It seems to me that much of the latency in response to stick command deals more with the transmitter not making the servos activate immediately with first small movement, check it out. Once the servos move, this little copter does a pretty good job of flying nice and stable on its own. Seems the fish eye swash and carbon shaft would be the better choice here! Would be great to have a transmitter the quality of say a DX6 spectrum, there you would see a world of difference in the ability to easily control this little bird.
I don't use all the metal parts, it's way too heavy all together (i'll explain).. The best parts to use hands down are: 1. Carbon fiber main shaft, it's the lightest of all the three types (Steel stock: strong but heavy, Aluminum: comes with CNC parts, lighter but bends easily, Carbon Fiber: Lightest of the three, strong and flexible, doesn't bend). 2. Delrin Main Gear, it's thicker (more gear contact, torque) and it has angled blades for spokes which adds extra lift and cools the battery). 3. Metal (CNC) swash plate, it's fisheye and the control arms are stiffer than the flexible plastic ones which give faster response and it's more robust, worth the extra weight. 4. Plastic (stock) head, the metal CNC head is too heavy and requires extra metal parts to fit V911 blades. 5. Paddle flybar (look on ebay), it's shorter than the stock weighted flybar and is more aerodynamic (reduces eddies, drag). 6. Nine Eagles Solo Pro Main Motor (NE402270019A), it's larger (but still fits in the V911 frame), more robust and more powerful. 7. 200mAh Lipo battery pack, more flight time. You really can't make the V911 any better than the above configuration. The best thing is, all these parts can be found cheap on ebay for a few bucks with free shipping. Note: The metal swash guide and metal collar are not necessary, unless you break the stock ones, it's best to not use the heavier CNC parts.
I think your comment was more helpful that the video in all honesty! Although I'm quite satisfied with the stock heli I've been wanting to upgrade it to really see what it can do. However I am quite inexperienced and a video demonstrating the installation of the parts you've listed as well as a performance demonstration would really be insanely helpful and greatly appreciated.
sweet, now you're helicopter is twice as heavy and instead of breaking Parts you will just bend them now. I highly recommend carbon main shaft, paddle flybar and plastic fisheye swashplate.
If you don't like talking then add some text at the end of the video with some conclusions. Was the upgrade worth it? How was performance effected? Thanks.
these look super smart with the metal parts but they add so much weight to them the fly like a sack of potatoes afterwards, it's not really an upgrade, more of a cosmetic thing that costs performance, stock or more refined plastic parts make these fly best
I'm having a horrible time with installing the new swash guide. I'm unsure if I have the bearing plate trimmed down enough. The swash guide will not fit. I wish I would have left the old one alone. I have the blue kit for my H911

im curious if the medal upgrade will get damaged easier i like to get crazy with mine and im thinking the plastic will have more leeway against crashes.. any thoughts on that? how durable is the medal upgrade?
