Dont sell gear ever. Always salvage everything you dont need, and sell jewelry fragments when you need money. Gear sells for 5-6k usually, but salvages into 11-17 fragments, fragments sell for 1000 copper, so selling a sword for 5k, loses you 6-12 k every time.
Great tips! Also for backstabs, equipping a throwing knife allows you to walk much faster while maintaining stealth. Aim it and approach your target, then stop aiming and you’ll be setup for a finisher😊
Never thought of this. Good idea. One way to approach slow (but also fast) is to hold the guard block button down but then spam it over and over. You’ll be creeping up slowly but then speed up for moment then in guard position, then creep in faster, and on and on
There is a much better farm for cups of cordiality actually. It's in region 5 in a mission 'The Uninhibited heart'. Takes about 30 seconds to run through the mission.
@Hua I'm having a hard time leveling up different armor and weapons for different builds it's expensive and the resources are limited I wish there was farming spots for all the steel and leather
DO NOT UPGRADE GEAR IF YOURE GOING TO CUSTOMIZE ITS SKILLS The cost scales violently based on its upgrade level, so customize the skills BEFORE you upgrade it. Made cao caos free 4* set prohibitively expensive to customoze before realizing it
I believe salvaging can also extract all applicable buffs. You can see it under "salvageable jewelry essence," sometimes there's none because you already have it unless it's a unique essence. There are two types of essence that you can temper: unlimited essence and the limited ones, you can see a counter for these essence.
Yeah exactly, you don't have to extract every effect , the unlimited one once you get the gear that have it you can use the effect on any weapon but only the rare once and believe me this system way easier then Nioh rng lol
God there's nothing I like more than finally clearing your way to the end of a room you've been trying to get across for like an hour losing finally finally make it through game crashes
You’re right on with number two especially(because that’s much less obvious). I didn’t extract buffs and essence from gear before salvaging, and had I known, I could have built much higher earlier in. Thanks for this. Great work.
Talking about "refarming and leveling" before the hard boss and showing Lu Bu gates - can't be coincidence :D This is exact moment when I found that out, was even prepared to sacrifice whole level progress to upgrade my gear and prepare for him (fantastic fight tho)
On the Boss fights their depleted Health Bar turns transparent and can be incredibly stubborn. I’ve noticed that if you use a Martial Arts skill it seems to make quick works of the remaining health. Not sure if that’s just my build or a it’s a built in mechanic.
Only really matters if you plan to have a friend or 2 join your game but if someone joins (and you accept) while you're half way through a mission it resets you to the beginning, or if someone disconnects mid mission you gotta completely restart
@@Captain_Chaz86it depends on if you’re using Reinforcements or the Online Lobby to get them in. I don’t get reset for Reinforcements but do if I invite friends via the lobby. So I just plan to run the map again with friends.
@@Mr_DGrim Just to clarify. it is all buffs. There are two types of buffs, ones that you have a certain number of uses for and ones you can use as much as you like, You need to salvage/remove a non-jewelled buff before you can use it infinitely on other gear. For example there's a non-jewelled buff you can get for Ranged Weapons that gives you the Cao Cao set bonus ability to Mark Flags on the minimap, you need to salvage one of those from a Ranged weapon before you can add that buff to other gear as much as you like.
Great content by the way. Thanks for sharing. If I may … In future perhaps be beneficial to have continuity in your movement slides. For instance at 1:05 when discussing the difference between the light and heavy armor mobility moves, you split the screen and labeled which is which (Fantastic! Nice touch!) with the light armor dodge move set being showcased in the lighter colored armor, and the heavy in the dark armor but then you switch to showcase more of the light armor moves but your wearing the black armor which just moments earlier you indicated was the heavy one Small gripe. Only taking the time because I appreciate the content and want to see it polished as greatly as possible. Thanks keep it up EDIT: upon rewatch I believe I was confused and you did not do as I thought so while this suggestion still remains, I don’t think it’s applicable here. Just think the clip wasn’t exactly timed up with voiceover. Forgive me. Keep it up. Thanks
Most people from what I have seem to try to fight things head on to much being sneaky helps even if your character is a high level giga chad being smart still helps.
Not sure if you know but you can also upgrade all of the armor you got from deluxe edition or pre ordering, and also the crouching dragon helm to +3 for free, no resources required
That's weird I just got my weapon and 1 piece of armor that I use to +9 and the pre order/demo helm and armor with the inheritance perk on it were all free up to +9. Not sure why it didn't work for you.
@@aganydonato4374 If you don't have other items that are +2-9 you have to pay to upgrade the pre order armor if you level up one item to +9 it's all free. I just did it. The inhertiance perk even says free to level up to your highest leveled item it could be bugged for some though.
Isn’t that dodge slash move your showcasing at 1:20-ish a martial arts move? One of my martial arts move does a side step and then slash, like the nicest has a built in dodge to use if not got the counter (or even better the counterdeflect ((hold RB while hitting deflect button at right moment)) By the way, this counter deflect move is vastly underrated and I haven’t sent many winking videos really touch on how good it can be. If times right, it can interrupt enemies attack and score critical strike, rather than just deflecting with one button and then following up with attack by hitting a different button. This counterdeflect, is like doing the basic counter and then followup attack in one svelte move. Plus, I think it delivers a critical strike if I’m not mistaken
You can get Lu Bu's weapon and armor, (got to farm it I think though), as well as other bosses. You also get various companions (aka reinforcements) and when you get oath level 10 you get a copy of their armor and weapon... like Zhao Yun, guan yu, sun Jian, etc.
@@brandong.1337 I know about companion weapons, I only wanted Lu Bu's set. And since you confirmed that we can farm it, will do that. By any chance do you know which mission we can farm it though ?
Casual, light armour is more than enough especially with right skills, 90% of the player base using light armour in PvP for a reason, this game about parrying and window is huge, we don't need heavier armour.
The embedment system is highly confusing and needs a video on it's own. Since when can you transfer buffs from one gear to another and how? What can be transferred and what can't? I'm 20hrs in and this is the first I've ever heard of "jewelry essence". Also you hold block for easy stealth kills not parry.
Not really. You use Jewel Essence and coppers to put buffs on weapons and armor, you usually can’t have two of the same type of augment (I’ll call them this because I forgot what their called💀) on one weapon/armor piece. Some augments are limited use and can only be on one thing at a time. You salvage items you don’t what to get more jewel essence and get the limited use augments from those salvaged items. It all ended up costing a lot of coppers tho. Hope this helped
It's real simple man. You go to the blacksmith and salvage unnecessary weapons and armor, some of them will drop a passive effect that was on that piece of armor or weapon. You can see how many jewelry essence and which effects you'll get on the right side of your screen. When embbeding a weapon you have to remove an effect first to clear up a slot for you to be able to add an effect of your choice to the weapon or armor. The rarity of your weapon determines how many slots you have, 1 star has 1 slot, 2 star has 2 slots, 3 has 3 slots and 4 stars have 4 slots. That's about it.
Go to the embedment option, select the embedment slot, hold A or your bottom button to extract the augment you want(you typically can’t extract the top embedment, only the bottom three), and then you can apply augments to the empty slots.
@@reezspieces i want to make this clear, does salvage also remove and collect all augments from the gears, so i don't need to store them first before salvage right?
I replayed this mission with no gear to get the ‘Bareback Warrior” title, took me two attempts. And then equipped gear and replayed like for the “Undying Hero” title, took me like an hour or so idk I didn’t time it lol it was fun tho
Hmm how exacly works this option 》》 Return too battelfield ? 《《 My dungeon battlefield always reseted. Always need start from begining ? Multi reseted it ? How use this properthy ?
The progress is saved for your current Main Battlefield. The mission where your story is up to. It doesn't save if you leave a Sub mission or a replay of a previous battle.
Game moves to well, you're playing on a console right :P? I got a decently high end PC and even your video has better FPS than my in game FPS :)) I can't wait for the performance updates, thank god i was already trained with a controller from buying a PS4pro from Bloodborne, cause im hearing ppl who are playing on keyboard and mouse are extremely disappointed.
I always play controller on PC for these types of games. My fps is fine on its own but it's the stuttering that is so aggravating. Got me killed more times than my own mistakes lol
@@voxploxx I am a PC player, i played exclusively keyboard and mouse for the first 28 years of my life, until 3 years ago when i got a PS4pro to play Bloodborne because i finished Dark souls 1-3 and Sekiro all on PC with key+mouse, and i was thirsting from more Fromsoft games. I think it took me quite literally 2 days to get used to a controller and i was already playing these games better than i ever did on Key+Mouse, it's just not comparable, the flow and precision is just different, sucks for aiming ranged weapons, but everything else is played better on the controller in Soulslikes.
The main factor I kept getting my ass kicked so much in this game is the weight. When I got it down in the green I was doing much better. Especially against bosses where dodging was important..
I didn't even hear of this i just found out of it today ill be getting this being a combo of nioh and sekiro which nioh is the hardest souls game ever and faster and then sekiro has that cool counter regain health gameplay
Max morale to 25 or 20. Power of the Jade Y+B game doesn't to tell you until MUCH later, which helps vs 1st boss second form. Instead of dying 20 times vs that dude in part due to my impatience IF I had known that I'd have beaten that Boss like on my 3-5 tries...
Uhh they tell you about Morale in the first couple text prompts. If the enemy's morale, even the goons, are higher compared to yours, they get a boost.
Good video and good advice, but I have some reserves about number 9. The problem with holding block while sneaking behind your opponent is that it slows your character down to a crawl. Good enough for stationary enemies but there's situations where this isn't gonna be viable (especially if someone wants to play a pure water build). Frankly, the best way to stealth is to learn where the sweet spot is on the controller (it's honestly not that difficult). That, plus alacrity haste (and idealy unseeable form but it's not even required, most of the time) and you can get a critical hit on basically every none-boss enemies in the game.
***PLEASE HELP*** Soi didn't quite understand the embedding system at first and now that I do I'm only on part 4 and I already can't embed bc it cost 26k to 46k jewels for embedding. Does anyone kw of a way around this other then having to literally go and farm and salvage and repeat. Bc I been doing that and it barely is putting a dent in it.
So the mistake I made was I got all the way to chapter 5 with out realizing that there is deflect punish! If you hold L1 then press O (ps5) to deflect your character will kept Closer to the target and do and little spin kick. I was just pressing O to deflect and a direction or holding guard and pressing O to deflect lmao!! Btw if you read this and it’s confusing just know that I switched my L1 and my R1 buttons. R1 is block for me and L1 is my martial arts button
What the hell why doesn't salvage get their traits and you collect them?? Why do we have to go through ALL items 1 by 1, this is beyond stupid and tedeious
I found him the hardest boss so far and I'm at the start of chapter 4 now. If I was to give any advice it would be not to attack him, instead run away, block, and deflect until he does a red attack, and then deflect it. The fight ends early so it's not as bad as it looks.
@@charliechigi I didn't use any spells but if I was to recommend any it would be unstoppable force, enhanced defense, and cloud stance. Unstoppable force and cloud stance help maintain spirit for blocking, and enhanced defense gives reduced damage taken. You have to be close enough for him to do a red attack, but ideally out of normal melee range.
Ahhh wtf second advice is totally bad, salvaging gives you the perk you don't need to unembbed every single perk only red tabbed ones which show up on the right under jewels, the rest are unlimited
also if you hold RT(or RB i cant remember which) and press circle it does an attack into your off weapon if thats what you mean and automatically switches to it.
@@snuffkinzz sorry. I should have mentioned my frames drop causing it to fail on me. My comment was reasonless. My b. The 2nd stage of the first boss. Any attack he does causes my frames to drop bad.
@@TheTrickyTwix its set by default performance mode. It already is in that mode. Honestly. I even switched it to fidelity mode and it changed nothing. I personally think the modes arent real.
This game is horribly outdated. It's a easy Nintendo switch looking game but absolute pathetic standards on next gen, unstable frames and god awful graphics with such a linear path structure and god awful world textures. Team ninja are just bleeding the very last out of there crap engine.
Just make sure whoever you are fighting, you have equal or higher moral level then him then you should be fine. The game sometimes puts mobs of significantly higher morale level in you path, there will be alternative path you can choose with normal morale levels.
