@@gandalf_thegrey it'd be alright if it were just so.... But the politics is also a great deal. No south indians want castism in politics that are practiced by Modi govt. Further south representation is really poor in central govt. Since the population is being effeciently controlled and checked, the no.of constituencies in the south is declining while the population growth in northern state is rising increasing their representation. And south do not have a say in how their resources should be used. And ofcourse the money problem which you say is so pressing is a great deal too. For every 1000rs we pay as tax we get back only about 60% while for every 1000rs the northern states pay they get back a 140%. They feeding on our taxes isn't fair at all. So why don't you mind about your country and stop butting in ours.

I can understand Indian skepticism of the US, our government is far from innocent. However I think the threat posed by a China-Russia alliance towards India is much more direct and of larger magnitude. A nation of India's size will ultimately be unable to avoid taking a stance on global politics and, like the US before it in the early 20th century, attempts to remain isolationist will ultimately lead to grave consequences.

@@tyler8253 The Non Alignment Movement worked pretty well for us till Pakistan with the backing of China and the West attacked us. We were forced to turn to the only other superpower to help us, the Soviets. Now however, there are several influential powers and most of then have learned not to get too involved in foreign conflict. India has a concept of Multi Lateralism that hasn't changed regardless of the ruling government. This is a policy where there are multiple power centers all over the world that each have their spheres of influence. Its not like the past anymore where you have to pick between 2 opposing powers. Also I see no strategic advantage for India to get involved in far away conflicts like the one currently happening in Ukraine We would much rather, sit back watch everything that happens and trade with all sides. Our own development is much more important than picking sides in a conflict that serves us nothing

I moved to that area prettt recently! It's called Little Egypt due to the convergence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers making fertile lands akin to that of upper Egypt. Likewise, the Indigenous people of the area made huge mounds that reminded settlers of Egyptian pyramids. Cairo, IL is pronounced "KAY-row" and not "KAI-row" for some weird reason though.
