it's due to the change in duty cycle, which means it ALSO sounds spectacular!

@@shakisyaboi991 Yes, the duty cycle is the amount of time the pulse wave is on versus off for a given frequency. A square wave with a duty cycle of 15% will sound different from another square wave with 50% duty cycle, even if they have the same frequency. I just 100% completed both games on the switch version so I can tell you that the music in the world is the only thing good about it. the levels are pain

0:05 love how the purple accent notes kind of give the effect of a rocket trailing across the starry sky. The first few go UP in pitch to where they land, then the middle few don’t move much at all, then the final few go DOWN in pitch to where they land.
