The first lady basically lost her business from that incident. She owned an edibles company, and all the dispensaries in SF dropped her products. She had no one to sell too. In bowling, it's polite to not throw the ball when the person next to you is also throwing the ball. But she went over board on it.

I saw some kid selling lemonade for 25c a cup the other day. I rarely see that anymore. The local pizza place let him set up a table right on the side of their building. In the US Sheriffs are elected public officials unlike most other Law Enforcement cheifs and captains etc who are appointed by the city or what have you so Sheriffs often speak their mind because they're not afraid of political repercussions or getting fired because pretty much the only time you see them leave is if they lose their election

His reply was that was all the bullets they had. He went on to explain that the suspect had already murdered a deputy and was armed so no one was taking any chances.

Bowling etiquette is not to run up to throw your ball at the same time as someone in the lane next to you. Anyone who’s ever participated in a bowling league knows this. If it’s open bowling, a lot of casual bowlers don’t know this. It’s not worth the freak out that girl made it though. Whenever I would do open bowling, even if I was already ready to start my approach and some kid runs up in the lane next to me, I would wait for them to throw their ball.

Small world. The Soup splash happened at a restaurant in Temple Texas right across from where I'm at. The lady was arrested and given 7 days jail work. I think 8 months adjudication and a fine. She can't get in trouble anymore essentially or what she did will make it even worse.

I had to take several breaths after watching the lady that threw the soup. I can take verbal insults all day, but that is a no no. She wouldn't have made it out of that store still walking.

I've always heard that a judge can give up to 1 year for contempt. But running a search gets me different answers (up to 180 days). Contempt of court is a misdemeanor that can result in jail time. The court can order up to 180 days in jail for punitive contempt or use jail time as a remedy to compel compliance. The amount of jail time is at the discretion of the judge. Maybe I'm confusing 'contempt' with 'criminal' charges being added on top of the contempt charged? Either way, that's a long time to spend in jail for giving the Judge attitude.

911 is only for life-threatening and emergency situations. Her very call to 911 about the kid selling water was in fact a chargeable infraction as she was misusing the service. 911 is not for complaints, petty gripes, questions, and annoyances.

What usually happens most of the time is the judge lets them spend a night in jail to think about what they did, then after the person apologizes for their behavior the judge usually cuts them a break and releases them with time served. most judges understand that emotions can get involved, however, an individual who either refuses or doesn’t learn their lesson can spend a substantial amount of time in jail for contempt, if one day doesn’t induce penitence, it might require 5 or 10 days. 😁 “vee have vays of making you talk, vee surely do” 😏

Honestly, I feel judges that add multiple sentences just because they can are abusing their "authority." Ppl do have the right of freedom of speech so why care or take personal of what others say whether there are insults or not. So in my eyes in a way the judge of a Karen too.

Never understood how someone here in the US could get jail time for "contempt". What happened to free speech? We have a first amendment that protects us from government punishment for speech and yet here this guy is getting jail time for saying fuck.

What das video clip fails to show ist that her neighbors physically "attached" their fence to her fence which they can NOT do, as well das Woman's fence was constructed 1 foot back from her own property-line, so das couple who built their fence und "attached" it to das woman's fence...were building their fence over das property-line on her property which they can NOT do either. Das couple making that video clip are who was exceedingly wrong as well ignorant that they not even know where their own property-line ends. Das woman complaining should have filed legal action against das ignorant couple for das fence as well posting a video clip attempting to exhibit her character badly und claim her to be wrong when she was right.
