The dog is in a brand new environment, of course they're going to be anxious. Sheesh, you have to give your new pet a chance to get use to its new home!! I foster cats and sometimes it takes a month or more for them to feel totally comfortable!
I also rescue, rehome, train. Some cats and dogs take months, even a year.I take in hospice feral cats when so bad they can no longer stay in their colonies (go blind, deaf, cancer tumors that interfere with eating, etc) - i NEVER use cages or crates.Despite this, some never come around. The cats aren't adoptable so I keep them until the end and have had to keep many dogs for life due to previous abuse and going back and forth from one place to another from both rescues and breeders. Dogs need time to decompress. after going in a new home. The ones already emotionally messed up or not very trusting anymore get 100x worse with every move.
Agreed, i feed the strays that come around my parents house and two have them have finally gotten comfortable enough to get close to me; took about a year of constant feeding and cooing at them to get them used to me 🥰🥰
@@sunnystormy4973 I have kitties as well. I lost everything when my ex husband and I divorced years ago, except the cats, I kept my cats. I would have done anything to keep them. 😺
@@sunnystormy4973 I love my fur kids there are plenty of humans on this planet already! When I separated with my ex husband and then we got divorced years and years ago now I pretty much lost everything, except my cats! I would have fought in every court in the country (I'm from the UK) for them. So as you can imagine I really love Taylor Swift's song Karma! 😹😹
I used to volunteer at an animal shelter. And I often tell potential adopters to be aware of personality/mood changes in their cat or dog, because they're going from a stressful, unknown environment to another unknown environment, and to give the cat or dog some time to acclimate.
She gave the dog less than 2 days to let the dog decompress. She has no idea what owning a dog entails. She even said, "It wasn't eating, it wasn't drinking, it was VERY TINY". What should she do?!? Give the dog a chance to acclimate itself. Insane.
I knew a guy that was psychotic and his dog was psychotic, I know a guy that is very friendly and even tempered, his dog is a sweet friendly dog, dogs reflect their owners personality.
The way the defendant looked at the plaintiff like, "you poor thing" is so funny to me. 2:34, and not in a condescending way. She seems like a lovely lady
I adopted two cats almost 7 years ago. One of them was scared of EVERYTHING. Still is at times. He got a uti within a couple of weeks of him being with us because he would hide in the closet all the time and barely ate or drank. We took him to the vet and got it under control. This lady waited not even A DAY to say the dog was anxious... 🙃 Ma'am. If you put a PERSON in a new environment they might be anxious the first day! I would say give it a couple of weeks before you say the dog isn't going to work. Smh!
I'm 32 I didnt know anything about dogs but I'm rescued one and I freaked out completely because she did not eat for 2 days and she was pissing everywhere but I didn't think not one time to take her back 🙄 she is older as well but I did some research online and then found her a vet and it is completely normal for dogs not to eat or to be completely stressed when they are rehomed and you you have to give them love
Are we just going to ignore the fact that audience member lady with the blonde hair @1:24 shook her head so much and the blonde lady behind her was trying to exchange looks with someone who clocked it to laugh at her?
The Plaintiff should have planned better. Taking the dog at such an inconvenient time wasn't good. Didn't she stop and think how she was going to settle her new pet into her home 🤨
I’m surprised Judy didn’t tell the audience member behind the plaintiff to knock it off with the head nodding and distracting facial movements. So annoying.
My sister bought her first dog and it was like this anxious and wouldn't eat on the first day but my sister was patient. After 3 days the dog was eating and getting comfortable with her and now he goes with her everywhere in her purse 😂
Plaintiff shouldn’t have any animals, not even a goldfish! Who buys a dog then decides I’m overwhelmed, I want to return dog , oh by the way can I have it back after the holidays!
Some people wouldnt take the dog back or refund but the lady loved dogs and didnt want the lady to keep the dog if she wouldnt love it after only one day wanting to get rid of it. A real dog lover who wanted the dog to go to a good, loving home. I found a stray that attacked my dog but gave it a home kept separate & went through PAWS in canada where i interviewed families that owned homes, not apartments & found a great family with kids who already found natural raw healthy dog food to feed it so i took the stray for a visit and they clicked. I visited and it was a perfect fit. They sent me xmas cards with his paw print, their cat paw print & their bird foot print lol. We screen people at our humane society. So dogs dont end up in cramped apartments, with people who cant afford them or vet visits and dont hoard animals.
Teacups are obtained by breeding the runt of one litter with the runt of another litter. You end up with the weakest of weak dogs. I don't understand why people do this.
The fact that the lady didnt know how to take care of the dog or get fluids into it proves she shouldnt have any pet. A simple eyedropper to keep it from becoming dehydrated would suffice. But it wont die after 1 day. It was scared of her for some reason. She looks mean. Dogs sense that even if she didnt yell at it. Does she yell at others in the home? Its obvious that home wasnt good for the doggy and she was not a good owner for it. Her face shows that shes been an angry person by its specific lines, no smile lines
I don’t understand people. It’s like she went out and something from the store than a hours later changed her mind. This a living breathing animal. Of course he or she is going to be anxious and scared in a new environment but after time they will calm down.
Of course, a dog is going to be anxious in it's new environment, just like humans are when they start a new job or switch schools. Wtf did you expect lady?
In a way the buyer is right as the dog was picking up on all the stress around it. Some dogs can have up to 16K of sensors & can easily pick up on stress from humans they are around. She should never have bought the puppy to begin with
@@nuttybar9 , puppy Definitely should have been seen by a vet as that is what caring Responsible pet owners do. The puppy was still picking up on the stress in the home it was sensing. As Cesar Milan would say it’s Not an animal problem or behavior but the Persons behavior that needs fixing
I run a dog rescue specializing in ex kennel dogs. The dogs RARELY eat sometime for a day ot two. Like taking a kid raised in New York City and putting them on a farm in Iowa. It takes a few days to relax and get used to the new home. I would have not taken her back the dog
Why did she bring a dog that wasn’t the dog in question? My brain says: “she wanted to breed the new dog with the one she bought. Then found out the new dog was too small to be bred” However I don’t know if they dog the plaintiff bought was spayed or not yet… I overthink things often…
