My sad Action Man story: I had a ‘Talking Commander’ Action Man, which would utter various military phrases such as “TAKE COVER!” when a string in his back was pulled. One birthday I received a ‘working’ parachute for him. Excitedly I fitted the parachute to him and threw him out the bedroom window, and watched with horror as he plummeted to the patio below, his ‘working’ parachute failing to deploy. Following his parachuting accident he developed a severe speech impediment, pulling his string resulted in a stuttering “Ta, ta, ta, take cov, cov, cov, cover!”.

So the worlds smallest action man is like an action man for an action man.

With a spread like that Action Man should've been called Power Bottom.

I am curious how well a Coquettish Man action figure would have sold.

I remember Hot Wheels used to have a series of extra small cars that I used to collect. Not as small as these new “World’s Smallest”, but they were noticeably mini.

I love how Ashens failed to notice how the Stretch Armstrong seemed to get bulkier and more disproportionate every time it returned it to its vanilla pose.

World's Smallest Transformers had a Soundwave that came with a teeny tiny Ravage about half the size of your pinky nail. But it DID convert from a jaguar to a cassette tape.

Desolder the jumper on the PacMan mini, solder each of the 4 pins nearby to a different direction. Hold a different direction on boot up for Galaga, PacMan, Ms Pacman, and Space Invaders. Not holding a direction boots into test mode. This works with any of the 4 units ;)

To dissasemble the cube, you move one side a 1/4 turn and pop the corner piece off. Then just keep rotating every thing till it's in bits and reassemble. I had the same one for years.

technically, the world's smallest action man isn't really, they did "the world's smallest GI joes". Whose price isn't small, for some reason. not small at all.

I remember attempting to peel the stickers off of a couple Rubik's Cubes. Sometimes I could actually get them off, but the adhesive wouldn't be very good when it came time to put them back on, but usually you just ended up with the nasty white residue and an unusable sticker. I *definitely* remember disassembling at least one (probably involved wedging a screwdriver in between the cubes instead of using the thumbs) because I always felt like the core looked *really odd* for some reason.

Tiny Stretch Armstrong seems more tidy and well-behaved than his relatively gargantuan goo-filled predecessor. More compliant & demure, less heft & goo.

It's funny how you said that about Action Man putting a magnet in his head since that's pretty much how they flocked the original heads in the 1970s. The heads were placed on a static generator that attracted the fibres.

Weird seeing the 90s action man logo on a mini 60s Action Man/Gi Joe, because that version's like an entirely separate entity from Gi Joe/Original Action Man (even here in the US).

It's mad that I've been watching this channel all throughout my childhood through my teenage years and now entering adulthood.

The original Stretch Armstrong was much denser and heavy. After getting it for Christmas in the 70s I took it to Catholic school after the holiday break, had it outside in the snow, and it froze solid in a matter of a few minutes.

Gonna be honest, I kind of love that the Hot Wheels car comes in its own tiny packaging.

That Action Man sitting pose we used to call Baby Burpo after a character from I think Beano or one of them. I remember having a large Darth Vader (12" scale I think) way back that sat like that.

The stretch Armstrong is not filled with the same stuff. The original filling was gelled corn syrup.

The tiny action man works well with G.I Joes. A nice background character or new Joe or suchlike. The Mini Pac-Man machine also scales well as a Pac-Man machine for said G.I Joes!

Wow, I actually have something from that line. World's Smallest Magic: the Gathering, which is two teeny-tiny decks of cards with itty bitty print on it that you'd need a magnifying glass to play without squinting. But it does have all the text, symbols, illustrations, and everything.

I had a stretch arm strong and my sister had his sidekick a dachshund. I wondered what makes them stretch so bit into them and broke the toys apparently it was a type of goo. This was duing the 90s BTW it was re released and my brain is a bit broken Also had a Acton man and I'm a girl who wanted a swimming barbie but still liked him, he had a drill and scoober gear also played the demo of the PS game I was maybe around 10, 8 at the time "action man the greatest hero of them all"

Have a "worlds smallest" he man figure, articulation is minimal, but if you need the power of greyskull in your pocket, complete with package, it's an option.

I think I own a smaller Action Man figure based on the 2000s line.. same amount of articulation, I believe it came with Happy Meals or something to that effect.. I may have to dig it out for comparisons sake.

I remember having the 90s version of Stretch Armstrong. It had a cheesy grin and removable shorts, which my sister was disappointed to discover that there wasn't an additional part to stretch underneath.

I wish they'd had tiny Hot Wheels back when I had my HO model train layout, I think the scale would have matched better. The Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars I used back then were really too large.

I am sure there was an actionman themed micro machines playset at some point in the 90s that probably has a poly pocket scale actionman in it.

Saddened there isn't a nod to the Worlds Smallest Transformers in this video.

Some of the World's Smallest items actually are useful as diorama pieces. They have a turntable from that line that is perfect for the 1/12 scale.

I've collected a set of "World's Smallest" G.I. Joe figures, the ones from the 80's that is. Two of them I got through their "World's Smallest Mystery Box" line, and the the third one on my Birthday. Pretty cool stuff. Fun video, I did see the old school "G.I. Joe" one, aka "Action Man" on one of the pamphlets, seeing it here, it does look dope, in both the good and bad ways.

Bought one of the "Worlds Smallest" Transformers Starscream figures at the mall a couple months back. Idk why i thought it would actually transform, but still a nice little novelty nonetheless.

I have the World's Smallest Magic Cards Nicol Bolas vs. Ajani decks. They're not made from the same quality paper like Magic cards, but they're nice and playable, about 1/4th the size of a real deal.

I have World's Smallest Transforming Transformers, Megatron and Soundwave. Soundwave came with Ravage, and he was literally the size of a fingernail.

Rubik's Clock! Forgot all about that till you mentioned it, had that and loved it for a good while as a kid.

I think the World's Smallest Pac Man is like a wrist unit on a watch band they made in the 90s.

I will definitely move on from calling myself a cuber and just fully embrace the cube-meister title.
