We are busy with a complete refit on Phoenix, our Maurice Griffiths Eventide 26, built in 1977. We've had her for nearly a decade, and this is her first time out of the water since 2015, so there's a lot of work to be done. When I do remember, I setup a camera to record a time lapse and there were a few days we skipped completely. Right now, the mast, rigging and rails are removed, and most of our time so far has gone into hull inspection and replacing rotten marine ply as well as a couple of supports. We are making sure the job is done properly and admittedly, it's taking longer than expected. I did not edit the footage at all, this a raw dump from the camera, stitched together with ffmpeg on the command line. I added a timestamp at the bottom right, but the font was a bit small. Modified the code, so will be better with the next uploads. We've now replaced about 70% of the damaged wood with fresh wood and epoxy. The main thing that is slowing things down is the hours daylight and dry weather, and also the time it takes for the epoxy to set. My father in law, as well as my sons and their friends and cousin has been helping, so it's a real team effort. Hopefully we will wrap up epoxy work in the next 24 hours so we can start with paint and deck fittings.
