With all of the Covid restrictions, Christmas 2020 looked like being a dull affair in the Village of Woodborough near Nottingham - but the residents had other ideas!
Lots of Covid-safe events were organised by the residents for children and adults alike (Woodborough's Christmas Capers), and this virtual Christmas singalong shows just what fun can be had without even leaving home.
Each singer recorded their contributions on a phone or tablet, singing along to a backing track of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" on earphones.
The individual recordings were then synchronised and edited by Michael Dobbs of Woodborough Video, to produce this final heart-warming result. Singers ranged from 4 years old to 80+, with a range of abilities from "we'll let you know" to professional (thanks to Carly Paoli for joining us), and the final result sounds really great! What's more important, everyone had a wonderful time.
