This skindiver made by Wolbrook really impressed me right from the beginning. In my opinion one of the best offerings out there in the sub 500 USD/EUR competition. What do you think?
Lovely watch excellent action bezel and more useful countdown type. Green perfect best box double dome saphire crystal. Could be even better using high beat 9039 and not have a ghost date position however nice to have 8315 power reserve of 60 hours. Keeps good time and like that aluminium bezel is lumed only on pip/ triangle great watch
it seems the numbers on the bezel are opposite their "usual" configuration, making it a countdown timer rather than a count up? btw love the channel name
One thing you mentioned in your review is slightly confusing--from Wolbrook's website: "In-house modifications and operations: Disassembly of the date disk to make the movement "No date""
@@watchyouwant1617 Well, I would contact Wolbrook directly about this issue. The discrepancy doesn't reflect very well on the brand's integrity, particularly if the removal of the date mechanism factors into pricing.
@@jayeyesacks1604 I thought it was clear(ish) what they were saying. They are removing the date wheel in the mechanism but cannot remove the ghost position. Means that in the date adjust position the crown will not click but will free-wheel. Can anyone confirm? I am really liking the watch and might pull the trigger soon.
@@rsaha999 I've moved on from this piece, as the Automatic Skindiver Ii model offers a 9015 movement with the date function intact, which is a better option. The stopper with the new model is price, which is on the higher side, like everything else in this shit post-COVID economy.
