So right after WG said they had no plans to nerf the Kitakaze, they nerfed the Kitakaze. Doesn't seem to have done it any harm, though.

1:10 You missed a 3rd option; wargaming was telling the truth and the Q&A guys were well informed. What happened was that wargaming sat in their offices, probably drunk or something, and one guy was like "dude, what if we like, nerfed the Kitakaze", to which the rest replied "let's do it bro" and virtually overnight, they cobbled a rework of the Kitakaze together and pushed it out without testing. That is how I imagine every wargaming rebalancing going, given their results.

I'm not British, so can I get a translation for that quote? Because what I think British people mean when they say "gash" I've learned from The Inbetweeners... if you know what I mean. I see that it can also mean "rubbish", so maybe an older term for a garbage chute, but I'd like to know how/when it should properly be used, if at all any more.

@@rlenn6512 To be completely honest, it's Matlot/Jack speak, so the average British person wouldn't really get it either. But you are on the right track when you mention 'rubbish'. Gash in this sense, means 'shit'. So, the front end of a gash chute, means looking at the potential for being covered in shit, but could take action to avoid being covered in it. Or, the back end of a gash chute meaning, actually being covered n shit. Hope this helps. :)

@@rlenn6512 There is a book by the bestand bravest officer I had the honour of serving with called 'Jackspeak' which I help with the originals of (btw) by as I knew him Surgeon Commander en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Jolly It's a good and very funny read and also explains the meaning of the slang in the book. He's a man you would follow and commanded respect but not a man you would want to play rugby against.

Way back in the day, I was a roadie for a Blues Metal trio that opened for Faster Pussycat, among others, the rest of the lineup for that show being Bang Tango and L.A.Guns. It was in a tiny club, that has since closed and been demolished, in Salt Lake City Utah in the mid 1990s. Good times.

I played 3 games last night to try out a max AA build Worcester. Only 1 had a CV in it, and all three games were hotly contested with BB's all over the place. They all went down to the wire. It was amazing and great fun, even though I lost 2 of the games. And yes there were Thunderers in there as well! So there is hope for us yet. 😁

retired from the USN in '93, but yeh, it was Totally Fuct. trivia: on my first ship, DD-727, the welcome-aboard info stated the life expectancy of a DD upon commencement of firefight was 11 seconds. on DDG-19 (10 years later), it had "improved" to 17 seconds. cans are essentially paper tigers--the superstructures are aluminum, a teenager with an AK47 could ravage CIC, comms, and anyone on the messdecks with one clip.

IFHE Kita absolutely SHREDS most ships. Well worth it. And with that rate of fire you're going to set fires all day long even with IFHE.

If you want damage no, if you want to melt specific ships ie French and British BBs maybe. Overall not worth it since its way to specific and you will farm BBs anyway very reliable with superstruce hits and AP for broadsides

Jingles, those Missouris weren't anywhere near each other. The enemy Missouri was 3km away while the friendly Missouri was 11km away. Ramming was never going to happen, and likely wasn't even on the mind of either captain. I think the enemy Missouri was more likely to be trying to ram the friendly Colorado who was on roughly the same bearing and much closer.

Still have my highest DMG & XP game in the Kita-Krazy. But I don't remember her ever being 5.9. Even when they said she was not going to be nerfed she was 6.1, and I have full concealment. I have to check an old replay if I can find one to run on the latest patch.

How do I enable the feature that shows the time it takes to land the shells and shows the distance to the target? Can I enable that while still having the horizontal aiming line? My highest ship is only tier 3 in pc, but I come from a tier 6 in World of Warships Legends.

This is funny. this reminds me of a story In world of warships legends. They say that amagI battle win rate was to high so they decided to hit it with the Nerf hammer by lowering its health then they added the kii to the game some time later with amgai base health. You have to run a triple health build on the amgai to get its base health back. So when they’re adding new stuff/nerfing. This runs through our mind. ex player: please move Jean Bart to legendary. Dev: so what you’re saying is Nerf AMGAI!

And that reminds me of the German T7 premium cruiser München I bought recently. It's a fun ship, but definitely not overpowered and actually quite balanced all around. It didn't sell well because her bigger brother at T8 has 12 guns instead of 8 with the same reload and better armour, torpedoes, range, et cetera. So instead of buffing München to a point where it is passable they recently announced Weimar, a Yorck-clone with the same 12 150mm guns from Mainz at T8, but at T7, with 16 torpedoes to München's 8, better armour, more health, both hydro and DFAA and a fighter plane without needing to choose, and, because the one thing München is good at is speed, Weimar also gets an engine boost to make that up. I love this game but it's very apparent that love isn't being returned by the devs at this point.

The Dead-Eye skill is most keenly felt negatively by cruisers. I get one-shotted and citadel'd a whole lot more often now with BB's laser-guided shells while sailing cruisers. It's much easier for them now. It's the unlimited HE spam and torpedoes that's stopping the BB's from pushing. I've been melted with ease by destroyers and cruisers while sailing my Bismarck or Freddy Gross and I mean with EASE. Out of the game in 2 minutes or less. Also, it's way way way too easy to set fires in WoWs so even if a little DD with it's little pop-guns attacks a BB it will nearly always win because..... reasons. Using torpedoes (Ship or air launched) to 'pin' the BB into a certain spot or move in a certain direction, then unload the cruisers' and DD HE spam and melt. Rinse and repeat. That's why BB's haven't been 'pushing', not the Dead-Eye skill. Having a game style with an ammo supply would improve the tactics and game-play immeasurably. (No more unlimited HE spam and torpedoes) This won't be introduced of course.... ;-)

I was really interested if the friendly Bismark actually did any damage though. he was maybe afk for part of the game then he woke up then started border hugging. before pushing in with the rest of the team to B after A was capped. Shame no results screen. Colorado's positioning was also questionable. He could have gone to support the team up at C as he was closer to it when he spawned but he lemming trained to A. Benson, Anchorage and Lion made a good effort though. probably should have tried to bug out before it was too late but at least they had the balls to go to A to delay the enemy team.

wait what? it is pretty decent. it can do long range support fire, can hunt DDs and it can also punish overly confident enemy cruisers. it can pull well above its weight if you time your actions right.
