As a South Korean, we do know the pear juice. It’s just that we have a nationally popular one, called “여명”(Yeomeoung). It tastes like traditional medicine but is a real deal for hangovers. That brand of pear juice, or any tomato juice is a second option.

Prairie oyster in Canada means entirely something else! When Ollie is psyching out Rev Chris and Josh to do it as a shot I feel there should be a warning - this is what peer pressure looks like kids, do not concede! Well done Ollie on keeping it down!

In Poland we say "Na zdrowie" which means 'For health" and if you really experience a hangover anything that's sour tastes so awesome. Pickle juice (best is made at home while making pickles, food stuff is ugly) is really good. Did you taste red beetroot base for the soup? It's very similar in taste. Just go for the fermented cucumbers instead of pickle - pickle is based on vinegar while cucumber one is based on water with salt and garlic and dill.

With the Polish solution for hangover you have been almost correct, we do drink pickled cucumbers water for hangovers, but it's water in which cucumbers were fermented but not pickled with vinegar. Just cucumbers, water, salt, garlic and some herbs left for a few days-weeks (Just like kimchi!). After the cucumbers are pickled, the water contains a lot of priobiotic bacteria and that's what really helps with hangover. Polish and Koreans really do love their fermented vegetables ;) Cheers!

Guys, the pickle juice we drink in Poland to cure hangovers is definitely not vinegary pickle juice. The one we would go for and the one that works best for me is salty pickle juice (ogórki kiszone in Polish). These pickles are made by basically fermenting cucumbers in a very salty water with some garlic, dill and sometimes grape leaves. It may sound gross, but when you're hungover the salt and the sourness of the fermented cucumber are

I think the reason why Ollie had it the 'easiest' swallowing the last hangover cure, is because he had more liquid to help down the egg yolk (the main reason for Chris and Josh's vomiting). And yes, not anyone would expect that Ollie would be the hero in such a situation, so cheers to you, Ollie!

My mouth was watering when they had the pickle juice. I love pickle juice! For it to be effective, you should have a couple shots of pickle juice at the end of the night before you go to bed. It will prevent you from becoming dehydrated while you sleep. Dehydration is what causes the hangover.

Honestly, I genuinely like pickle juice. It is something people drink in the southern USA. It's not consumed in great quantities, but the salt and vinegar are very refreshing/rehydrating on a hot summer day. It's like replenishing your electrolytes, which is probably what genuinely makes it good as a hangover cure.
