Here's the very excellent, very underrated, very overlooked LRMSMSLR module from WORNG Electronics ... that's wrong, spelt wrong ...
The LRMSMSLR takes a stereo input (left and right) then sums them together to create a mid input and creates a signal that's a difference of the two to create a side signal. This is a common mastering technique often doing things such as removing low end from the side stereo elements to clean up a mix. The mid signal is a single mono channel and the side input is a single mono channel, it's the way their phases are flipped and interacting when brought back together to recreate a stereo image. It's great for taking that side output and using mono FX modules that when brought back into the module create stereo images with those FX on them from super wide to more subtle stereo images (with a dry unprocessed mid to keep things focused). It can also do some unity summing, CV difference / averaging. Lots of patches, lots to get through, skip through the index below if you can't watch all the way through.

SEVERAL EXAMPLES OF STEREO AUDIO PROCESSING
13:39 Modern cutting/bright synth riff. Showing the mid/side elements and processing the side with FX that “as if by magic” now appear in stereo.
15:59 Ambient piano. Stereo piano, resonator, reverb stereo signal. Splitting into mid/side and processing through a phaser.
17:02 Acoustic drum loop. Using the side signal as a way to pull out and/or remove the room reverb around the drum kit. Then processed through an Echophon, frozen and mangled.
18:04 Dirty, gritty bass wub-wubs. Side signal reverb added.
UTILTIES
18:58 Mixing the left and right signals from two mono sources (to left and to right) and taking the mid output as a summed output.

21:07 Using two mono signals into the left and right and using the mid as a summed CV and the side as a CV difference both modulating independent VCAs for relating but different modulation signals.
USING TWO DIFFERENT FILTERS (even stereo image without matched filters)
22:47 The last patch uses two different filters over the mid and side and two different modulation signals of them. This creates a stereo filtering effect even though I don’t have two of the same filters to get a matched / even stereo image. This also means filtering them differently creates a moving stereo image/width. Very cool.
