Shaka kuchiki it's worth it. Though the hipper can take serious damage from battleships, it can also deal the damage back just as badly. It even can citidel some Japanese battleships.
Yorck is much better at firing HE. AP has such low velocity its almost completely useless outside of about 10 km. But with HE you can make battleships cry with your great range and RoF.
The Königsberg is really awesome ship. I like the unique feel it has. For instance to shoot all guns on the left side you need ~35°, while the guns on the right side only need ~22°. ^^
Currently at Tier 3, considered making this a seal clubber, but decided on working up to Tier 4 because of the extra goodies available there. If I were staying at 3, my 10 point build would be Priority Target, Last Stand (arguments for and against duly noted), BFT, AFT, but obviously that's not going to work for Tier 4 and up main armaments, and secondaries aren't going to matter for a few tiers. Probably best to go PT, LS, DE, Concealment Expert IMHO, and have a captain who is more generally suited for higher-tier ships. Your thoughts?
just to bad the German destroyers don't get access to that 1/4 he pen like the rest do. But if they did, then perhaps they would be very powerful against other dd.
Did they take away AP for the Hermelin at some point? The German cruiser line is what I started with when I first got into the game, and I could have sworn it used to have AP.
They did. All T1 cruisers used to have both amo type and I can understand why they changed it. A friend and I had great fun playing high level captains and fully upgraded Hermelin(most people skipped the upgrades). Basically it was the most extreme kind of seal clubbing. You could outrange enemy cruisers because of your captain, had better game knowledge and could citadel them into oblivion. xD Just checked my stats on that ship and 20k average damage is kind of unfair when you consider that lvl1 ships only have 5k life.
This may be a really dumb question but....(I haven't played the game regularly in a few months)..... what port are you in that you can see the whole ship in dry dock? Is that view only available with a premium account or can everyone look at their entire ship in dry dock?
we really need to stop encouraging the endless spoamming of HE ... it is ruining the game and as somebody who is at the Roon and nearly to the hindy, if you are spamming he in the hipper/ Eugen , Roon, Hindenburg....try that two key your damage will most likely double...i did actually try to use HE for a couple games even after the pen change and it still is kinda worthless but you have god-tier AP....my Roon's Favorite snack seems to be Neptunes.... i kill them in like 2-3 salvos and at 6 rounds a minute that goes pretty quick
