"If I die, I just wanna tell you how happy I am to meet a real Spartan." Got that once during that final push to the platform to await Key's pelican, watched in horror as that particular marine was killed just moments later.
This is very similar to my last time playing Halo 3, just before getting to the Cartographer. Female marine cries out in the fight just before "this is for my babies!" She was then scripted to stand where the explosive comes in after the cutscene. Had to pause in both cases
@@richardavelino7383 The entire purpose of Noble team on Reach was to go after civilian unrest. The first mission of the game is Noble team harassing a small farming town in retaliation for some vandalism. It turns out to actually be a Covenant attack, but they didn’t know that when they sent Emile, Jun, and Six there. They were going to kill civilians.
@@ShallowVA Nah, they were investigating the radio dead zone and missing patrols. Emile was acting the meathead, but the goal was to see if the occupied farmstead near the burning warthog was full of insurrectionists- which it wasn't. And no, Noble's presence on Reach was supplementary to all the other Spartans on-planet, because the Covenant were going to show up sooner or later. That said, I'm still annoyed at Bungie making the Spartan 3s wear MJOLNIR when they should've had SPI armor, not to mention the earlier lore mentioning that most of the Spartan 2s died on Reach.
@@domm6157 that quote doesn't imply that his wife was on the ship when it went down. I dont know, doesn't hit me that hard. It was a war. Many ships went down in battles that were special to many of our forces. Like The Pillar of Autumn.
A lot of these were funny, but the one with the Male Marine talking about how his wife gave birth aboard the UNSC Grafton (the frigate that was shot down by the Long Night of Solace) was kinda sad.
Cortana yelling "MARTY I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU" is some of the funniest shit I've heard, as I'm sure Marty O'Donnell put that into the scripts. Hilarious in retrospect
Jen Taylor was notorious for messing with Marty and Joe during recordings, often bringing out the dreaded "thirsty fangirl" voice, knowing _full well_ what people would think when they were going over the tapes.
"Spartans never die. Looks like this Six was never a Spartan." Holy shit roasted... This is a great line to since it references the fact that the previous Six is dead but was respected, THIS SIX on the other hand...
I wonder what the others think about six, I mean, according to the others his file is mostly encrypted and covered in black ink, do they view him as a complete psycho or a clown?
@@michaelzhang9806 Someone they presumably cared about or at least respected was suddenly replaced by a super secret guy who never talks and has an incredibly censored record. That’s definitely not someone they trust or even like. I’m sure the survivors started respecting him towards the end though, even if they never knew enough about him to like him.
I love how Six's staring is supposedly on his file. Six's file: *A highly trained and skilled soldier that spent years acting as O.N.I's personal hitman. Has taken out various Insurrectionist and Covenant leaders. Can use a variety of weapons and vehicles. Took part in the top secret and highly experimental Saber program as a pilot. Also stares a lot*
When kat laughed, she immediately took it back, I guess this means that she wants everyone to think she’s a soldier and all she knows is war, I suppose this means she wants to be serious about this, but takes it too far, unlike Emile.
@@YTRook81 no that’s Carter’s line from the gameplay in the background. You can just make out he’s saying “Spread out” just as they’re getting out the Falcon.
@@c.e.oofcrabgang2887 Cayde was voice-acted by Nathan Fillion, Buck's voice-actor, until Forsaken, when he wasn't available, so they hired Nolan North to do his voice instead.
@@SoupSultan You're right, the video is titled 'Extracted IWHBYD Dialogue' so it's safe to assume most if not all of this dialogue is from the IWHBYD skull, just gotta get lucky enough to hear 'em.
Johnson saying "I could be your daddy, but-" actually referring to an older Halo reference. "I Would Have Been Your Daddy, but the Dog beat me over the fence."
@@Aspis_1-0 Yeah, I personally never knew about it till after I watched 3 of Villainous' previous videos and hearing the line. Figured it might have gone over someone's head.
About the thing that Jorge was like a cover, Jun was absolutely right. Because in the trailer we can see how Kat goes behind Jorge like he is a shield.
Jorge was a Spartan II and wore Mark V Mjolnirr-grade armour to match, meaning it's got better shields and thicker plates...combined with the more extensive modifications to Jorge's body, allowing him to resist more shock and trauma...he basically is walking hard cover, compared to the Spartan-IIIs and their cheaper gear/augmentations. I seem to recall reading somewhere that Spartan-II Mjolnirr marks were comparable to the hulls of frigates or Scorpion MBTs...while Spartan-III armour was more like the Warthog...
Honestly, I wasn’t ever really sure what to think of Emile, other than he was a bit of a murderous psychopath towards the Covenant. But after hearing the dialogue about his brother, it actually makes sense now. All of these extra lines are unearthing some dope lore on Noble Team.
He wasn't nearly as psychotic towards the Covenant as he was towards innies. He was supposed to be pulled out of noble team if they found out it was innies that caused the damage
Yeah Emile puts up the persona of being uncaring but the entire reason he’s such a good Spartan is because he cares too much. Jun on the other hand… his lines are straight psychopathic sometimes with his views to civilians and the war. Like he clearly enjoys killing and it doesn’t matter if it’s human or covenant
@@empdisaster10 I don't think he enjoys it. I think he's just pessimistic, which is understandable given that Reach was a losing battle, and they all knew it
4:58 I was playing firefight on reach as buck one day and I hopped into the forklift on sword base and he said that magical line and I instantly got shot by a grunt with a fuel rod by the propane tank and died
15:11 is such a serious feeling. It’s always so terrifying when adrenaline or an injury blows ya over and you can’t feel anything and you’re too afraid to look D;
@@ColdNorth0628 in some of the deep Lore when New Mombasa was attacked it became more of a holdout in each city dwelling that held police and military assets that were cut off. No one who could hold a rifle was spared from being put on the firing line and since the Covenant were commiting genocide.. well can you blame them?
Jun was a headhunter, he was literally raised to do onis dirty work like if a colony of people realized that oni had an idea about the halo rings beforehand, which is why Cortana went to those coordinates in the first place.
@@tuskinraider5926 nah, oni and the Spartan program were created to suppress farmers who didn’t like the deal they had been given. See, entire planets (with around a million people on each) were dedicated to farming, supplied just about all the food but weren’t given any voting power. They rebelled and instead of the government trying to give the farmers a better deal they sent genetically modified and mutilated child solders to murder entire continents of people. THATS what Oni and the Spartan program were created for
@@Mandem.Simmons Most likely a line that would play when Chief is killed from behind. Instead of "CHIEEEF!" it's "MAAARTY!" Or just dies in general. I guess the extra e and a aren't necessary, oh well. There's also ass_grabbed, either they used multiple tags for the same thing or I just don't know enough. I don't know much to begin with, but I feel certain she yells chief when you die sometimes.
I heard one of the female Marines get shot and scream out"I bleed more than that on a regular basis!" I had to pause the game and put the controller down I almost died laughing
"Shoot him right in the... purple thing" "In your face, that is your face right?" "Just like shooting swamp rats back home" The amount of times I've heard these lines I'm tempted to just destroy my falcon and get a new one with different marines when ever I play New Alexandria.
I could never before have imagined Kat giggling like a school girl with delight. I guess it just goes to show you that, everyone, no matter how old, how damaged or how war torn and cold inside, still has a cute side, IMO this is the most important side to people, because it is our truest and most showing self and one that shows a willingness to be truly open and vulnerable with people.
Noble 6 is the one you don't want on your 6, funny enough. Imagine masterchief but completely without morals and only following oni kill orders. Kinda just headcanon here, but 6 probably killed thousands of children in inssurectionist colonys, not to mention other civilians. Probably killed quite a few UNSC personnel considering how ONI works
@@tuskinraider5926 never read the books but that’s not exactly the impression I got from him ingame. I mean even I get that ONI is past morally gray but soldiers follow orders, especially ones indoctrinated since childhood. Sure his human killcount is possibly in thousands but looking at how 6 goes out of his way to help civilians and marines despite not having orders to do so in Exodus I doubt that’s a fact he’s proud of
1:09 I think this is a reference to Simo Hayha, the Deadliest Sniper to have ever lived. Though i don't know who asked him the question i went like this: Q/ What did you feel when you were shooting these soldiers ? A/ The recoil of my rifle. Nice one Halo 🙃
@@PaimenPlays I'm not sure that Mr Hayah joked about the recoil part💀 Maybe he did understand the question but i think he wanted to clarify that he couldn't get emotional on the battlefield. Who knows. Either way his anwser was kinda...cold

It just happens to function like a key in very specific situations." "Or... it's a key all the time, and when you stick it in people... it unlocks their death."
Carter: Telling Six that any misconduct goes onto his file. Jun: Oh hey, did i tell you about that one time i slaughtered civilians like a psychopath? Good times...
Reach was the best. Every character was awesome. Something halo as a series does well is really gets you into the characters with great dialog, really flushed out personality, etc... Buck is definitely one of my favorite characters. ODSTs in general.
