It is easier if you only have to operate your ship for 15 minutes at a time (or rather 5-6 hours, which is the length of engagement the 15 minute rounds really represent). The Italians had great ships, but as you say, not enough fuel. And probably not enough ships either.
More like the Italian Fascist Party had to walk every where saying things like, "Weren't things supposed to be better with Mussolini?" while there's cars littering the streets of Rome. Meanwhile the Paolo Emilio gets 6 charges of, "HA HA HA! 136,000 ship horse power goes VROOM VROOM!!!"
@@CesarinPillinGaming What is even more incredible is that, in terms of XP gained for the match, the two players at the end, represent the #2 player from the winning team and the #3 player from the losing team. ROFL!!!! Must have been a weekend match.
I was in stitched the whole time, getting worse every time he pulled that cap... And now, when i see this ship, that's the only thing i can hear... Now imagine yourself playing this ship and pulling off a YOLO like that and shooting at the screen: "Choo, Choo, M.F.!" 🤣🤣
Vindicated if the DD is sitting in smoke not paying attention, but there's always a small bit of pity for those captains who sail into a blind spread that another DD fired off before being blown out of the water. This happens with and against Shimakaze all the time for me. Either I accidentally sink then or they accidentally sink me. Always worth a good chuckle in chat.
@@dylanwight5764 Absolutely true. You are repositioning and clear water and suddenly a 15 torps appear out of nowhere, even not aimed for you, just blindly "cause the range" and boom, back to port. Like the Ibuki at the start of the match. You just sail and suddenly "fck fck fck ... dammit" :D
true thing! my most ridiculous torpedo kill was with my IJN Mutsu. i knew i had a japanese dd somewhere to my left so i fired one single torp in the general direction of said dd. at least where i thought it might be and yes i hit and sank the bugger! fun times! 😅
That was a good match. Remember us screaming at the Östergötland to just hide, and the genius risking it all for nothing. Not every day you complement the enemy DD and report your own. I tip my captains hat to Ben, GG mate.
"World of warships - the thinking man's game" I'm afraid the intellectual future of humanity is not safe, after watching this endgame between the BB and the DD.
Or to give it an Air Force twist, and to piss off every service that still doesn't know where in the heirachy they belong. Flight Sergeant --> Warrant Officer.
"Friendly ibuki" is generally an oxymoron, largely because of their propensity to lob torpedoes from waaaaaaaaaaaay back into places dds on their team are likely to be.
That's true of all cruisers, has a Roon last night fire his 6km torps right into the smoke I laid for our Atlanta when the nearest enemy was 12km away bye bye Atlanta.
@@ashleighelizabeth5916 yup, he was in a tough spot tho... he knew he had to decide between getting the cap and watching his 3 teammates manage to die to one dd or keep the points they already had by keeping them from dying...he almost pulled it off too
I agree with AYAME, this match was essentially the perfect storm for the Paolo, I haven’t been on WOWS in a couple months, but just from watching, I mean you can see he only gets affected by radar once, the entire rest of the match he is free to do this because there are no carriers and no hydro, any of the two in this match would have stopped his pain trains long before they left the station.
@@Choukai_Chan Yeah, thats basically what drove me from this game.... I got the Warspite due to some returnee deal or something, plus I think I had at least a week of premium maybe.... but it is just such a bullshit game.. Warspite full broadside at the waterline, into a broadsiding... I think it was a T5-6 british BB, and no pens, not to mention citadels. I somehow overpen on the citadel... Then the return salvo nukes me.... It is just a thoroughly unenjoyable game now even when you are not being farmed by a CV.
unfortunately Wegee is doing everything they possibly can to make these potatoes as comfortable as possible. That's why I barely play anymore, there are barely any matches that are actually fun, most of them are just a "who fucks up the most" competition. You either lose because large parts of your team are useless, or you win happened because the enemy team had the higher percentage of glue sniffers on their side. At this point I might as well smash "W" and go take a shit while the battle unfolds.
Dear Mr. jingles, I am a huge fan for starters, and secondly; I would love to see more specialty ship replays like this! Even if they are out of meta or if they lose. Just watching player do their best in bath tubs is entertaining enough and make my week! Thank you!
Kudos to Jingles for your pronounciation of the Swedish destroyer names Östergötland and (in other videos) Öland. You really work hard to get it right, not just skipping to Oland (which sounds more like Åland, which is in Finland) or Austergoautland (which sounds like a parish on Gotland, Auster Gotland).
I don't usually laugh out loud during Jingles videos.. but watching him charge the musashi, then pop the full speed smoke. That did it... that absolutely did it
I must admit that I love the fact that Jingles so often have good like/dislike ratio. (As im watching 6,042/43) Jingles is one of those "ifnfluensers" I always comes back to watch, even if I take mayby 3 monthes off from time to time.
Just to let you know Jingles, Khab, Tashkent, Kleber, and Mogador at the least have worse conceal than Paolo. Also no cruiser has that good conceal sadly, at least at the relevant tiers
Holy bloody hell I'm the first one here, I need to think of something entertaining to say! Erm... erm... would you like to hear a joke? The US Mk 14 Torpedo.
Here's another one. The Kamchatka was a good and very effective repair ship that caused no international incidents. Didn't waste ammo, or see any torpedo boats. Nor was she the cause of the admiral swearing and throwing multiple pairs of binoculars.
Incredible almost-carry! Seriously can't believe that BB Minnesota didn't take out that DD for the mistake of gun-boating with him.... He ate a full salvo of torps too... the Minnesota was giving him the opportunity, just user error i guess.
I loved grand Moff Tarkin. I hope when he slipped off the deathstar (with a lot of storm troopers pay) that he's enjoying his well deserved retirement on an beach under an anonymous name, of course. Lol 🏹🤠👍
Too bad, great game for Ben! I couldn't tell which ship Grand Moff Tarkin was actually Captain of? Oh well thanks for sharing jingles and if I didn't say before Happy New Year you and everybody over there!
Remember that this angry smokescreen has 16+1 torps; At least it's a steel only meme boat. Any nearby hydro/US-radar and it becomes a blind pinata. So that's one plus side.
Who's a destroyer and a half? I'M a destroyer and a half! A full speed smokescreen and engine boost packin' destroyer and a half! DYNAMITE! Ooh, here it comes! Here comes the Night Train!
Actually. It can be a Destroyer. Because Cruisers are designed for a different mission. And that boat is a YOLO boat. And that is just what Italian Destroyers were supposed to do. Hunt and destroy more valuable targets of their enemies. And yet it was the British who consistantly YOLO'd harder.... Even in Carriers.
The pain train has well and truly rolled through the station. Oh, oh my God. What the actual FUCK was that Minnesota thinking!? Jesus man, why would he turn- you know what? Forget it. I give up.
You asked what the coincidence was to having 2 Star Wars character names was in this game. Pretty good I would assume. Especially since Star Wars battles were basically sea battles in outer space.
See, this is what destoryer gameplay should be. High risk, high reward. Not the meta of romulan cloaking devices, magical force barriers to blunt incoming shells, and high-RoF cannons loaded with greek fire. But yeah, there at the end. Got to love 1 on 1 matchups where one side isn't allowed to shoot at the other unless he makes a mistake. Tru balans, comrade!
I understand that this is just a game, so everything doesn't have to match reality, but what possible kind of smokescreen can mask in front of the ship? None, not even to this day. Also, that speed in WW2, no, not even today. My biggest problem with this game, which I do enjoy, is that they keep stepping out of historical reality so they can convince some sucker into paying for an upgrade or a ship that will help him win. But it's free to play, and I'm not going to pay for a pay-to-win game. I'll play my best to win in free-to-play, but it's funny that if they just sold the game without pay-to-win options, I'd totally pay $50 for it. Great video and commentary by the way, as usual.
I got this ship, and it is so gratifying slamming a Thunderer or Yammy with all the torps. Even more when you sneak up on an FDR or a Richthofen and you can literally pinpoint the moment they shit their pants. Great times.
You just cannot believe that out there are people with half brain cells dead and the other half takes nap just when needed the most. Jingles as always very, very entertaining comments. Thanks and be safe because we need your doses of cheer up in these bad times.
Now that Italian DDs are out, I can't stop playing it. Yes I'm Italian and whatever, but starting the first game with a tier 5 and making almost 100k damage the first battle was satisfying. Of course you can't play these DDs like the others. They are fast, the Maestrale, tier 5, with engine booster, can reach 50 knots. 50. SAP simply get rid of any DDs. And smoke can be used to protect yourself while fighting enemy DDs just to disappear after the job is done. This means that these DDs are made to push aggressively. Really aggressively. I damn love them.
While I half-jokingly refer to IJN gunboat DDs (especially Haragumo) as light cruisers without citadels, I'm pretty sure if you read its description the Yolo Emelio is ACTUALLY a CL, so it having such crap stealth and good armor for a DD makes sense because it isn't one. It's a CL without a citadel.
