We got hit by a snowstorm that was largely not forecasted that brought freezing rain followed by wet heavy snow that snapped branches and entire trees and cut power to the entire island!
It is absolutely heartbreaking to see the damage. I totally feel for you. The weather has been so unsettled with hailstones every couple of days. Take care and hopefully the majority will bounce back even stronger.
Oh, man. Brutal. We had a little dusting on roof tops in Royal Bay (Colwood) but anything on the ground was green. This winter is sure a test to your resilience...
Oh man. I feel your pain. This is the sort of snow that I would always get in Portland. That heavy, crusty stuff. It even damages the native conifers. I would use a big push broom to knock of the ice and snow. Be careful with that pineapple guava, the wood is brittle so it’s be to let it melt. Again I feel your pain I’ve been there. Things will bounce back. One thing I will say is meteorologists on the west coast can’t predict the weather accurately.
Bummer I live about 30 minutes N. of Seattle and we had snow fall this morning for about 20 minutes. All melted now. Weren't we supposed to have an el nino winter. What happend to that.
