I think I was more excited seeing the turmeric harvest than you were, Andrea. Great progress on the house - Happy wife …. Nick. So enjoyed this weeks video. Thanks.
So pleased ur feeling better! So many bugs going about at the moment. Well done with the turmeric Angie, it's so good for u! The house is looking great, its amazing what a lick of paint can do.
Use some of your turmeric and honey, it's a fab remedy for cold/flue. House is looking fantastic now painted and with the roof details and the rest. The flower pot brought even more beauty to the house. The finished things made everything looking wonderful, well done you two🎉 Looking forward to the next video. Get well soon 🤗😊
Thanks guy's, lovely video, all looking good 👍& I was chuckling when Angrea was hitting the tyles, I said to my hubby, she's having a smashing time there 😂, the plant & pot look lovely against the white wall, well done both of you 👍👍 hope you start to feel much better Nick, take care ❤❤❤❤
I came by your YT channel by way of Frankie off grid. I admired your helping hand with these two youngsters making a home in Portugal. Now subscribed to your YT channel and looking forward to your updates 💕 PS I learned a lot about Turmeric from this vid… I’ve had a few attempts at growing it over the years… with varying results! Thank you 👍🏽💕😊
Tumeric is supposed to have many health benefits. Nick, I hope you will get checked out. You sound wheezy and slightly congested. I had a big problem with asthma as a result of a prescription I was taking. It took quite a long time for it in to settle down. I got into lots of trouble with a cold or flu. Never failed. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦
Ginger lemon tea: turmeric 1-2 inches chopped. Ginger1-2 inches sliced thinly. Juice of 1 lemon. Fill with water. Bring to a boil. Turn off heat. Let sit overnight. Strain and pour into a jar. Then drink. 🙂👍🇨🇦
Hiya guys, been following your journey for a few “days” now and it’s amazing how different your farm is now, everything’s looking awesome and at the same time it didn’t lost that Portugueseness that in my opinion makes it look so much better 😊
That was fun watching you transfer the big piggies! I'm worried about Nicks recovery from the flu, and his recent broken rib! Has that stubborn one been to see a doctor and chest exrays? Please take care of you Nick! Andrea seems pretty much healed. I also had Flu A and was in bed for 14 days with the nasty virus , I forget I'm older and need a flu shot😢 that was Dec 19 and I still Jan 19 have been struggling with symptoms of cough etc. People with any underlying lung problems or autoimmune problems (like me with arthritus) should definitely get the flu vaccine, when completely recovered from flu. who knew! And then apparently a yearly vaccine before the spread happens.
Glad you are both feeling better. You two exhaust me with all you get done. Weary of the Praying Mantis in your greenhouse they can bite or pinch whatever they do. This is from experience. Piggies will be happy in their new pen. Job well done.
I seriously have never seen tumeric grown and harvested! In fact i always thought it was called tumeric, but its actually turmeric according to google and Nick! I learn so much from you two❤❤ I also learned that Andrea has a tongue peircing!❤ Nick the turmeric will help your lung inflamation! Andrea is an expert in taking care of you with her natural remedies! Here I would have to grow indoors, and I wonder if ginger would be a good companion plant to grow it with? Im adding this to my winter grow indoor plantings! Both are said to help with inflamation and I'm older arthritic. Thank you dearly for sharing this! A new project for me!
Man from Redruth say's YES tumeric is a remedy for cold and flu, good you put rivets in the trim when summer comes it tends to move, you could make a covered walkway between the box unit and the garage storage area, take care you two.
I adore watching you two check off your to do list! Just started watching the tile end trim, who even knew that was a thing, but first one I see makes a huge difference! At this early point it appears to be hard to work with!
Hi, Ang & Nick 👋🏼🙂 very glad to see you're feeling much better. Wow, Luke and Ham are nearly grown up! Uh... is Wilbur sonewhere with the littler ones? or did he get rehomed to the freezer? Look at you guys, finishing tasks! Congrats on receiving your new storage box, painting that end of your house, putting on the fiddley roofing trim, roasting caterpillars, having your wood & wood trim delivered, harvesting and processing your first turmeric, finishing that corner of dark paving, and planting & situating that decorative tree. 😁👍🏼
Ik denk dat je al het vocht, wat nu onder je dak zit, insluit met deze trimmings.Dat heeft gevolgen voor de toekomst van de materialen. De muren zijn mooi geworden. Jullie varkens zijn erg slim hoor.
Turmeric has so many health benefits and when combined with black pepper it is more easily absorbed by the body…something I have researched 🧐..So many interesting things you are both doing!🙌 Thanks Andrea and Nick
Currently the top two comments are about being excited about the turmeric (I incline towards the rhyme with "fur" for the first syllable, rather than "too" but plenty of people say "t(y)oo" ...) and the pigs getting bigger and fatter, It is all great to watch! Pig wrangling may just edge it for me ... I hope your chestiness clears up soon, Uncle Nick (I wonder how many people caught Andrea's first comment?! Very funny)
Ah, the house is truly benefitting from all those unfinished jobs being tackled. It is looking very good ❤ Great work, you two! I was fascinated with the turmeric harvest, am looking forward to your opinion of the final product and how it compares to the bought variety .
Again another full on week jobs wise. All looking great. You can make turmeric teas and turmeric latte. I drink a turmeric tea from Pukka Teas, bought it at Eden Project along with a Tulsi Tea, both grown at Eden. Lovely they both are. Like you I get a flowery taste especially if I leave the bag in the cup it's gets stronger as you get to the end of the tea. Glad you are both feeling better xx
I’ve watched this week’s video several times trying to reason why it’s noticeably different . The hilarious joking between the two of you is spot on, some could say bickering , but I think it’s the combination of humor and love coming out for our enjoyment . I appreciate your humor throughout your videos, never mind the amount of work you’ve compiled into a one week video. As another viewer said “I don’t know why you need a gym “. What plans do you have for the box ? Needles to say I’ll be watching. I’ve said in past comments , you can subscribe only once , but you can view as many times as you like and that also helps . I think your green house is a definite hit , that is quite a bit of variety of plants , am waiting for the dragon fruit to bloom and fruit. Good health and blessings 💕
I like it fresh and juicy. I finely chop about a tablespoon and mix it in with scrambled eggs. I also use less, about a teaspoon, in cooked oatmeal with brown sugar.
I do some hydrating dehydrating in my air fryer and also my oven basically celery cabbage carrots things like that that I can put in my soups and stews
Olá meu caro senhor Nick e Andrea aqui está um casal que eu adoro. O vidio foi excelente fico feliz com tantos projectos a casa está espantosa o senhor Nick e Andrea sao pessoas tao incriveis. Loved every bit! Especially the Turmeric. I didn't know what it was and appreciate the intro. Ill try and buy a small spice of it. What do you use it on? Favorite color is Green!! Thank you both!! ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸🇬🇧🇵🇹⛵👣🍍🤗👍
Did you call that pig "Ham"? My hearing must be going. Are the houses painted white because it reflects heat away from the house, or is it just a cultural thing? It looks good either way! Thanks for the good ideas for planting pots!
Hi, hope you have a license for that fire, can get from council is free but not so free if you get caught without one, as I found to my cost. You shout Jack for a pigs to move. See you have a house and not a barn for conversion like a lot of Brits have done and fallen fowl of a habitation license. The sort of thing their lawyer should tell them when buying.. Finding a good lawyer here is like looking for gold dust as they all want paying before they strike bat.You been here 4 years, same here. So you had no trouble getting in and registering with the council, unlike my friend who bought house here nearly 3 years ago and still hasn't moved in so now have trouble with s.e.f. saying he needs a visa which is out of order unless they are breaking the peace treaty they have had with U.K. for 650 years See you have some trees and things growing in pots, but where is the veg garden as the one thing you should have when you have a good size piece of land.
