It looks OK. Bet it's rammed when the illuminations are on or (even better still) "turkey and tinsel" breaks. There's a lot worse in Blackpool. 😊

I’m really enjoying your channel Paul, I’m working my way through from your latest to earliest videos. Love your honesty and sense of humour. This was another great review but that floor would have done my head in. Otherwise for the price it’s decent.

My daughter and I stayed here one night DBB in Nov. It was lovely and clean. We had a side sea view looking towards the tower.Food was plentiful and tasty.Its a bit tired but could be really lovely,and yes would stay here again.

I first came across your channel when you did a chippy review in blackpool or bispham or clevelys and it was recommended on my channel. Your sense of humour with some of your comments do me me chuckle lol. just watching this one now . Don't know why but ive always liked Brittania hotels, hit and miss with rooms and you know it will always be old decor very old fashioned but just love the reception areas and history. I miss staying at Metrople but i've stayed in different places there now and VFM (when out of season).

When out of season so your not wasting ya money, please go Headlands in Blackpool. It reminds me when I was little, it was the bees knees back in the day (not that I remember or took much notice lol) it was always the revolving door for me. I stayed 2021, oldy breakfast service but it was ok, lift was so 1960s including furniture but ya know what Paul...I flippin loved it!!

Just had a two night stay there and i honestly think there was nowt wrong with it. The room was basic and clean but what did i expect for what i had paid. Evening meal was ok but breakfast was spot on. 2 for 1 drinks offers were a bonus also. Staff polite and friendly.. Tram stop right outside also so all in all a nice weekend

Thanks for the video Paul, i used to go to the savoy many yrs ago, for a dinner dance in november before Mcdonalds took over, it was lovely, well decorated great meal and entertainment, with lavish surroundings, pity its like this now, mcdonalds seem to let these hotels go to rack n ruin 😢😢

Hi Paul, I agree what you said towards the end that i suppose you pay for what you get, meaning that some people may very well be looking for a budget style hotel which meets their needs and what they can afford and that's fair enough. However that said, i don't think hygiene and cleanliness or tidiness should be compromised just because its a low budget hotel or Guest House. At the end of the day people must make their own decisions, which i'm sure they do. Incidentally there seems to be some Health and Safety issues which should be addressed in your room don't you think?.

It does intreage me about there only being a shower in the bathroom-despite there being room for a bath-perhaps showers are what the majority of guests want ??? Don’t really like the creaky floor,I’d be worried about disturbing the guests in the room below me ??

So glad you showed this hotel, we went to Blackpool back in march of this year, 2023, stay on the sea front, Manchester Square. But every day when we went out on the trams, i mentioned to my friend, if we come back we should try the Savoy hotel out. 🤔 I think when you get makes on the bedding its because the people who do the laundry arent opening the bedding out & the sheets & pillow cases, they just ram it in the washer & its not getting the washing detergent on it. Pity, theres always something that lets a place down. Aye always take my own cleaning products with me, plus a Dyson, depending on where im syaying. Think this one is a Hit & Miss, id stay & see for myself.

I would of said the “The New President” it’s a total dive the room we stayed in stank of drains, and was filthy there were used toothpicks on the floor, the kettle had a hole in it, curtains had holes in them, I wouldn’t stay a night in there, we checked out and had to get a refund via Expedia

It looked good value for money and somewhere i'd stay ...but stained bed sheets are always a nope and a basic thing to get right no matter how cheap and value for money you are, they gotta sort that out or people are going to just keep giving really bad reviews. it wouldn't take much by who ever runs it, to make this place great. After all, you can be value for money and not be a sh*t hole 😉 Nice work on the review though, always real and honest 👍

Doesn't look as bad as what's made out on TripAdvisor but what alot of people go by the name and what the hotel looks like on the outside. Not one I would stay at doesn't look as though my wheelchair would fit in the lift or down those corridors with the big heaters sticking out on the wall it's one we've always said we would like to stay in though

Morning Paul, my first impressions are that it is in need of a major upgrade and most certainly the floors need looking at, though agree with your assessment - when I book a hotel I need it to be clean and comfortable as I am paying for the room not the hotel activities. Not sure when you went and why the cost was as good as it was. Looked at 2 nights in mid-July (Friday/Saturday) and the prices are quite bizarre. 2 night break with dinner, bed and breakfast (non-refundable) £140, yet a 2 night break for room only (non refundable) £167 and they also offer a 2 night break with dinner, bed and breakfast for £230.80 (non refundable). The first price is for a short break, the higher price is for an advance saver. Pay on stay (can be cancelled up to midnight the day before) is £240.80 for 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast

In the same area is Berkeley holiday apartments, it looks like a hotel At the front its very nice place well furnished. The downside is the price for one week is over £2000 that's extorted especially with i stayed there in 2014 the price then was £800 for one week. I don't understand why the price has gone up dramatically perhaps you can find out why

when you look at what you paid then not as bad, but since prices can increase to silly money this may be were a lot more of the bad results come. You still have to say for the day and deal you got what else was on offer in Blackpool to stay it seems to be a more elderly place to come. were eye sight may not be as good and the hotel cuts corners on how clean they get things. like the sheets. the Breakfast seem a bit small it was missing items. and you did not say that other items could be put on the plate. as EG no hash.

The floor is very loud ,must b a older building , I guess you can’t expect much ,when it’s only so much a night

We stayed in the hotel savoy over Christmas and it was brilliant staff and the hotel was nice. The only problem I didn’t like was the lift was a bit slow.

We've been to the Norbreck Castle in Blackpool and had no problems but it is a long way out.

All of those old folk dancing looked like they were pushing a fridge up a spiral staircase.

What do you expect its not the real Savoy hotel if you want that you need to go to London not Blackpool 😂

Before I read the comment about it being a Britannia I was reminded of the Central Birmingham one where I stayed a few years ago, similar decor and brick wall views out of corridors and rooms but at least no frosted glass in bedroom, that was very noisy all night as it looked out onto the central area with kitchen fans etc, so this looks good by comparison

I’ve stayed in far worse in Greenwich London , carpet with cig burns, fanny stamps all over the bedding, curtains hanging down…. No tv or bru material and a communal shower/ sink you had to share with others 😂😂 This is luxury 😂😂

I’d say the”Heywood hotel” is the worst I’ve ever nearly stayed at,,,, I walked out with my little girl,,, it was disgusting,,, nothing like what was advertised,, Chris/Steve the manager can’t remember which it was said I’d get a refund but never did,,,, avoid like the plague at all costs,

I wouldn’t stay in any Britannia establishment i it was free ,don’t know if you guys know but pontins holiday camps also belong to that group we went to pontins never ever again, traveled 4hr to sleep in filth stayed one night

Well unfortunately I make my staff work and change bedroom I always wonder what it looks like the last hotel you has big tv I find interesting ❤❤❤

Great vid. Can't expect too much for the price. Personally, I couldn't sleep on stained bed sheets.

When all the hotels were opening up again after the pandemic I booked in for one night as I was going to a show. The room was filthy and shower was growing mushrooms. I didn’t even put my bag down and chose to travel home. The bedding had pubic hair on and the net curtain was yellow and ripped. I got my money back eventually thankfully. Avoid like the plague. Eeewww 🤢

I would stay their it's a grand victoriana Hotel lots off features breakfast looked OK and great for a few nites you should have had a price list for the bar but £52.50 for 2 is good but on the video you also said £52.50 each what was it please

No way the Savoy is the worse hotel there is a hotel on Hull road Blackpool £25 a night no hot water showers don't work terrible

My brother stayed there. 2 or 3 weeks ago. Monday t Friday Elvis week. I told him I saw you on utube n how you said it’s the worst in Blackpool What I don’t understand is he said he really enjoyed his stay can’t knock it he said. Food was great n entertainment was brilliant. Bed was comfy. He’s booked an holiday for the same place in 3 weeks time n my bro is a fussy person. So must be quite good 👍

Genuinely we Booed in here and booked straight out, any sensible person who keeps a clean home will only understand the state of this place. The coffe tasted like pee. The room door had all split wood where it had been kicked in and repaired. Dossers in rooms smoking weed. Filthy room disgusting mattress. Horrible if you can say any good about this place then your home must be a tip like this place so there used to the smell. Absolutely Disgusting this vide makes it look OK but belive me most rooms are Disgusting. This hotel chain is voted uks worst how mutch more do you need to hear to belive stay away

The good news...Twenty six nicker for bed and breakie. The bad news.....Brexit. The hospitality industry, particularly at the cheaper end, started going down the tubes when the Eastern European workers went home, imo. That bedding wouldn't have been on that bed, if the housekeeper was Polish, Romanian or Bulgarian etc...they took a pride in what they did. Agree with you about these rabbit warren hotels, mate. Nightmare finding yer way out, and in a fire.....🚒🔥

My partner and I whent there years ago they didn't have a double bed available, so they upgraded us to a two single room with awesome sea view. We watched the sun set every night, it was stunning and had a jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was so so, the receptionist was rude and dismissive. The breakfast staff were lovely. Are all the refugees still there?
