I thought it was better to grow wheatgrass and microgreens with potting soil, no? Don't they absorb nutrients from the soil after the 5th day? Wouldn't they be less nutritious grown with coconut coir?

used this stuff in my seed planting formula for my garden, it was a nightmare to break down, I think my blocks were 3X the size of yours ... I would not be letting those flakes go down your plumbing, do it outside would be better.
I think you have a different form of coir. What we have is quite fine and extremely easy to work with. I've had no problem making it in our sink. Nor has our disposal had any problems with it. Thanks for your input.
