This podcast just validates why Lauren isn’t friends with them anymore. Not sure why/how anyone could trust any of their bitter narratives.

Jen and Heidi are made for each other. Kudos for Lauren for distancing herself from this hot mess, and them blaming everything on her with no accountability.

Jenn you kissed the guy your best friend liked after a terrible breakup. Heidi, you married the guy who told tabloids Lauren had a sex tape. Not sure what's so hard to understand about that. Bad choices = bad consequences

No wonder Lauren doesn't want to be apart of these reunions. The way ya'll are always trying to make her the villain for having boundaries and never take accountability for your actions is crazy.

So basically, Lauren grew up and realized who her real friends were. She realize that Heidi was always in it for the show and never was genuinely Lauren‘s friend.

This podcast has weird vibes. I think Whitney’s rewatch & Kristen/Stephen’s rewatch works because they don’t take it too seriously. They weren’t bashing anyone, they just do self reflection & give insight on producers, not hating on other people for something they did or said 15 years ago. They take into consideration maybe producers were coaxing them or telling them false truths.

Heidi has brought such a toxic energy to this podcast. Does anyone notice how Audrina and Heidi are just constantly fishing for ways to bash Lauren? Like when Jen said she ran into Lauren and Heidi asked “was she nice” with a smirk. Just stop already.. I can’t even listen anymore. Every time I end an episode I am left feeling such negative vibes.

Makes sense why Heidi and Jen continue to be friends…both continue to be shady that take no real accountability. Very sad to see at this stage in their lives.

One of the funniest things about this narrative that they’re trying to push is that when Heidi and Spencer were setting up fake scenes and storylines it’s their way of defending themselves but also they were the only ones savvy enough to do it. When Lauren set up her own she was taking things to seriously. They all were playing the same game Heidi is just taking it like she lost at her own game. Jen literally said how she ran into Lauren and how nice she was if there was real bad blood she wouldn’t be that way. Not every friendship is meant to last forever. Heidi really needs to get over the fact that her and Lauren’s friendship ended.

This is so sad. Lauren out there married to a gorgeous guy, with two gorgeous kids, making millions of dollars, living her best life - and these people are sitting here still shit talking her for things they did themselves 😂 After the first 10 mins I’m over it. I can sense what this is. And their sadness is making me realize it’s probably sad to care what they have to say about this shitty show from so long ago. ✌️

It would be nice to see the hosts take accountability instead of putting it all on Lauren.

On the show, Lauren said that Jen was the reason her and Lo didn't talk for 2 years. We probably only see the tip of the iceberg of whatever went on behind the scenes.

Literally, all I learned at the end was that Jen and Brody kissed and Jen has trauma blocked it. Otherwise, the episode wasn’t even discussed.

This show should be called “ Let’s talk shit about Lauren”

Lauren was so right. And watching this You can see how they were all worng, they cant even get their stories right, even 18 years later…

Watching these episodes shows that the producers really didn't need to do much behind the scenes to create drama..this particular group of "friends" is just messy bunch on their own! 😂

Heidi really ruined this podcast and her stories/lies don't even add up at this point. Now, she is pulling Jen into this mess as a guest who is also clearly not being honest given Brody's reaction. Other podcasts/shows around laguna beach show self -reflection, accountability, maturity, and not just bashing Lauren.

No accountability at all. Jen came on acting like she was this brand new mature person, girl bye. All of them act like editing portrayed them a certain way when they act exactly how they did on the show STILL. Jen sold gossip to blogs and tried to hook up w her best friends crush. That’s weird af. & Heidi after all these years can’t admit that she was at fault for what Spencer did. These are sad people.

I was really ready to give her a complete do over because she’s a doctor and that’s so impressive to me considering she seemed like an airhead on the show… she’s giving the same bad vibe 20 years later

This is seriously getting BONKERS. I can’t believe it. So basically they’re asserting that everything they’re “at fault for” was just scripted for the cameras but Lauren’s actions and reactions are legitimate. How is that possible? She would be PSYCHO. If they “all knew the kiss was scripted” why in the world would Lauren be mad? Think about it. If she’s “in charge” of the whole show, wouldn’t she know too? Plus, Jen is legit on the show in later seasons …. SIGH. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

At first Jenn didn’t sound like her old self and I was impressed at how much she had changed / grown….. after a few minutes of the drama unfolding she sounds like she’s back HAHA

Even if Jen and Brody didn’t kiss or may have kissed, Lauren said she did the same thing when she told Jen she liked Jason! Went and kissed him! So why would Lauren even trust her?!

Frankie literally says “Heidi and Spencer acting like producers encouraging Jen and Brody to hook up” and then the girls are shocked Lauren would only talk to them on camera…. 😂

I think Audrina, Brody, and Frankie should rethink having Heidi on this podcast. She seems eager to rewrite the story from her narrative, including saying things we know aren’t true (like Audrina being accused of talking to Jason and Jen not hooking up with Brody). It’s clear she doesn’t want to own up to the sex tape rumor or any other ways in which she wronged Lauren, so instead she’s making up excuses and lying about what happened. She is still bitter about events that took place so long ago, and she’s honestly insufferable to listen to in this episode and in the previous ones. I know the other hosts have seen how bad their reviews have been lately and if they want to redeem the podcast, they should kindly ask Heidi not to be apart of it anymore.

This is honestly so gross the way they act like theyre victims and it was all Lauren yet the stories have changed. Good for Lauren realizing these people were toxjc and moving on with her life. The fact they still continue to talk about her all these years later

Heidi is always acting like Lauren just hated her for no reason! Wtf, what about the conversation with Jen in the bathroom about Brody wanting to hook up with her and then going out and acting like Lauren’s best friend and like she did nothing! Is ridiculous at this time in life 😂

Also I really hope in part 2 they bring up the fact that Heidi was PUSHING Jen to hook up with Brody. Heidi was a major part of that situation and she got no blame for it at the time.

This is so disappointing. It’s turned into something that feels so negative. It does feel like Lauren bashing going on here..Give insight into what’s real and what is fake while being more objective. To paint Lauren as this villain in a space where her perspective isn’t actually heard feels wrong. Frankie is a class act. Also, we all grow and change, and there are often rifts in friendships, but sometimes you outgrow friendships and drift apart. And that’s life. Saying “some people hold grudges”, seems a bit hypocritical as it appears that many grudges are being held here…. Idk. You’ll definitely get viewers with Heidi on the podcast… but her energy most definitely brings bad vibes.. feels like a reality show in itself… hate to say this because I really want to like this podcast 😕🫢🤷🏻‍♀️

I really liked the idea of the podcast, because the hosts were more relaxed characters during the series and had a more fresh view of happen during The Hills (example Jason's interview and Jordan's interview). Now, feels weird, not fresh and relax... is more like "Let's rewrite the storyline so Heidi is not the bad friend anymore" ... This episode feels like to an attempt to make a more clean version of what happen. That's why Lauren would not participate... it's doesnt feel like a safe space to speak for her....

Lauren seems super cool on all these people. No one is taking accountability, but they are still desperate to be her friend. All these years later. It's like they think if they keep saying her name one day, she'll give them attention.

Ugh, these people take no accountability! Was Lauren perfect? No. Did I feel like sometimes she was a little overbearing? Yes. But I feel like it came from a good place. I think she thought what she was doing was helping and she wasn’t doing it maliciously. I understand wanting to give your point of view on things but they’re acting like they did nothing wrong and putting everything on Lauren. She is living her best life and I’m sure she’s not worried about any of these people.

I’ve heard on other forums that Lauren stopped being friends with Jen because she found out she was selling stories about her to the tabloids

I get a vibe that Jenn doesn’t feel comfortable on this with the Lauren talk…. I truly believe she would get close with Lauren if it was possible and she doesn’t want to sit here and trash her with Heidi who lives to trash people.

I really wanna like this podcast, but it annoys me. they always say “we don’t hate lauren” & “we were young, there’s no bad blood” but then they spend every episode basically bashing her. they always try to make it a point that lauren wanted to control the narrative, like heidi and spencer coming up with fake story lines for ratings isn’t the same thing?! they all want to control their own story lines and then get mad at eachother for it. Jen literally says Lauren was so nice when they ran into eachother. Heidi has said they’ve ran into eachother and she was nice. Lauren was on stephen and kristin’s podcast and was so sweet and apologized for some of her bad behavior. like enough already..

This wasn’t the only reason that Lauren stopped being friends with Jen she stated on an episode that had a previous falling out about Jen hooking up with someone else the Lauren had been with this was a pattern for her and she had also caused a falling out between LC and Lo so there were many reasons Lauren cut her off I think this was just the last straw.

The fact that Lauren trusted so much in Heidi, that she didn't realize that Heidi also was involved in the complot with Spencer, tells me why Heidi is obsessed with Lauren's forgiveness.

Still, Heidi takes zero accountability for her role in that episode. If her excuse is that her and Spencer were creating storylines, then for the storyline, she should have queued Lauren in and let her know, “Hey, I’m gonna make it seem like I’m trying to hook up Jen bunny and Brody”. I’m trying to figure out why this podcast has such weird vibes. I loved the hills and was excited for this. Enjoyed watching Whitney and Tim rewatch as well as Kristin’s and Stephen’s Back to The beach. Kristin owns her past mistakes and reflects back on it as does Stephen. It’s interesting that Lauren has been on their podcast and Whitney’s you tube channel but won’t come on here. Hedi and Jen takes no accountability and they blame Lauren a lot. You are adults and are responsible for your own decisions and actions. Best of luck to you all but I don’t think I will be listening anymore.

At the very least Jen and Heidi went along with a narrative that Jen was interested in Brody and wanted to hook up with him. Losing a bestfriend after years of friendship is definitely hard, however, Jenn AND Heidi need to stop acting like it's one sided. It's getting ridiculous... Regardless of what we saw as viewers, y'all WERE really best friends and so things could have happened outside of our knowledge. Is sis ever going to acknowledge that or even have to? No. But then give it up. Nobody has to stay friends with just because of longevity. Just because there isn't bad blood, doesn't mean we have to be friends. Okay so basically there blaming editing....B.C. The show DEF showed heidi(her best friend) encouraging her other best friend(jen) to hook up with Brody...this entire podcast is trashing lauren..heidi has literally blamed everything on Lauren..that's not how it works. Its very disappointing to hear no accountability being taken...

okay so almost exactly a year ago Jen revealed some things in her instagram stories about this Brody incident after Withney and her husband commented about it on their channel. Jen was not happy about how Whitney talked about it and claimed that the "real fight" was about someone recording conversations between people when cameras where off and wanted to show it to producers. Jen also said that she got blaimed for it and the brody storyline was a cover for that. I wonder if she's gonna mention that in part 2. Also I'm confused Jen saying that after this incident with brody she and lauren were done. Because she is back on the hills in season 3, at Laurens Halloween Party lol. She also meets up with Heidi in this season and says she and lauren are fine again and asks Heidi if she's sure that Spencer didn't start the s*x tape rumor...

Heidi is a liar. Jen doesn’t remember the story of thinking that Audriana was booking up with Jason. I also find it funny on why they can’t figure out why they’re not friends with Lauren.

It just feels like Heidi talked to Jen before this podcast and they like planned what to say. After all these years doesn’t seem like Jen has changed much, she’s still fairly immature, mean girly and a pot stirrer. But I know she’s a doctor now, so well done to her!

I don’t understand how they said there was no hook up. At the end of the episode Lauren asked Heidi if Brody told her that Jen kissed him and she said yes? Then what about when Jen shows up at Heidi’s job and apologizes to Lauren later?

I love how every episode everyone is bashing Lauren when they are only known about because of her! They need to take several seats. And I agree with everyone in the comments. Why would Lauren come on the show it would literally be 4 against 1 the entire time. I’m kinda hoping Whitney is coming in the snow to defend Lauren because this is madness. Beyond unfair. I think all of us still watch to see what they say next about Lauren. I feel like we need to always defend her name in the comments and I love that her fan base is so strong! Everytime they say something mean about Lauren I get so mad like she’s a friend of mine and it feels that way sometimes when watching your favorite ppl on tv. I rewatched this episode and knew there was no way they'd be taking accountability for anything so I skipped watching this one and went straight to the comments for the tea. 🤣 Just as I suspected. I never miss an episode of "Back to the Beach". "Was it real" makes me appreciate "Back to the Beach" even more.

Lol less than 10 minutes in and i just cant. "Editing and the producers" really? Just take the L and admit you did something that you shouldn't have. Also to what Heidi said about her and Lauren should still be friends. Why? You don't have to stay friends with people forever. Plus you were trying to convince Jenn to hook up with brody even when she seemed hesitant at first.

Heidi still wanting to come off as half innocent. When Lauren's feelings were getting hurt, Heidi was more worried about her bf who clearly hated Lauren and she was too busy being in love to see it. Jen also coming off as innocent. Brody is/was Mr. Player....yeah I hooked up and kissed everyone....why should I clear my name? I didn't do anything wrong....eyeroll....I think the true friendships all got caught up in a tv triangle disaster. It started affecting some of their lives. Heidi and Spencer ran with it and loved it while Lauren was seeing people for who they really were. And now there are some of them sitting here on this podcast trying to play it off as no big deal. You can't be friends with ppl you can't trust... I get there are situations that production made up but let's not play victim when y'all were Laurens friends and chose a storyline over a friendship...

I feel like Lauren understood that this was her show and she felt as though the people she was bringing onto it and trying to a favor were screwing her over. Even if she wasn’t with Brody, she knew how it would look if the show made it seem like Jen and Brody hooked up - probably thought that would make HER look bad. I think it could’ve been fixed w more discussions but I think women in their early 20s are super petty and catty and Lauren did what she thought was best by cutting these people out she felt were adding toxicity to her life.

It’s funny to me how they made sure to say “leave Jen alone in the comments” and “no bullying” but they continue to bash Lauren and blame her for everything and paint this narrative of Lauren being awful and controlling. When I’m reality she just put up very clear boundaries and when people cross those boundaries, she cut them out of her life and she’s not wrong for that.

Notice how Heidi doesn’t even let Jen talk and tell her side of the story. Heidi explains the narrative of how she wants the world to perceive the situation before allowing Jen to give her perspective which is basically just confirming what Heidi said. Jen and Heidi were not friends until around 2010 after Lauren and Jen really were over. Jen was still trying to be famous if you go back far enough on RU-vid there’s videos of her attending Z list red carpet events talking about how her and Heidi are in talks about getting their own show and Jen used to do the fake paparazzi photoshoots with Heidi around the time of her surgeries. Heidi only became friends with Jen because she used to be friends with Lauren and probs thought she’s the closest thing to Lauren I have now and probs thought it would look “great” if she “stole” Lauren’s ex bestfriend. They fell out a few years ago after Gunnar was like 1/2 and they’ve only re-connected this last year so Heidi saying Jen is one of her best friends is laughable. Stephanie Pratt exposed Heidi of not having many friends so she’s just clinging to Jen as she doesn’t have any other real friends. Brody is trying to paint this picture he never did anything. One minute he’s acknowledging there were feelings between him and Lauren but when he screwed her over they were just forcing it for the show and didn’t really like each other. Him and Lauren hooked up and regardless if they really liked each other to the point of having a genuine relationship Lauren still had a crush and I’d be pissed too if my best friend of 18 years was trying to hook up with a guy I’ve hooked up with and had a crush on. I do feel Lauren was being manipulated by producers and the crew who were probably telling her “she said this and he said that. These two were saying this in a scene about you. You need to put her in her place” etc etc. I can’t imagine the pressure of carrying a huge tv show on my back at 21. Having fame hungry people (Brody, Spencer, Audrina) coming into my life knowing their intentions are to just be on a show and to not really be my friend, then finding out they are doing shady stuff on said show to make you look bad, selling stories about you to the press (Spencer) and then when your one genuine friend sits back, watches it happen, and then starts to join in and orchestrate the whole thing (Heidi shoving Jen into Brody’s bed practically cause she knew it would upset Lauren). Lo (as shady as she is) said she viewed people on the show as her co-workers. Lauren certainly did the same. She had them in her life when she needed. She put up with their constant back stabbing and throwing her under the bus. She did the show until she could go off onto better things. She wanted to leave after season 3 but for the benefit of the crew AND cast she did one more season before she knew it was popular enough to continue on without her because she didn’t want her leaving the show to cause some many people (not just the cast but crew also) to lose their jobs. They cry and complain she doesn’t speak to them anymore but who really talks to people they worked with 10 plus years ago? Especially ones that talk shit about you years later in the press. Their behaviour on these podcasts just validates exactly why Lauren cut them all off all those years ago. It speaks volumes if the only person from the hills (other than Lo until recent times) that Lauren kept a genuine friendship with was Stephanie. None of the people on this podcast had any sort of relationship with one another until 2018 when the reboot was happening. Heidi spoke to Audrina and Kristin on occasion when she needed a headline and that was it. But now that it benefits them they want Lauren to show up and “explain” herself 😂🤣 I would give my left arm for Lauren to do a 1 hour podcast where she literally tells the whole truth about each and every cast member and reveals all their dirty laundry like they do her each and every week but she has class. You can reminisce on past and explain things and how they really happened without dragging other people down or changing the narrative completely to suit you better. That’s why Kristin and Stephen are doing so well with their podcast. They spill the tea, clarifying things, have fun with the episodes and are kind when talking about cast members. They also own up when they did wrong because they were kids! Nobody would judge Heidi if she held her hands up and say “god in that episode I was a really shitty friend to Lauren I could have done this better I would never say or do that today” but she never does. We’d respect her and the rest of the cast if they owned up to their mistakes but they can’t admit to doing anything wrong and place the blame on someone they know will never come out and defend themselves. It just shows what kinds of people they are and it’s just sad that they think people are stupid and actually believe any of the crap they keep spewing on this podcast.

The only way to save this trainwreck is actually get Lauren on and interview. Cmon, let's rumble.

I like that Jen called this out. I also LOVE how she credited Audrina with always being kind and staying true to herself… and didn’t say that to Heidi(because it’s simply not true) They all chose their paths, to a certain extent. I do find Audrina, Brody and Frankie to be truly kind people IRL.🤷🏼‍♀️

I wish you guys talked about the two scenes-one with Lauren and Jen when she came to her house to talk about everything and the next one with Lauren and Heidi re-hashing it all out and break that all down a little bit

Lauren did really like Brody though. that's why she was upset... it was messed up what they did.. knwoing she liked him. Friends dont do that. She messed up and insted of being an adult and fessimg up to it and apologize she just denying it..how about when jen went to heidis job to talk about it and Heidi was mad that she was there and she lied about it

It was a betrayal. Why say all that shit on camera if nothing happened?? No one fed those words to you. @Brody is just as guilty. And was a let down this episode. But he is not Lauren’s long-term friend. Still… this helped Me understand why he and Spencer were friends as long as they were… acting like this. That Brody and Jen exchange was a bit intense. I absolutely believe Brody when he says that he and Jen kissed. What did Jen apologize to Lauren for if nothing happened??? And Audrina confirmed she was there during a phone call about the situation. SN: Lauren and Audrina cooking is so cathartic 😁 I loved doing that with friends :) Their hangout this eppy at the club was another fun one to see :) There is no justification for Heidi and Jen. If there is this much apprehension on someone your bestie liked and hung out with YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE ANYTHING WITH THEM!!! And Jen called to ask Lauren for permission to hookup with Brody?!?! Ewww… I do not see how Jen stayed friends with Heidi after seeing how things played out over the course of those episodes and the things Heidi said about her then. Lauren really believed that the betrayal was all on Spencer. Understandably so. He was of course at fault but it was not all him. It seems it was more the patterns that Jen displayed throughout her and Lauren’s friendship. Heidi really threw Jen under the bus and her true nature really came out this episode. She lied right to Lauren’s face!! And Heidi sold out Jen when she was just as or more triflin’ with planning this tryst behind Lauren’s back. “I don’t have to remind you to be my best friend” -Lauren “He is a sucky person” -Lauren “I didn’t do anything” -Heidi - this is Heidi’s go to for all the bad things she does. “Exactly, you didn’t do anything” -Lauren That entire exchange with Lauren and Heidi at their apartment was disheartening. Heidi really said she had nothing to do with it?!?! And that she told them to stop? I wonder how Lauren and Jen felt after they watched Heidi’s lies on this episode. Here it seems that Jen took issue with how Heidi acted then…and speaks on it. And Jen seems to dispel the Audrina hanging out with Jason story that Heidi brings up. But Jen was icy to Audrina at that time with something that happened back then. I do believe that Spencer brought out this side of Heidi (and Jen) and it was hard for Lauren to see… but when people show who they are… believe that shit. I do not believe that Lauren was upset about Jen and Heidi hanging out, ever. Ultimately, Lauren feels her friends would have gone back to being good people without Spencer around. 🤔 This episode/exchange was actually good. Jen gave Audrina a nice compliment on how she carried herself on reality TV, which is a bit questionable in certain situations, but that was really kind and sweet to say. @Frankie- It is wonderful when you get with a significant who truly enhances you and makes you a better person. I do not feel Jen was an accessory but she did not seem to have any legs to stand on when she and Lauren later have their face to face on what happened that infamous night. I know that later on Lauren forgives Jen and they become friends again. Jen is even at Lauren’s house during her final episode of The Hills. Heidi, again, there is really no way or space for you and Lauren to be friends today.
