Excellent walking stick. Very smart including those features. Really well done, I'll be starting one for myself in the coming days/weeks and I hope it turns out half as nice as yours. *not a complaint* The only thing I would change if it were mine is to have hollowed or carved out some kind of "lid" or something to cover that compass. It's super handy as you have it, I just love the look of wood and I wouldn't want the compass showing.
Joe, just go to one of the county fairs, you will find a stick maker, failing that there is a thing called Woodfest, you’ll have to search on line for the next one, due to the current silliness.

@mercury049 Thanks for the kind words! Great idea about a cover or a lid. I was thinking about something like that for my next one, maybe core out the top and have a larger compartment with a threaded lid on top. Hope you post a vid of yours, good luck with it
