The concentration of an acid solution can be determined by titration with a strong base. First, calculate the number of moles of strong base required to reach the equivalence point of the titration. Then, using the mole ratio from the balanced neutralization equation, convert from moles of strong base to moles of acid. Finally, divide the number of moles of acid by the given volume of the acid solution to find the concentration.

you can just calculate the normality of Ba(OH)2 to be 0.0308 then using (N*V)=(N*V) to solve for HCl Normality by (0.0308*27.4)/20 = 0.042196N which is also the Molarity as Valency equal to 1

If you have something like, Ba(OH)2 + HCl, you can't know the ratio without knowing how much water it produces, which you would need to balance the neutralization reaction. You don't have to, it just helps you get the correct balanced equation

@tejaskulkarni6041
@tejaskulkarni6041 5 лет назад
no, once you find the balanced equation, then you will know what to multiply by. It will differ for each reaction. In this balanced equation, we saw that there were 2 mols of HCl for 1 mol of BaOH, so to find the concentration, we would have to multiply the "shortcut answer" by 2.

1 dm³ is the exactly same quantity as 1 litre, you can just pick any word you want. If you imagine a cube where each side is 1 dm long then you can quickly realise that a box of that size would probably hold about one litre - which it does. As for converting between units in general, search for "dimensional analysis".
