Goodman's Best Role, as if he never had to step out of character. That is just him!!! LOL He was good in the Cloverfield movie as well, played a very realistic crazy man LOL AHH This is like the Good ol' Days Rant back during the 30th Madness. I do not miss that, but nostalgic looking back as that was my first big MTG YTube event, actually drove me further away from the game looking in retrospect! The old will always hold, and I am still stitting on everything I had. Only 1 card so far purchased this year LOL, 50cents for a silly Castle ArdenVale, land pumps creature tokens! I always like having that. Silly mentioning almost lol Keep on huntin' Broski Good Times that can be better!

I’m very happy to see her go. Magic is still my favorite game to play, but I’ve very intentionally left it to play Sorcery. That’s not to say Sorcery isn’t a good game, it’s a really good game, but it was about who deserved my hard earned money. Magic lost it and Sorcery earned it. I’m glad this change was made, but I’m not giving them a dime until I see real change.

fair enough, chase! i totally understand that decision. as a consumer, the only thing you can really do to try to influence a companies decisions, is to stop buying product. you know i take the same approach. and to be honest, i really like sorcery, and i always love to try new games, but i don’t think i would have gone all in if mtg had not f’ed up that much. do i hear ya, buddy! 😁👊🏻

We had the answer to the problem the entire time printed on a red card. Tactical Survivor Strike on this one, the Goblin King deserves and Emoji Broski! In honor of our slain Goblins, and in memory of the 30th Anniversary Nightmare! I have had better strolls through Silent Hill LOL

I dont know if she got fired, these people also resign because they have better options, as far as I have seen she made Hasbro more money than ever. It does not matter who is CEO next, they must deliver double digits to the shareholders (Hasbro in this case) if the next CEO dont squeeze every penny out of the fiends they will get replaced.

hey ricardo! thanks for the comment, buddy. and indeed, of course we will never know for sure what happened, but normally on does not give up a job of 6,5mil a year. and hasbro has a creative way of bookkeeping. if the stock drops as low as it did, it means people are losing money. revenue may have been good, but they still layed of a lot off people. bank of america was sounding the alarm bell about wotc slaughtering their golden goose. i guess not all was peachy. i agree that money for shareholders was and always will be the main objective, but i hope they realized that, if they wanna ensure that money flow longterm, they need to throttle down the squeezing somewhat 😁👊🏻😜

Still remember 30th coming out like yesterday. Glad I stuck it out, cuz this game is awesome, but the amount of people lives she ruined and game stores she shut down is pretty sickening. mtg 30th, commander masters, and so many other atrocious sets that were just money grabs really annoys me.

i agree, energetek. mtg 30 was a major event in mtg’s history, and unfortunately one far from the celebration we all hoped it would be. aftermath was a disaster and it took a while and will still take very long for consumer confidence to come back! (for some it won’t happen, as they left the game). as ceo she is directly responsible for all this, which i consider the worst time in mtg history since chronicles. 😬

Bitter taste still from it, I endured for a while but that ultimately drove me almost completely away from New Product. I like to look and make fun though! LOL The new Cowboy Bebop Edition is interesting LOL I will love this game forever going back, 2000 and before I still feel good about. Especially 94 and 95 range of cards.

@@59thSurvivor-of-VHSdon’t let your love of the game be destroyed by the dislike of the conpanies direction. i do not buy any product to collect or build decks, but i buy an occasional box, just to play with friends. it is always good fun and that’s oke. those 130 bucks every 4 months won’t make the difference. i will get a brave star 😜 box for the next session and i don’t feel going against my principles with that 🙏🏻👊🏻

@NerdAndProudOfIt I am learning to enjoy new things in my own Retro dismantling way. Comedy is crucial for me in everyday life lol, Great short. When I find a small crew to actually play with I will become far more invested in older deck building. For now I can make some shorts about a few Orzhov Decks I pieced out of the collection. I just had a short on the game POGS if you recall that craze, I still have mine.

@@59thSurvivor-of-VHSplay the way you like. one fun evening at a time! older decks, a recent box, some precons, it doesn’t matter. personally i enjoy 2 vs 2 wizards tower the most. just 9 bosters of a recent set and experience and get to know the cards in an open draft together. great fun! 😁👊🏻

MTG being tied to a company on the stock market nothing is going to change. No matter who the CEO is. Their only goal at this point is to make money at all cost. MTG makes Hasbro over 50% of all it's profits. Until some of their other products start making money MTG will suffer.

hey herpderp! thanks for the comment! yeah, making money certainly is the main goal. only hope i have is, that after having seen that too extreme monetiztion backfires they will start thinking about monetization longterm and be more reasonable. we hurt their wallet with out boycott after mtg 30. they will remember that and new leadership might mean something after all. 👊🏻

@@NerdAndProudOfIt Problem is it didn't backfire. They made more money than ever before. That kind of thinking is not how publicly traded companies work. They don't care about long term. They only care about the next quarter report. Make as much money as you can get to those bonuses. CEO is out in 2-3 years with millions.

@@herpderp66but did they really? those quaterly earning calls were looking bad. and the recent one’s are presented as better than tge ones before, but what does that mean? lotr did well, but many sets did not. hasbro stock is still down since bank of america warned us multiple times about wotc killing their golden goose mtg. not as low as it was, but still. i hear ya and i know that’s how companies work, but she has not been fired for no reason and keeping mtg alive will make them more money than killing it. they will still test their limits and go to extremes to bleed the customers dry, though, agreed, but stuff like mtg 30 is off the table for now, imho 😁👊🏻

Magic has been broken from the very beginning. It was never created with any kind of reasonably balanced systems. It's not like chess, it's more like "flavor of the meta win combos" with either luck of the draw or stuffing your deck with fishing cards to get that winning strategy while keeping enough control of the board to get card draws. Or faceroll red or red-like turn 3-4 wins. I still play this shitty game, even though I actually hate it, it's got some word of weird hold on me. I feel like it's similar to how gamblers keep throwing away money on a slot machine, feeling self-loathing the entire time, but they just can't seem to help themselves. One of the best things that could happen would be for Magic to just go away, it has too many issues from the beginning to be a good game. Cynthia is hardly to blame for how awful the game is, although she certainly didn't do anything to try and fix it. But, again, I don't think this game can be fixed at this point. I like the lore of the game, I love the stupidly high fantasy elements, the artwork, etc, it's just the actual GAME mechanics that suck. It would be nice if maybe they scrapped everything that has come before and just made a new game based on the lore, using all the lessons they've learned over the last 30 years.

hey rustybrooks! thanks so much for the detailed comment. i am sad to hear you experience a game that you love in such a negative way. i respect your oppinion, but i personally have to strongly disagree with you. i think mtg is one of the best games ever created and i love the countless hours of fun matches i played with and against my friends. sure, it has a lot of flaws, but it is a wonderful game at heart. especially now that my more competitive days are long over, i enjoy mtg even more. as a kitchentable game it is unbeatable when it comes to fun evenings. stay frosty, buddy! 👊🏻😁🙏🏻

In the field of video gaming, it is heavily damaged by the woke agenda that many of the so-called game journalists and even employees in game developers turn out to be woke activists instead of decent humans doing their jobs. Sweet baby Inc. is the cancer to the video gaming industry and they disclosed that they have been working with WOTC as well. Look at those LOTR cards with many characters turned into black unnecessarily and that does not match with the original movies/ novel. WOTC did follow the trend and ban cards like Crusade and Invoke prejudice for the fucking political correctness reasons. They did that promptly, much more efficient than how they react to players' comment, how thoughtful they were!

7:05 yeah Jurgen, I think the lack of drama over CW leaving might be a sign that a lot of people have given up on the game. Probably a bad sign. As a hardcore Modern Format fan and an enthusiastic collector, I can totally understand if people are becoming disillusioned in the brand. They are reprinting everything into the ground. The speed of reprints is dizzying. I looked up Archange of Tithes today, the OTJ copy, and it is $3! That is insane to me, and this is only one example. I hope WotC gets their heads out of their collective asses and turns the ship around. Lose the woke malarky and cutesy crap and get back to making good sets and actually put forth some effort to take care of competitive play.

hey shaolincowboy! thanks for the detailed comment, i appreciate it! i agree, i have the fear that the silence is caused by indifference. i already had that feeling when another low on the stock market hit hasbro shares a few months ago and nobody seemed to care anymore. that would be a very bad sign, indeed! 😬 it seems they wanna turn the ship around, though. not just now, but over the recent months signs of efforts to stabilize were visible. let’s hope they manage to head into the right direction 👊🏻

we need more reprints, the reserve list is and was a mistake. These are cardboard and game pieces first and foremost, there's no reason any card in standard should be 20$+ and over 5$+ outside of standard. it would be like saying monopoly isn't making any more "get out jail free" cards and "get out of jail free" cards on the secondary market are 400$.

yeah, you’re wrong there. it’s not a boxed boardgame like monopoly or doninion, for example, in which you have all the components identical to every other version of the game. then they could just print a 200 card set and sell precons or complete sets only. no need for randomization or boosters. it’s a collectable card game and this is exactly how it works. without the reserved list mtg would not exist anymore. in fact they should expend 1-2 cards a set, it to create value for newer players too. go buy a boxed game if you don’t like it! 😁👊🏻

I wonder what marshmello looks like? He wears a box on his head. There are some wrestlers who wear masks so they definitely are unrecognizable in person. If I had kids & a family I'd probably do the same! I actually was going to do a cool face cover thing but then I met dual brain mtg & did my first video with him so I said F it. Anonymity is definitely needed especially for what certain people display. Rudy doesn't give a crap that we all know he's in Florida.
