Who is Garden State Tortoise? 🧐
However you made it here, thank you and welcome to Garden State Tortoise. Garden State Tortoise is home to hundreds of animals from all around the world. We are a family dedicated to adventure, conservation of wildlife, and all things nature. We are a reptile rescue and breeding facility for more than ten years, offering refuge to those who need it, and working everyday to protect the beautiful world of reptiles in any way we can. Here on our RU-vid channel you will be able to join us on our animal adventures while learning how to care for, protect, properly identify, feed and even breed many species of turtle, tortoise, snake and lizard. You may not have been able to save Bubbles but you did make her final days the most comfortable she had had in her entire life. Shame on whoever did this to her and thank you for making her final days as amazing as you could.

The passing of Bubbles hit me harder than I thought it would. I was so emotional when you got her because of the neglect she'd suffered, and I was hoping she'd make it. I'm so thankful that she got to spend her last months at GST in the sun and was able to pass peacefully. RIP Bubbles.

Your emotional attachment to each animal on your sanctuary is a real testament to your care. I've learned as I have gotten older that it hurts to lose a 4 legged friend sometimes more than a two legged one. RIP bubbles, grateful you got to experience life with Chris and Casey before you were called to the meadow by the bridge. ❤❤

I’m so glad that Bubbles got to experience a proper content life that a pet tortoise should. And she got to experience love and care. Man, Chris, we are all right here with you, crying with you, grieving with you. You & Casey are SUPERHEROES, & Bubbles knew that she was one of the fortunate ones as soon as she met y'all. After a lifetime of neglect, a lifetime of missing out on love, she got to experience the absolute peak of Tortoise love & care from the greatest Turtle Sanctuary on the planet! You guys already know this, but you guys aren't alone in your grief, & I truly hope you both can feel the love & support that all of us are feeling. Tortoises in particular are such sweet, docile creatures. It really is the lowest of the low to allow such a magnificent creature to deteriorate to that point, but you guys SAVED her. She got to experience the maximum amount of happiness that many Turtles would dream of. We love you guys, & everything you guys do. ❤

I’m so sorry to hear the world lost Bubbles. I try to educate my friend’s kids that want to get turtles and tortoises because we all know children can have short attention spans when it comes to pets. I won’t let her life be in vain. Thank you Leone family for all you do for our shelled friends❤

A pet shop tried to railroad me into buying a Sulcata baby despite me telling them a live in a small house with inadequate space to house such a large animal. Thank goodness I already knew how big they will grow. I cannot understand why they are so desperate to sell them to places which cannot meet their needs. It’s baffling.

You really gave her everything that you could and I felt absolutely privileged this weekend to be able to meet you and have you share your knowledge with us. I genuinely meant it when I said thank you for even trying to help Bubbles and although the end result was not what anyone would want, her quality of life for the last few months must have been such a breath of fresh air for her this in itself is a small blessing: this tortoise passed while being loved (yes, I cried when you needed a moment on this video, your care for this animal and empathy came straight across). Again, thank you for trying.

Rip bubbles. She was fortunate to have found u in her final few months. I have had a couple of friends say they want a tortoise and I educate them, i literally advise them of the specific care needs, and while it may seem I'm trying to put them off I don't want to see any animal suffer because of people's lack of responsibility, research and ignorance. Thank u for all you do.

RIP Bubbles- thank you for taking her in, caring for her, and giving her some amazing last days. You had me crying over here early in the morning. We take in Sulcatas as well- thank you for the PSA on them. The more people know about Sulcatas, the more they can make educated decisions on if they have the proper set up and space for them.

Bubbles got to experience a full life with you. And that's huge. I work in dog rescue myself, and sometimes the best you can give a critter is a happy day with love before the long sleep. It's hard, and it's so worthwhile. (I'm a sucker -- 2 goats, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 uromastyx. All rescues.)

Your love for bubbles is so touching. You gave her the best ending of her life. I rescued a 45 year old box turtle a few years ago who had never seen another turtle. She now has a mate & had her first baby, which I kept. Your channel has taught me so much about turtles. I have turtles & 3 tortoises. All have their own personalities.

Oh so sorry about bubbles she had a hard life. But you gave her the most wonderful peaceful transition to heaven ❤️ she got to lay in the Sun and be happy under a bush to say goodbye. Leopard Tortoises are so incredibly varied in the way they look I swear. Sorry for your guys loss, its never easy to lose an animal. That said, JoJo seems like a great addition to the crew at least.
