures behind Angelina. Among other things, the picture is shown of a little girl who was badly bullied at school. Now she travels around Sweden and gives lectures against bullying! She uses her own experience to help others who are in the same situation she once was. Admirable to rise from humiliation and take such a bold step. The few quick pictures of the audience show that there are representatives from the Swedish government and other important people.

A lot of artists would try to make sure their early performances ( with imperfections) would not be seen. Not Angelina. The little toothless wonder stole my heart the first time I ever saw and heard her.

This always makes me tear up! What a brave little soul, an obvious sore throat, she looked pale, probably felt awful, but so determined to keep her promise.

I get it, you are critiquing Angelina as a professional, not just some little kid singing. It shows respect for her talent and all the work she’s put into her profession. I don’t know Angelina personally but have been listening to her for years, and I think that’s how she would prefer it. It’s a sign of respect.

She said in her documentary, she was obsessed in hearing and making music. And at this year she traveled a lot around the world to sing on charities collecting money for poor children 💕 a Heart full of 💕

Angelina has been there for the unfortunate since she was 6, I hope when Angelina needs someone to be there for her, all the Angels will be there for her together with her family. I certainly feel as though she was my dearest granddaughter. ❤❤❤❤👣

It gets to me every time, especially when she throws her little fist while trying her best to hit the high notes that she was unable to on that night. Her grit and determination are off the charts. You can see in her expression at the end that she was not pleased, but the audience was.

In other words you are criticising her as a full fledged artist, because that's how good she is at 8 years old.

There is NOTHING that she does and there is no breath that she takes that I am not interested in! One of my favorite reactors, Saucey Dad once said that she makes him think about EVERYTHING! She does that to me. She is at the very core of most thoughts that i have. Such a blessing as Angelina I did not even dream could exist.

That is why this particular performance is one of my top picks of live performances from her. And I am saying this from the first time I've watched this up until now... This is the sincerest "I'll be there" I have ever heard from anyone from any age next to MJ when he sang this. And I'm thinking of those in the audience who donated for this charity...they only gave little of their wealth, a small part of them, a little of their time for this cause... While this kid who sings on the stage..she gave her all, her everything to the point her voice cracks because she's far from being 100% physically. As somebody wrote before... The only thing bigger than her singing is her heart.

I, for one, am extremely grateful for your input into Angelina's ethereal world, and the obviously very hard work you do in researching and appraising her already vast body of work. That’s because the barefoot princes is absolutely an angel sent from heaven. I’m 56 years old nobody absolutely nobody in music has ever made me feel the way she makes me feel.

Angelina’s dedication and integrity shows through in this performance! She was sick and told not to perform. However, she made a commitment to be there for this charity event! Notice how she used her musical instrument to be able to perform this! She knew what notes she could and couldn’t hit! What a professional at eight years old!

I was also in tears when I saw it for the first time, her forehead was shining due to the slightly raised temperature and her singing was hoarse but that made it even more emotional, she is and will remain my hero and now at 18 the best singer of our time

Thank you for your great reaction! Angelina was eight years old at this charity concert in Stockholm in 2014,. Many famous Swedish singers were in the audience and performed at the concert. A Swedish newspaper reported that Angelina's performance made many celebrities in Sweden cry. Angelina had caught a cold, so her doctor advised her not to sing. But she didn't want to miss the opportunity to pay tribute to Swedish heroes who had made a difference in accidents and even saved lives. Despite her illness, she performed this touching tribute.

No one is perfect, period. The fact that Angelina was willing to try her best, was willing to risk some degree of failure (compared to perfection), was willing to accept that result and understand that growth never comes from perfection, but only from failure - that is why she is where she is today.

can't imagine how anyone in that crowd didn't choke up seeing this performance.... the cheques must have been flying that night. when Angelina's voice cracks, it reminds me of Joe Cocker's performance of, You Are So Beautiful, where he purposely reaches too high.

Thanks Aron, I like follow you on this long journey in the artistic and growth path of our wonderful barefoot girl. They are all videos that I have seen several times in the 10 years that I have been following Angie, but it's very interesting to see them again together with a person who is increasingly discovering that wonderful mix of immense talent, pursued dreams, constant application, fantastic sensitivity and wonderful dedication to the others, that Angelina represents. 💛🧡❤

Knowing the entire background and significance of this performance, tears still stream down my face when I watch her clench her fist with determination and try to belt out the lyrics “I’ll be there” and her voice slightly cracks in the process. For me, this is one of defining moments that I recognized her humanity. The 8 year old became a role for this 62 year right then. A few years later she still is.

Trust me there is another artist’s fan that was found playing to be an Angelina fan to get you so annoyed so that you won’t react to Angelina anymore , yes a nut , yes it’s true . It had been going on for awhile ….. I would just ignore them and continue , I look forward to watching your reactions. I’ve been with Angelina since she first aired on you tube “gloomy Sunday” in 2010 -2011 I was so blown away with her so much,I’m still here . If the people that are following your reactions can’t differentiate the technical aspects of your critique from your overall wonder of what makes Jordan so special, just ignore or block them from your channel. She has many fans whom I would classify as delusional, and think she was born with the ability to sing every note perfectly on pitch (440hz, which no one can do), without having to work hard at it. They can’t understand your technical analysis has nothing to do with your analysis of the emotional content that results from the way Jordan presents the song in her vocal interpretations. Her imperfections are what add to the emotional impact in many instances, as there are many technically correct singers with the emotional impact of a doorknob. Anyway, if you get tired of people attacking you for critiquing Jordan’s technical performance, just block them, this is your channel and you do what you want, you’re the expert. If they don’t understand what you’re about, don’t let that be your problem, the rest of us really enjoy what you’re doing, except when you overdo one song at one age lol!

Hello Aron, I don't know if there is any such thing as ultra perfect pitch, but if there is, our little Angelina has it. I have seen her do impromptu snippets in interviews, and according to the piano app on my phone she is spot on!! Angelina is obviously not perfect, especially when she is a bit under the weather but STILL insists the show go on because of the cause she was committed to, even at this early age. The thing is, these imperfections are what makes Angelina even more special, partly because they are very rare and partly because they prove that she is just a frail human like the rest of us. Any "Angels" that go off the rails when someone points out any imperfections are not really Angels, they want to be Cult Members.
