Wolf Tales: The Wonderful World Of Wolfwalkers 

I fell in love with this movie from the first moment especially more when I heard "running with the wolves"

It is very important to say the word “Wolfwalkers” with an Irish accent

It’s sad to see really good movies that are high quality, just go down the road of forgotten, because when I first saw the trailer, I’m like “WHERE DO I WACTH THIS!”

I really enjoyed Wolfwalkers, it was a very interesting to see magical beings that are similar to werewolves in a different light, in fact this movie really tackled the old saying "Walk a mile in my shoes" because you know once Robyn and her father knew what it was like to be wolves, they both learned a lesson and gained a new perspective on things...in fact i'm amazed at how well Robyn and her father had embraced their identities as Wolfwalkers despite knowing it lasts for life.

There is actually Wolf Children which isn’t bad either. It focuses on of course the wolf children and how they grow up with a normal mother who has to learn how to take care of them without their father who was part wolf part human. But I did watch Wolfwalkers and I was actually waiting so long to see it. I kept seeing commercials and scenes but Apple TV finally put it out and I stayed up late to watch it!!!! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺

I feel you SO hard when it comes to wolf content. My bestie and I are both wolf people (in high school is when we were hit the hardest with our love for wolves) and were starved for good wolf content. We saw that Alpha and Omega was coming to theaters and it was a massive disappointment. Wolfwalkers brought out this old feeling inside me that I thought I lost back when I was in high school. I'll be showing my friend Wolfwalkers this week and I can't wait for her reaction to it 💖

I swear, when they played "Running with the wolfs", it was the first time I ever cried because of a beautiful animation.

Honestly, I like the ending because of its show found found family. Don’t get me wrong, romance is nice and all. However, I like how the movie show different kinds of love like familia.

But seriously since Wolfwalkers can be viewed as an alternate version of Werewolves, we also have the best werewolf movie of the 2010s. But I kid. This movie is gonna raise the amount of wolf OCs by tenfold.

Another thing that I really liked is how the parent-child relationship is portrayed with Robyn and her father Bill (btw, mad props to Sean Bean for his voice acting). They clearly love one another and know they only have eachother against the whole world (mirroring Mebh and her mother), but this desire to protect her daughter and his fear of the Lord Protector leads him to (as the video said) "put Robyn's best interest at heart", arguably harming her even more than if the Lord Protector himself had punished her. It's only after realizing what he had done and (like Robyn) liberating himself from his constraints and fears that he can ammend his relationship with his daughter by letting her be free. I have some minor nitpicks here and there, but overall I loved the characters, the story, the incredible animation (Robyn changing between the sleek and polished "urban" design and the more disheveled and unfinished "forest" look depending of the situation was especially cool)... Yeah, Wolfwalkers definitely is the best movie of Europe's Ghibli. [SPOILERS] Also, as a fan of alternate history, I loved how at the end the writers killed Cromwell mid-way through the Parliamentarian conquest of Ireland. Which also makes me question, assuming the Celtic trilogy happens in the same timeline, just what kind of world does "Song of the Sea" takes place in.

Too bad Cartoon Saloon movies never get advertised well in the United States. :( (Wolfwalkers being on only on Apple TV doesn’t help.)

This movie invokes an instinct long since forgotten. I feel like this movie really gets ya howling like no ones business.

I convinced my teacher to watch wolfwalkers in class, and one of my classmates just kept going on and on about how much he hated the movie and saying he would rather die than continue watching it. It's been 5 days and still don't get why he hates it so much

I really loved the ending, because father and Robin stayed in wolf pack, usually in movies main characters wont do that, but they did! Im so happy with this movie, gonna recommend to my friends!

I have read an interview with one of the producers that he talk that was not their intention to make Robyn x Medb sounds like a relationship but that they are happy if looks like that is a good thing :3 not exactly what we wanted to read but good as well xD

I just watched Wolfwalkers right before watching this I enjoyed the movie a lot.

Alpha and Omega isn't the only decent quality Wolf related content, there's also the Balto franchise i mean sure the Balto trilogy is a leftover from the 90's but still.

This was honestly one, if not the, best movie of 2020. Put aside the animation since, like everything Cartoon Saloon produces, is absolutely gorgeous to see in motion, Wolfwalkers is honestly something truly amazing. I care a lot for the characters, the story imo was well-written, and everything about it is a beautiful love letter to the history behind Ireland. Actually, the main villain reminded me of Disney's Pocahontas' main villain, but done better in every single way. I'm hoping this movie comes out on DVD/Blu-ray, if possible. I would scoop that up immediately! So thanks for giving this movie more recognition!

Howls* Hello I think WolfWalkers is FAR TO UNDERRATED!!

I seen the trailer on T.V and I IMMEDIATELY thought "yes. Thats something I wanna watch" I have been obsessed with cats and wolves and even animation. That animation hypnotized me. I became obsessed with it within a night. And I will get my paws on it and watch it for days. I love it. It's good.

The creator of the movie did say that they never intended for Mebh and Robyn to be romantically involved but when fans decided to see them as such he said it was a happy accident and is more then welcome to have people view them as a couple or simply as friends. Open for interpretation basically. I personally see them as having a sisterly vibes, it’s something that nowadays we don’t get a lot of, that actually feels genuine and real. It reminds me a lot of my own relationship with my older sister. But I get why people would ship them. I may not ship them but I respect those who do

I wish more studios would make movies that don't depict wolves as murderous beasts..

I still see them as a step Sisters, but lets be honest, the only one who knows the truth about their future are producers themselves, They are history makers, (dont mind ship though cause art is good).

Having been an avid wolf worshipper, since I was a pup, this movie had my heart howling and my inner wolf bounding with joy. I agree about the low quality wolf movies and content out there, so Wolfwalkers was an amazing gift. Their strong family values are just absolutely heartwarming. 9:43 not gonna lie. Every one of those scenes made it seem more like sisterly love to me. 😅 guess every wolf has their own opinion.

The first alpha and omega was really good though. The other movies in the series was trashed. I'm sad they didn't put enough attention and care into it anymore. The rest of the movies made it worse. They should have made another movie similar to the first one with the same quality. No pups either, they ruined it too.

I got to see wolf walkers and you know what? I enjoyed the story and was so happy to see parent figures not die. I was so scared the dad would die and I enjoyed him cause he wasn't a awful father. He cared for Robyn and did what he thought was best scared of leaving her alone. Though there were some parts I didnt agree with him being scared of being split up from his only family left was very fair. So thanyou wolfwalkers for not pulling a oh yeah goodbye parents it made me so happy to see and the story was just wonderful. And seeing 2d animation again was so good and refreshing.

Am I the only one in this comment section that (after watching it just now) is sobbing because I’ve never connected with a movie more like Wolf Walkers? Because goddamn this is THE MOST amazing (most recent) 2D animated movie I’ve ever seen. I will never forget this movie. It’s absolutely astonishing and for anyone who likes wolf stories or anything like that, I absolutely recommend. It’s a 1mil/10 from me.💕💕💕

I watched the movie over 10 times in Spanish and also in English [I love the accent] and everything is just beautiful. Despite the story being a little oversimplified, it manages very well to stay fresh all the time. Oh and that scene from the end when the last song starts playing before the credits... it's GOLD. Also, I don't really see anything lesbian from Robyn and Mebh. While it is implied even when looking at the trailer, I see it more like just sisterhood. But maybe I see it that way because I watch videos from the Wolf Conservation Center on a daily basis. I definitely recommend Wolfwalkers, there's a lot of stuff going on and it is a clear proof that traditional 2D animation should never be left behind.

I hope this movie will get a DVD/Blu-Ray release, in the future. After watching this online a few days back, I fell in love with it

Wolfwalkers with the animation, the quality, the music, the story, and basically everything are so amazing and the best masterpiece I've ever seen so far!

I also love how in the movie they say "Mo Chara" which you probably guessed that it means "my friend".

I've stuck with Cartoon Saloon since its very first movies.. I grew up with the Secret of Kells, it's my favorite movie and I'd watch it year round. Song of the Sea was brilliant too, and when I heard Wolfwalkers was coming out I couldn't believe my eyes. I knew it was gonna be amazing and I cannot express how happy it makes me that the internet is finally starting to notice Cartoon Saloon and their amazing movies. I strongly encourage those who have seen Wolfwalkers to see their other movies too, they are astonishing and you'll likely enjoy them, and the art is so stylized and different from the rest of animation media.

I personally don't ship the 2 but I get an appeal.

I hope Cartoon Saloon soon knows a "NieR" like phenomenon, being unknown for a time and suddenly being the next "hype" thing by many! Sorry for my bad english im french

My art teacher in 11th grade showed us The Secret of Kels and i absolutely fell in love with the art style and the studio who made it. When i was an art intern in 12th grade, i begged her to play it again, which she did. When i saw this trailer a couple of months ago for Wolf Walker i knew instantly who the studio was!!!

I purchased it when it came out on AppleTV and honestly it’s so good! I’ve watched it like 4 times since it’s truly amazing! The character development is incredible and I love how when we first meet robin her line art it all neat and tidy but after she meets Mave you can see her line art become more like hers and sketchy as she becomes to feel more and more happy and free through the freedom she feels being a wolf and loosening up in a way becoming more and more comeforable with herself and the pack. The movie is just incredible all together and I hope more people see it it’s truly incredible!

This is probably one of the best reviews I've seen for this movie so far. Everything was spot on! One of the things I especially appreciate is how everyone can appreciate it for what it is. I'm not personally into OCs or the fandom as a whole, yet this movie got me listening to 'Running with the Wolves' almost every week. I showed the movie to my mother in her mid 50s and every time the Lord Protector came on screen I always found her shaking her head in disbelief and disgust at his actions. If you wanna know all of the behind the scenes stuff with the cast and crew, as well as seeing the wondrous concept art I suggest buying "The Art of WolfWalkers" which is about $30 on Amazon and has over 200 pages.

This movie is absolutely beautiful. As a wolf lover, it didn't fail to amaze me. I fell in love with it when I first saw it.

I remember eating dinner and watching tv, and the trailer of Wolfwalkers came on. I was so INVESTED, I was glued. Then, when the "Apple TV+ Original" logo came on, all happiness drained. Like, I don't know what kind of witch magic they were aiming to use, but it was like 😁 to 😭 I ended up using a thirty day trial to see it. I loved it, best hour and thirty eight minutes of my entire life. I love the entire thing. Good movie, yall need to see it right now!

Dear Silver Starling's Den, Sometime ago, I once commented on this video saying Im a new Subscriber and hope to watch Wolf Walkers when the chance came. Well, I myself had to once subscribed again because the recent channel was erased, sorry. And after waiting 3 years, I have finally watch Wolf Walkers. And I can say its be gonna be a long while before I watching any thing else, for I cant get enough of this. And despite this current years troubles of pollution, litter, terrible news on the web, wars, and more. Its important for me and others, to help stay positive and optimistic, because if we just focus on the terrible things alone, and admit defeat thens whats the point of doing or trying to help make things right. And yea, its hard to be positive and optimistic, but like with the great depression, world wars, their impact is strong and heavy at their youth, but life goes on, and eventually those effects from that impact are lost. Because life goes on, and with every night must comes a new day, and thats what helps us all keep going. That there is still good in this world and its worth fighting for. And truth be told, I dunno hows the channel doing whether its going good or bad, I can only wish you and your team this: "May good fortune smile upon your doings forevermore." This doesn't apply as much to reviewing the movie (or the graphic novel, if you can't get your hands on the right streaming services), the fan community is awesome! As you might guess from any movie or book even partially successful, there's a fanbase that makes original characters within the existing world and roleplays with them. Or they come up with other ideas to expand the worldbuilding, such as "What if there were *insert different animal*walkers too?", which they share together in their (kind of) small niche corner of the world.

I got an iPad, and it came with a year of free Apple TV, and I can’t believe how lucky that was. I discovered this movie right around when I got my iPad, so, a really lucky coincidence!

I’m two weeks late but I have a good reason XD. I’ve seen the trailer for Wolfwalkers and I was unable to watch it at all, BUT I thankfully got the graphic novel for Christmas and geezers! I loved it! I hope to watch the movie soon! Excellent review, keep up the good work!

btw spoilers if you haven't seen it ok so - I just noticed it but the town scenes and people are drawn in a much more clean and polished style, compared to the sketchy style used for mabh (I think that's how her name is spelled) and the wolves, which often showed parts of the first sketch and overlapping lines. after robyn got bitten, she was drawn in the sketchy style but when she came back in the town (and worked at the house maids thingy) she was drawn in the clean style agian. same thing happened with her father - he was drawn in the clean style until he turned into a wolf to protect Robyn. I think it's really cool how they changed the styles with the situations the characters were currently in

thing is, wolves are SCAREY, they are huge creatures, they hunt in packs and are impossible to get away from if you are being hunted. a good wolf movie i recoment is 'Wolf children' its one of my favourite movies EVER

I love that studio, Wolfwalkers is definitely one of my favorites
