Is that common? Why did she only get six years for killing that man? The judge said there wasn’t even proof of her intentions? She chased him down across traffic, going over 90, to only hit him on his motorcycle.. it doesn’t make sense
If she isn't that person, maybe hard labor and a stint in the mental hospital will help! No no! We can't give people hard labor cause they are the victims! Daddy issues or substance abuse! I don't see how TV, education and courtyard time is rehabilitation!
Disgusting. Back in 2015 a guy in Denver received a 160 yr sentence for a car chase. There was a baby in one of the cars he stole, but he didn't kill anyone. This sick person chases down a man and murders him and she only gets 6 YEARS?!!!! We have some really stupid judges. I hope karma catches up to her.
6 years = 3 years with good behavior. Absolutely wrong on every level. Shame on the justice system for for not serving justice especially for someone who fought for this sick country!!!
Ya ignore the fools in here with huge chips on their shoulders, there simply wasn’t evidence that it was intentional. People chase each other all the time during road rage incidents and most don’t end in death and both eventually go their separate ways. I very much doubt she was trying to kill him.
HIS FAMILY COULDN'T EVEN ID HIM, IT'S JUST SICKENING THAT SHE WAS ONLY GIVEN 6 APPALLING YEARS & SHE WON'T EVEN SERVE THAT. I JUST CAN'T FATHOM HOW THE JUDGE REACHED THAT DECISION. SURELY, IT'S NOT THE MAXIMUM BY LAW?
The court system doesn't want women serving long sentences.......we can't keep consumer spending mindset ppl in prison its bad for business....but the ppl known for investing money.... when THEY mess up, that's different Open your eyes.....get out the matrix........
She wasn't charged for hitting her kids, cutting people in line, being a horrendous coworker, not tipping, spreading lies and gossip, having screaming fits, giving dirty looks to other races, always wanting her way, the other road rage instances that didn't end in a death. You don't do all of this and then one day run someone over. It's not an isolated event.
In Denmark the punishment are less than. 4 months, but in severe cases, up to 8 years. Never heard about anyone getting that. Danish judges are either corrupt, stupid or big softies on criminals.
She has the nerve to cry for getting 6 years after you murdered someone. People get more time for an ounce of weed. The injustice system is really working overtime.
@@edgarjacc796 so your logic in life: if they know more, they’re always right. So that means you stand behind judges who sentence pedophiles to only probation after they rape children. I’m not here for your validation, but thanks for showing the world how ignorant you are.
You'd think After such a chase down It would be considered "freakin' Voluntary therefore MURDER! Idiot judges sometimes! They sound voluntarily STUPID!
@norcalandrew Thats gotta be proven. When they cannot prove she did it intentionally and she denies it, case fails. So she get 6 years for manslaughter. So if we were to say she did it intentionally and it cannot be proven in court, what then? Should the court then "believe" someting that we think is likely? No, we can believe stuff, but court needs evidence. Police fault then. They shoulda done a better job and brought evidence to the court. Thats the police officers job.
Wow she was driving 90+ mph. Putting everyone at risk just to murder someone. That must been painful to do die like that. I hope it was quick for him. She definitely deserves more time and sad thing is this was uploaded about 6 years ago. She is probably out by now. This is why I have a hard time trusting the justice system
@@chrisb7198 I see you are somebody with intellectual limitations, so I'll clarify it to you. I'm just putting the whole thing into perspective and saying that I defend the lesser sentence she got.
@@Brandespada Nowhere does your original post say anything like that go and read what you wrote. You may have the "intellectual limitations" you are so ready to label me with. Brandespada 2 months ago Well, the officer had started the whole road rage by kicking the passenger side door of her car and speeding away. No mention at all about the sentence she got. In fact it reads like you are trying to place blame on him.
@Grey Goose I value my own life. If you take that away from somebody then you're taking away everything kinda. Id call that significant. If someone killed you would that matter to you forever after that?
Yeah she should've gotten more but she still has to be in prison for 6 years do you know how long that is? I would be crying even if I had to do 1 year fr prison is scary
Her defense for the chase was valid enough since the motorcyclist kicked a massive dent in her car and rode off and she chased him to get his license plate info clearly
To me that’s egotistic thug behaviour from a supposed national hero and military leader to be causing thousands of dollars in property damage then riding off. Should he have died or gotten injured? 10000% NO. But chase does not equal intent to kill
The sentence was the average sentence for voluntary manslaughter. You need to look at the whole scene to understand why a plea bargain was offered. Witnesses (not Darla Jackson) testified that there was an exchange between the two of them (not just her getting mad and running him down). Same witnesses testified that he kicked the side of her car and mirror, causing damage, and then sped off. She pursued him. Her claim being that she WAS angry, but she did not want him to get away, without getting his insurance information to pay for her damages. She chased him, got too close, and the collision happened. I am pretty skeptical about this motivation (trying to get his insurance). I would guess that he kicked the side of her car and it enraged her and she went after him. Regardless, it gave here a plausible out, and they didn't want to see her walk on this, so they offered her a plea bargain (voluntary manslaughter as opposed to some variation of murder), she took it, and got the average sentence.
@Mike Tiger Do you know what happened before he kicked her car? Did she cut him off and made him almost fall down? Or was he the aggressor? Do you know all this? Were you in he car?
There's criteria that needs to be met for murder, and this wasn't it. It's not the judge's fault, it's the way the law is written. Her sentence isn't all that light for a road rage crime. If you don't like it, then run for Congress and change the law.
The back story is that he kicked her car and then sped off. A witness in the trial confirmed this exchange. The defense claimed that she sped after him to get his license plate information. So it's not that cut and dry of a case.
@@Exxtol1 It actually IS that cut and dry.... someone kicks your car and your entitled to wrecklessly Chase them - putting others at risk - at 80 mph? Kinda simple when you think about it.....
@@salman-804 so what are the charges then genius? Its more than coughing lmfao u better go watch again the main and biggest charge starts with a R and ends with a y. U dipshit 😂✌
@@Canuck_Retro_Gaming I don't know if gender discrimination is necessarily the issue. I guess what I'm upset about is that a sober person could get six years for killing another human being. I don't really even give a shit about her reaaction either, I'm just amazed that the court would let someone off so easy for what seems like a deliberate attempt to cause harm.
I encountered a clown in Louisiana who killed 2 people in a DUI crash who whined because he got 3 years of prison and 3 of probation!!!! He killed TWO PEOPLE! 3 YEARS PER LIFE!!!!!!!!! WTF??????
@@chrisbattaglia1436 Read comment above. I’d just hang them all regardless but some places don’t have strict and harsh enough laws period, regardless of gender.
Life sentence hell, why should she live have contact with family and friends. His family visits will be to a cold piece of land to look at a tombstone, that's where her family should be visiting her.
you chase someone down and killed him. 6 years in prison.... wtf Why she crying? That's a good deal. You deprived a man of at lest 55 years, while you just get to be uncomfortable for 6 years..... this isn't justice
Mr Corky accident? She was tail gating him the whole time when she didn’t need to provoke the rage to go any further, she obviously could have a avoided this and kept his life but instead she didn’t, she definitely deserves more than this
For some reason killing someone using a motor vehicle gets a shorter sentence than doing so using a firearm. She also put other road users at risk that day.
The man who deliberately drove into my cousin's car, killing her two infant daughters, got a piddling little fine. Sometimes justice just isn't metered out fairly.
@CornishRicky she can just move to a different area of California or the US and start over again. 6 years for chasing someone across 4 freeways and striking them at over 80 miles per hour. All of this over a passenger side mirror. $100 piece of equipment is worth a man's life. The judge also needs to be removed from the bench.
@@jen9774 that is so heartbreaking… we had a family friend who was murdered during his job as a gas station cashier by a robber. the police never found the guy, I doubt they really even tried to find the killer.
6 years in prison for running over a marine man? White privilege, female privilege. If it was a cop she woukd have gotten more time. All of you military people, Americs values cops more than your lives.
@@lior995 You can't prove it was an intentional crime though. For all you know, she chased him to force him to stop so she could get out and scream at him
What am I not getting? Darla Jackson willfully and deliberately chased him down at a reckless high rate of speed, and could have caused an accident with other motorists. Upon reaching him she actually hit him and killed him. So why is this lunatic sobbing because she only got a DESPICABLE 6 years in prison ? And even worse is if she eligible for early release and then on parole. This creature should have gotten life in prison or a minimum of 50 years for this. What the heck else is this judge needing ? He should have his head examined or be removed from the bench. This is one reason why criminals often laugh about their crimes when being sentenced- because for many the punishment is not hard and long enough. This is completely awful !!
EXACTLY. BULLS. 👀 THAT. PIECE. OF. 💩 SHOULD. OF. GOTTEN. WAY. MORE. THAN. SIX. YEARS. IN. PRISON. 93. MPH. SHE. DESERVES. A. LOT. MORE. TIME. IN. PRISON. LIKE. A. LIFE. SENTENCE. !!
...there wasn't enough evidence to prove it was intentional... I bet if the chief had a relative that was a judge there would be enough evidence. That judge should be removed and lose his law license. Justice is blind, not stupid!
@@eddarby469 Many of these court cases are fucking retarded as shit. He booted the side of her vehicle and took off but you shouldn't be speeding excessively at 95+mph i think that is 25mph over the limit
6 years? What is wrong with that judge? 6 years for a lost life? Hopefully she gets a little something more in prison. Maybe she’s have a fit of rage there that will actually land her serious time. This is disgusting.
My nephew spent 8 years in a Florida prison for having "drugs" (marijuana) on him bc he was in the proximity of a school that he knew nothing about and bitch runs down a soldier, murders him, and gets 6 years. Yeah that sounds about right!🙄
*IT WAS INTENTIONAL !!!* She intended to kill that young man, it is a great loss to the family and his country. It cost a lot of time and a lot money to train a navy officer. *IT WAS INTENTIONAL !!!*
Precisely! If deliberately chasing someone along the highway and then deliberately ramming them isn't premeditated, I don't know what is. Her flying into an idiotic rage wasn't premeditated, but by the time she ran him down it had become premeditated. She should have gotten 60 years, not 6, for first-degree murder.
That's not what he said. Rather he stated there wasn't enough evidence to prove the crime was intentional. Meaning he decided evidence was insufficient-not beyond a reasonable doubt-to prove the defendant guilty to the fullest extent of the penalties on all charges. So, guilt couldn't be proven to such a degree that her ultimate intent was to murder the victim. Obviously there was intent, it existed of course - but to what degree and for what purpose specifically? That's what it comes down to, at the sentencing hearing.
@@E4Sierra Without question almost any outcome in a court of law rests squarely on the discretion of the judge. This particular case was NOT the exception. She was charged, convicted, and sentenced of the crime in question; so we get to sentencing. Here's were most rational people restle with a 6 year extent given under 'intent' or lack there of.
That judge needs to be evaluated. You hit someone at 96 miles an hour and the judge couldnt say it was intentional or not 😦. Bro at a minimum it should've been 15
Womans normally get it ezz, just a few weeks ago a drunk woman that killed another womans just married husband and her unborn baby got 12, and dont forget that they normally get release in 1/4 of the time due to clemency
I think if that happened over here in the uk, I’m pretty sure she would got more as we calculated the speed over the speed limits, the cost of life, the road rage offence will be added, she would have a lot more that that. And now the government just passed a law if a nurse, police constable, EMT or military will get life
@@jonnyhqwest8506 she murdered him huh? did you read what happened? it was a douche bag on a motorcycle who kicked her car and pulled out in front of her and slowed down. she was tailgating him and got too close. play stupid games wins stupid prizes.
True. Wouldn't have been "voluntary manslaughter" that's for sure. Would have likely been 2nd degree murder - "killing either be intentional or reckless, and occur in the spur of the moment"
Stillman In Motion it’s literally been statistically proven that African Americans get sentenced to 20-30% longer sentences compared to other ethnicities for the same crimes. Just because you don’t hear about it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, man.
The fact that she only got 6 years in prison is so unfair. She should have gotten life without parole. So disgusting! I'm betting her life is going to be so difficult once she gets released because she'll have a tough time finding a job because it will be on her record. I'm very worried for anyone who may get in contact with her in 2023 because that's when she gets out of prison.
Only in America my friends, dogs are more valuable than human there. good luck with that. similar incident happened in the middle east 6 years ago, rich biker got run over by road rage, the family of the victim have 3 options to choose from first get the murderer to get killed, pay ransom or give him his freedom or set him freel now it passed 6 years since it happened, they are waiting one of the victims family to be adult so they also include him to choose between the three options. I hope they get him killed, a car is not a toy, everyone knows that
+The Tribulation With all due respect, how does this case prove that white men are demonized? There's no mention of race in the story, or hatred for the dead dude.
People have received sentences of 10-14 years for simple possession of pot and she gets 6 years-probably 3 for4 good behaviour- for killing an innocent person.
dbsill cockney He simply stated that he believes she was only remorseful over the fact that she has to go to prison. I'm not sure why you found the comment so confusing. It was pretty simple for me to understand.
They charged her with "manslaughter" which is legally defined as being accidentally responsible. As if her chasing down someone going 90 mph was just an oopsie.
@Imariuz adequate provocation would be him posing an ordinary physical threat (threat of minor to moderate bodily harm.) She was in no danger of any kind of bodily harm in this exchange.
@Imariuz Voluntary Manslaughter is intentionally harming someone which leads to their death. 2nd degree is almost impossible to prove here as they're is no way to prove she wanted to kill him instead of saying she just wanted to harm in a fit of rage but he ended up dying.
@@deepsleep7822 her intention could be different if he was alive . But she savagely killed him already . And even his own family couldnt recognise him. What more do you want to say idiot
They didn't pay the judge anything. It's California. The judge gave her what he could. Society is lucky she didn't get probation -- which is more often the case in vehicular homicide cases here.
She's crying over 6 years like it was a life sentence which in this case might actually be fair. Really, she should be grateful that she got off so easy for taking a life.
If I was the family I’d take out that b*tch myself the moment she’s out of prison, especially for not even apologizing in court and only trying to make herself look like the victim here. Oh you wanna be a victim, girl? Yeah I’ll make you one. She MURDERED him
