And the ALT? Is that a German SOP I Know some airports want XPNDER to be on ALT but most will want you to be on GND or STBY

It is not a standard operations procedure in Germany. According to the G1000 manual an automatic transponder mode is available that sets your transponder to GND on ground and ALT when you become airborne. @@robmancuso7600 AND the speed is not in the green range, while the flaps are already up! It's still in the white range (meaning: flaps should still be used) for quite a while...

I guess it's an uncontrolled airfield in Germany. So there are no clearences.

It's not a tower-controlled airfield. It's the pilot's responsibility here, not that of the "radio" operator.
