If you get hit by at least a 90mm gun, the CDC will get penned no matter what unless hit at the gun mantel, meaning don't always really on auto pen at the mantel!

Let us be honest - Armor does not count anything if it is 20mm or 100mm at Tier 8 to Tier 10 - shots will go through like butter

The point is will HE penetrate? 20 mm at tier 8 - yes it will, 100mm at tier 8 - probably not.

Also mist guns at tier 8-10 can over match 20 mm of armor with AP since they're all 3x higher caliber, 100 mm can take HE and your armor wont be over matched and penetrated from any angle

swmark78 It won't kill the game at all. That's a ridiculous claim and I look forward to years of you being wrong. There was an accuracy buff a while ago and now they are repealing it. It's not like they are coming to your house and smashing your fingers to make sure you can't shoot. Skilled players will still be better than unskilled players. If anything this will force you to get better at shooting and working as a team to take a difficult target down. I guess you could say that midlevel tankers might experience some frustration as this will reveal holes in their play. Once you incorporate the change and become acclimated it won't be bad.

Going Vinsane That is going to make people buy more gold ammo, because they can't hit weakspots. And think about those poor low-tier tanks with 50% crews :(

No, it will be bad. High level players will be frustrated because more of their team mates will play badly. "mid-level" will be frustrated because what skills they've picked up so far will count for much, much less. A lot of tanks will become unplayable. Those that rely on their accuracy. It will be much harder to do well as a Lower Tier tank and you'll see a lot more low tier AFKs. It will become all about brawling at point blank ranges between heavily armored vehicles. It will basically come down to whoever's top tier heavies play the best.

Actually, that t49 shell just straight up penned your tank. The t49 doesn't carry ap/apcr shells, the only shells that are capable of overmatch.

exactly, HE and HEAT cant overmatch overmatching is when your gun's caliber is 3x bigger than the armorthickness (ie. 90mm gun -> can overmatch 30mm armor with AP/APCR rounds)

iTzLSDirection 90mm can't overmatch 30mm, because it has to be greater than, not greater or equal. You would need 91mm or more.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised when he stated overmatch, but we all make mistakes on occasion. :P Eisspitze Actually, it is equal or greater, and such is stated on the WG Wiki. *Overmatch* ... If the AP or APCR shell caliber is *3 times or more* than the nominal thickness of the armour (*such as a 120mm shell hitting a 40mm thick plate*), no ricochet will happen even if the impact angle is more than 70° from normal. xKillerClownx I'm sure wiki is wrong. Actually you need more than 3 times bigger gun caliber so 120mm gun cannot penetrate 40mm plate by overmatch (T110E5 versus side of Foch for example).

MacusFlash Well, I mean, Wargaming codes their own game, and they write their own Wiki. I would tend to believe it, even over what may be the truth realistically. But, like I said in that same post, people make mistakes, maybe what was posted on the Wiki is incorrect, maybe not. :P

It's because the T3 TD is so small that the commander's view isn't obstructed by the tank unless looking straight down, which results in great view range ;D

Good to know, French line is pretty sparse as is. I meant the premium, not the UE57. 400 metres, and I use binoculars on it, meaning it has the maximum view range, at tier 3.

I think this medium tank will actually be quite useful for those who are working on their french mediums, because for most of the B-C line you've been playing light tanks, then suddenly you get a medium thrown your way, so this medium tank can provide training for that. Even more useful if you're planning on keeping the amx 13 90, and are gonna be starting the Lorraine 40t with a fresh crew.

My only problem with the loop comparison is that the STA-2 took a shot to the engine compartment. That could have caused some damage we couldn't see from his screen, slowing the tank down.

I've just purchased this tank and I'm loving it. Using a 110% trained crew gun rammer cam on net and stabiliser. Shoot and move it's definitely and support tank unless u get a lone heavy with slow turret rotation but I'm averaging 30k credit rewards and that pays to run my T62.

The X3 mega-normalization only happens with AP shells, not the T49's HE. The armor was so thin that even HE went through it at that angle. XD

***** It's full of double usage and utterly redundant silent letters. Take "light" for instance, it can refer to weight, comparative darkness, to set something afire and what is emitted by said fire. One word, four meanings. Not only that but it contains a silent 'g', utterly redundant as previously mentioned. It's hardly surprising really since the English language is a mish-mash of a multitude of other languages including French (Norman), Scandinavian (Norse), Dutch, Latin etc. When you sit down and really analyze the English language you come to the realization that it is an absolute mess

HE Shells don't get overmatch benefits. The reason the T49's shell was able to pen your turret top is because the turret top angles forward a bit, and because the T49 has a fairly high shell trajectory for a direct fire platform.

Did a review on this tank on Saturday and indeed I agree with your points in the video, the armour is pretty much irrelevant because in WoT you expect everyone to be shooting gold and penetrating anyway. You might as well ditch the armour and have more speed in general. However, that being said for the final release of this vehicle the ground resistance stats especially when turning need to be buffed as it turns like a boat. Will be fun however on the live server and good players will indeed do great in this machine.

Just bought my CDC today. WOW, I love it! Such fun to play... I've either died quickly or had really good results. Not much in the middle lol. I'm a very average 54% player. I'm probably just good enough to start to get the best out of this tank 60% of the time. This is the most fun I've had playing WoT for a long time :)

the games are not "identical" but the tanks share the same stats with the exception of the high tier TDs and some other premium tanks. In this case yes, the CDC is exactly as it is on pc.

It really seems to be a more weakly armoured, yet more mobile, Leopard prototype. Checked the wot-compare site, and all the stats are the same, exept for the armor, HP horsepower and aimtime. They might be using the Leopard PTs stats as a placeholder for the CDC until they get a hold of the real stats.

Quicky... overmatch is 3x the diameter of the gun. So every 90mm and bigger gun is outopenetration anywhere except gun mantlet and tracks. KV2 says nom nom nom.

The FCM is not really an alternative for less skilled players. It has almost all the same problems, except that HE doesn't pen the front as easily. It still has effectively no armor versus everything else and takes module damage very easily. Newer players would have more luck in an IS-6 where the HP and armor will actually save them even if they get flanked.

i worry about the location of the CDC ammo rack as well though sits right at the front so tracking this tank via the front wheel sprocket will ammo rack fairly quickly :/

I have to say, this tank looks awesome, I've been waiting for a highly mobile tier 8 premium medium since I started playing (which was 6.something.) I don't mind sacrificing armour for mobility, however...such a big sacrifice would prove problematic, most mediums can shrug off normal caliber HE damage at least, but the gun and mobility look amazing, so I think that's enough to compensate for it's weakness in terms of armour. I guess we'll see :P

HE(or HEAT) shells do not overmatch anything, overmatch is part of normalization mechanism and only AP/CR has normalization. T49 did hit 15mm thick part top of the turret while tank was tilted towards him and shell simply went through. 15mm is so thin it needs to be in 11 degrees(79 from normal) angle to match average pen of T49's 152mm HE(= 50% pen chance). Already at 15 degrees, T49's HE will pen about 99 times of 100 as effective armor is very close to minimum roll. HE lacks also auto-ricochet mechanism. It just tries to pen and if it doesnt succeed, it explodes doing splash dmg.

Dang, 30mm of armor, almost anything that sees it can overmatch the extreme angles, 90mm guns and larger will be able to pen any thing except for possibly the gun. As much as I want it and/or the FCM 50t I scream internally not to.
