what i wonder is if the scripted animation still plays out regardless of the cutscene itself not loading because of the positioning of the player character.i would assume no because emilee is like 2 km away and i dont even recall seeing mac cannon shots aside from the players
This is so impressive, I've tried that MAC concussion jump in one run and it took me 13 attempts until I could do it, the amount of time and effort that must have gone into this is truly amazing
Jesus this run is so much quicker than last I saw it. I remember watching Nak3dEli's speedrun guide for poa forever ago back before he left, it's crazy seeing it done over 10 minutes faster! Edit: Upon looking for the vid I realized he did it on laso lmao but it's still nuts
wtf, can you actually just normally shoot the core of the carrier to end the mission? that would of been super useful to know back on the 360 for monument, but didn't have nearly as hard of a time with it on mcc.
sorry for late reply, youve probably moved on now but yes. i center myself with the pole and watch that open hole on the right side of the mac cannon. when the sky through the hole gets fully covered by the giant covenant ship, i know i can enter the MAC
I played this normally on heroic and it was so hard for me it ruined the emersion. I planned on surviving the lone wolf for as long as I could because I knew 6 would've but I died instantly lmao
I remember spending like an hour and a half doing this on legendary for the first time...should have just watched this guy altho this was like 8 years ago lol

@@FelipeNiclvs. I’ve never personally gotten on them but people have done it. You can destroy the core then they just stay stationary. Which is weird because it’s just ported version from halo 3
That's fucking nutty Today I learned that you can do the concussion hop without the drop shield, that you can do it again to trigger the actual mac sequence, and that you can headshot engies
So the other Phantoms don't blast you to bits. If you sit out of sight they won't shoot at the cannon, so you can just wait till the cruiser is close enough and then hop in the MAC.
Wow that's impressive, such a way to get speedy. I wonder if this can be done on original X360 or XOne version of the game. Playing normal or actually any skull activated??
Yeah it's possible, but all the strats dayton does are very hard to pull off in a row, especially endfight. He's playing on legendary and he doesn't have any skulls on. (Skull runs are a thing, but this is for the legendary no skulls category)
