Thrain is incredible for his pts, I've come first and second with him in my in tournaments before ,used him as a single drop to help my deployment, I was using him in pits Of dol guldur. He also went cracked with f6 A3 against thranduil with azog, never did very much for the rest of the games bar help my deployment, but for 10pts always a bargain.

I love running the Knight of Umbar on fell beast with my Corsairs. Throw him at troops and captains until the big named heroes are low on resources then send him in on them

The Stormcaller battle could have gone quite a bit more in depth. Since they are Minor heroes you cannot even ally either into the list of the other, so you can discuss their relative value in their respective lists. imo: Lothlorien + So much other magic (Celeborn, Galadriel) can make sure the opponent cannot resist the Call Winds + Loth has more Might so only 1M is less of problem + Haldir being Valour makes it so Loth has a little bit of a lower warband space problem - Loth already has more shenanigans such as galadriel, sentinels, pikes, elves cloaks, ... so much lower added value - Loth really (like, really) needs killing potential, so anything that doesn't kill has an opportunity cost - Dismounting an enemy hero when all your heroes are Foot is a defensive option. Rivendell + Rivendell can kill stuff so less problematic that the Stormcaller cannot + Dismounting an enemy hero when all your heroes are Mounted is an offensive option. - Cirdan being Minor creates more warband space problems - Cirdan being 1M and no 3M heroes creates Might problems quicker - No other magic (well... Gildor I guess) so enemy is more likely to resist Call Winds So while both are inefficient use of points, the reason they are bad is different. To me a Lothlorien stormcaller has simply so little added value in a Lothlorien list that I wouldn't consider it next to all the other shenanigans I can pull. In a Rivendell list I always end up thinking "one Call Winds could get Gil-Galad from great to downright unstoppable", but it's never enough to beat Cirdan for the low-might-minor-hero spot.

I have to ask where the following profiles were, since I feel that they are a lot worse than some of those offered there. Fredegar Bolger: I love Freddy Bolger, but objectively he's pretty bad and is worse than Lobelia. Lobelia at least has an opportunity benefit for Stand Fast! denial, and can actually roll a 6 in combat meaning that she can assist other heroes. Freddy can't even do those things, and has 0 Might or Will meaning he can't stick around particularly long to assist should things start going belly-up. The Dwimmerlaik: Being forced to 2H and having 0 Might while not even being as good as Grima at his job is pretty pants. While he does have 16 Will, he's only as good at casting as a nameless Ringwraith, but Nameless Wraiths are customisable and can take Might, and all they "lose" is 2 max Will and a meh special rule comparatively. He's worse than the KoU, who can at least stick around comfortably if he's being used to bully regular troops - the Dwim hasn't really got anything going for him since you have several other better Spirit Heroes available to Angmar, and Mordor have all 9 Named Wraiths to play with & the Nameless Wraiths, and absolutely don't want him. Girion: Of all the other profiles that aren't generic and thus kind of excused, Girion is probably the worst around due to the fact that taking him only has opportunity cost. Dale can run regular Captains to get allied into Army of Thror, which with Girion is their only worthwhile alliance, while both Bard and Brand are superior as well as give you access to better alliances. Yes, he can shoot a Great Bow 3 times a round and also may take a Windlance, but the latter is an absolute meme and the former isn't that great when Legolas exists and can ally a lot more lists.

this is funny you said pippin is the worst hero. iv taken him several times and his resist magic rule is quite useful.

That was a fun format. Maybe advertise the category and ask viewers/listeners for nominations with one reason why? I lean to theme so often take Pippin in my Minas Tirith lists and his 'victory' in this Worst hero probably partly explains why I don't always do very well!!

😂😂Amazing! Im a new ruffian player. Ive painted 87 models for my army at 700 pt and BILL is the only ruffian that i own not paited! I had the choice to put him in my list but i prefered to max out axes instead! You dont have to have it in the LL but you need him to have the warbands of ruffians without capitans.

That was a lot of fun. Tough to have a discussion about heroes who's profiles you never read because you know they are terrible. I do feel that Bill should have taken the win there though. At the end of the day they are both so bad you have to look beyond the profile and Peregrin's miniature is much nicer and besides, he's a Hobbit wearing armour. That's epic by Hobbit standards. So he's far cooler and therefore better. Again, really fun discussion.

Great video. You could have definitely broken it up to two videos. 'Worst Competitive Profiles' indicating that the selection is models commonly seen in a competitive environment. Another video could have been 'Worst Non-Competitive Profiles' obviously models not commonly seen.

When you argued that Bill could at least lead troops while pippin cannot, isn't there an army bonus where ruffians warbands don't have to have a captain? So bill could potentially be even worse as he doesnt even have that going for him. (im not sure if this is outdated since bill and the other captains were released).

I feel a bit stupid asking, but why is the Knight of Umbar considered so bad? I bring him most games so he can match big heroes in combat. Used him to bring down Treebeard and (partially) Smaug before. Am I missing something obvious which makes him so terrible?

Lobelia is filthy with rangers who she can green ally. The rangers can still use stand fast since they are heroes. Or just take her with halbarad and now all your hobbits are fearless
