The first wiz I maxed out was my Balance. I still don’t have a perfect pet but I’m on the way to having one by questing on my now level 100 death. Balance is definitely the most fun school to play and is amazing in solo and group play. You’ll definitely have to use “team up” on certain bosses and you’ll see that similar schools like ice and life wizards have to team up on these same bosses which makes it not a problem at all.

My experience soloing with Ice has been great. Reindeer Knight has been a great and easy AOE to farm. I also have been using crafted gear to get both ice and death damage so I can use ship of fools to regain health. Love it!

empower is a huge strategy that you'll rarely if ever see people mention in solo questing guide videos. I used to use it when I soloed in spirit schools. its best used on life death and balance under level 100(before they get their pip decks), and because they get waterworks gear that makes them reach almost 100% power pips for balance especially using this strat gives them the biggest damage boost for the least amount of effort compared to other schools. using empower turn 1 and power nova turn 2, is essentially the same damage as using a 70% blade turn 1, and using sandstorm turn 2. so compare that to turn 1 blading a 25, 35, or 45 blade and then using a 4 pop aoe turn 2. in other words empower is very much better

I used this strategy before that snappy gryphon pet existed. therizinosaurus existed but I never thought to use it. you could very much also use this strategy to turn 2 use the snappy gryphon aoe but the damage on the card is relatively low 🤷‍♀️ use with caution if u plan to use on mobs

Thanks for the advice! I'm always happy to learn new strats for Wiz that spice up the game a bit more, especially for Balance since it's already different from the rest.

Yeah balance is awesome, my first wizard, them had maxed almost every other wiz and haven't touch it at all lol, just not worth it guys seriously, you get a life wiz with more health and better heals, or just get an ice tanky wiz with better shields, or even go Death with better blades and traps like why would you even consider a lower attack, crappy 20-25 blades and mediocre traps that you still have to train for traininy points for? UNLESS YOU ARE MENTAL!

I personally think balance it's the best school, I've reached level 102 (I'm leveling up all my 7 characters at the same time) by my own, without any kind of help and I didn't have any problem since I started. Balance has strong AoE spells and single attacks (judgement is all u need), a lot of hp, strong heals (availing hands heal basically the same as satyr), shields, minions, weaknesses, traps, blades... as the school name says, it is perfectly balanced, it has it all. Moreover, there are a lot of options to choose between in every single fight, unlike the other schools. The only cons are tower shield and balance bosses, but that's why there are spells like hydra, chimera, spectral blast and many more to kill these bosses and/or destroy the tower shields. Balance is the most prepared school for any kind of situation, and now that I am almost at the end of khrysalis, I have to say that this is by far the school that I'm enjoying the most next to myth and life, and the one that I'm having the least trouble to solo (and then death and life).

To each their own. As someone who has all of these schools on max except for Balance, Ice, and Life (My Life is in Polaris and Balance is still in Khrys) I think Death is the easiest in the game by far because of drains and then it's Fire, Storm, Life, Myth, Ice, and then Balance. It's good to hear differing perspectives!

@@Firestarter_101 I think Storm and fire are the hardest bc of their low hp and lack of protection/heals (kinda the same with myth), but specially fire bc of the dmg overtime. With death u have to deal a nice amount of dmg to heal urself, otherwise it's over (u lost pips and blades to receive no hp back). Ice is just a matter of patience 😅

I saw you said that ice is one of the worst schools in the game for regular pve? I kinda disagree with that. I think balance fire and storm are all worse than ice in solo pve. My logic is that ice gets so much resist and health that it can easily make up the time that it loses by needing to blade one extra turn per hit compared to storm. Especially now that frost giant is so insanely strong, and ice gets the best shadow hits in the game by far.

I really don’t understand where all the ice being bad arguments have come from recently. Ice is honestly crazy in solo pve. You just make a setup with 180 ish damage 80 resist and 50 pierce and argue that 1 extra turn of blading per hit is irrelevant because you’re never going to die anyway. Every time I hear people complain about ice they never give any numbers, or explain what they mean. I wish players would use numbers more often to describe their feelings. What I am saying is that in pve ice 7 pip aoe with 1 blade 870*(100+180)*1.35=3288.6 compared to myth 1000(100+237)=3370 without a blade. That shows on average how much ice would need to buff extra per hit to do about the same amount of damage.

I am saying that ice can die, but it’ll take so much longer on an ice than any other school. Players underestimate the amount of value that resist really is. The more resist a school has the more it stacks onto itself and becomes more powerful. For example the difference in the amount of damage somebody with 99 resist compared to somebody with 98 resist. The person with the 98 is taking double the damage compared to the person with 99. This is just an example of what I mean when I say resist stacks onto itself, obviously not a real situation, but this logic can be extrapolated down to lower resist values to show how it gets stronger the more resist you have. I would say the biggest problem with ice is that their low pip utility cards are the worst in the game. It’s not even close. Ice has no cards even close to the level of shatter, feint, empower or any of those kinds of cards. The best ice has is legion shields and tower shield which are inherently bad in solo pve, and even in team pve they are just removed by a single aoe. This massive problem definitely prevents them from being higher than myth death or life.

@@SimbasGloryquesting in ark 2 is very slow, max ice is better but it’s still worst health gets more health more resist and not only that result is basically useless when the enemies have 50 pierce. And life gets more health even tho they can heal all the way from 0 to max

@NinjaMatt55 enemies don't get 50 pierce they are maxing out at about 35. And even if they did have 50 pierce maycast brace combined with shielding when needed. Basically what I am saying is why would I care about fights where I am going to win anyway. I don't really care about average speed, I only care about winrate and the amount of damage I am doing compared to the amount of health I have. Wiz101 is a card game, so it doesn't make sense for time to matter it's purely emotional if you think ice is bad at blade aoe because every school can do that.

nah balance is not the worst imo it’s ice. But ice has the thing where it’s aesthetic is very good and it’s fun to play, people i’ve heard say that balance is a chore to quest late game. I’ve never heard someone really complain about ice late game, most of the gripes is ark 1 and 2

There's def an argument to be made for both, Ice does less damage overall but they also get stronger blades and fighting Ice bosses is much easier. It's situational.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Balance is the best school, you know why? Its literally in the name, its balanced. You clearly don't under KI's goal with this game and are too blinded by your love for life (I didn't watch the video) to understand what they are going for. This game needs to be BALANCED you understand? This can only be achieved by every player in Wizard 101 deleting all of their characters that aren't balanced wizards. You alone are killing this game with this opinion. This is especially true when you take into account the budding esports scene around this game. You didn't cook here tbh.
