Honestly, i believe it's because of a lot of jobs require people who have a skillset but can intersect that with social media/content creating. Not many people of the older generations adapted to modern technology and advancements, so it makes sense that more younger people are getting hired at 19-20-21. Anyone who is a sports fan (and i mean, a REAL hardcore sports fan) and who is in any journalism program are probably getting hired at sports radio stations or TV networks as interns at 19-20 as well. I coach basketball at a (Canadian) high school. 10 years ago, i didn't even have to worry about teens working. Now, i have to adjust practice schedules according to my players. It's the reality of teenagers nowadays; they all want to work early now.
