Thanks for the video mate. Just wanted to ask a question about pricing the jobs. Do you charge per hour or fix price? Like changing fan, pumps etc Many thanks
Hi. I usually keep it, to a basic £100 Labor cost + parts, for one component replacement. If it's more components and not too much extra work on top, then add about £30-£40 on top, to keep it reasonable for the Customer 😇
I love your video, very useful information for break down. Beside, Could you explain to us how/ where condensate water is formed inside a combi boiler?
. Condensate starts from the flue. . As the flue is required to be installed, falling back to the boiler, it drains, through the main hx, into the condensate tray or pipe, beneath Or . in some models of boiler's and directly into the condensate tray, from flue, under the main hx, in some other boiler models, . further runs into the condensate trap and out of the white condensate drain pipe Eventually, running into a drain or final drain pipe, If installed correctly 👍
I have one of these and the blue light is not indicating a boiler fault…but boiler seems to struggle to start when I have the thermostat on auto settings, makes Klunk klink banging noises, noticed the pump flashing a lot as well but if I turn it off and put thermostat into continuous mode for both water and heat it starts up…is this an issue with the pump i have a grundfos one… I did drain the system and add some cleaner via header tank which has reduced the banging significantly. Would you know why this is happening?
Sounds like an overheating issue. Maybe due to an intermittent fault on the pump or and faulty diverter valve maybe even a restriction in the system pupework
@@BoilerMend Appreciate the reply, I changed the pump and it’s tripping the boiler lol think I bought a duff pump going to get it swapped for another tomorrow hopefully that will fix issue…
