@@Empowering_Femininity24 I'm not to sure to be honest, But I'll say this. We should do our best to not set ourselves up for failure. We should use the right words when we try to convey the right things to do for ourselves and others. Try not to use antagonistic language like "we don't need no man to be happy" which is true on the surface, you shouldn't need a man to be happy or significant other for that matter. I feel a better way to say this is "learn to love yourself and be a strong individual and when the right person comes along be sure their ideals and beliefs align with yours so you can form a healthy foundation for a good relationship to prosper". I have 3 daughters and I would never want them to submit to a man or build their personality around one. I just think both men and women nowadays have become to aggressive against one another and we really need to learn to have conversations again instead of this tribal nature. Let's face it, Men and Women need some form of companionship. Sorry for the long message lol

I have never really dated that much, and I have done a lot of things for myself and by myself. After a while I thought I really want to know what it would be like to have a boyfriend. When I found one I liked I got played which put him as the center just because I was constantly scanning and trying to avoid getting played again so even though it was not an identity issue the game playing made me question my self esteem therefore decentering men really helped me.

Men need women, women don't need men. That's why you rage at us and tell us to go live in the woods when we say that, because it's true

Women are naturally the helpmates of men so it’s pretty much their life purpose to have a man (biologically) which includes having and raising children too. Men don’t have this issue as much because many men throughout history accomplished things alone and women were never a part of their journeys, but it’s absurdly rare to find the same thing with women. Women are naturally boy crazy, far more than men are girl crazy. I think what these women could do is find genuinely good men with good *souls* that aren’t gonna play them so they don’t repeatedly end up in this cycle and this endless pursuit of trying to suppress their inner instincts. But many have already said this and there are rarely any changes. Women today NEED to go to Christ and start pursuing him instead and allow men to take a backseat for a year or 2. This decentering thing stems from bad choices, deep pain, and a gambling mindset. Go to Christ and all things will be added unto you, ladies.

Some of us had kids before we even know how much growing we had left to do. And decentering men doesn't mean abandon the desire for connection. It means find healthy connection that doesn't come at the expense of your soul.

This is about how under patriarchy we all live in a SYSTEM where we are socialized from birth to center men's comforts, convenience, and preferences over our own wellbeing in ALL of society. Not just romantic relationships.
