Some scenes in Toy Story 4 were painful to watch, like the first few minutes where Bonnie just forgets about Woody and I still can't get over that Andy gave up Woody to a child that doesn't even play with him.

In my opinion; it doesn’t matter how old you are, or how much compassion you have for kids... if a kid loses that toy you deeply loved as a kid, (that brings you memories, made you happy) then you’ll obviously regret giving them the toy. Specially because it wasn’t like she played a lot with Woody and lost him playing, no, she just simply didn’t care about it and that’s why she lost it. It’s very sad if I’m being honest.

Toy Story 5: Andy has his own kid now, and his kid finds woody in the amusement park

This makes me so mad because Bonnie was litterly about to cry when Andy was going to take him but when she gets woody she forgets all about him 🙄

Andy: "Hey Bonnie, are you still taking good care of your toys?" Bonnie: "Um... well I kinda lost Woody but at least I have Forky!" Andy: *snaps forky in half*

When Woody gave his voice box to that other doll Gabby that hurt me big time

I know Bonnie is a kid, but honestly... I have mixed feelings on the ending.

It was so heartbreaking when Bonnie lifted up Woody’s arm to wave goodbye but Andy didn’t. He couldn’t truly say goodbye. 😭😢😭

Andy: take good care of woody for me. Bonnie: no, i don't think i will.

What's more excruciatingly frustrating is that Bonnie literally neglected Woody over a dumb spork craft that has absolutely no value over THE last cowboy doll known to Andy and maybe his father who passed it down to him. I can see why Woody chose to leave his friends who already accepted their lives. Through Andy's heart, he saw a child that he could trust. But through Bonnie's head, she just sees more toys to keep and lose.

Honestly, Andy was a fool to give them to Bonnie. He should have kept toys that were THAT special to him for his own kids or the kids of a close family member. The toys were really important to him so it was really shortsighted to think that he wouldn’t wish he kept them to give to someone he loves, not a random little girl who is a complete stranger.

He should’ve just left them at home. Got them after college & used them for decoration in his own place.

Yeah that was my biggest problem with this movie. The fact that Woody was neglected and forgotten about by Bonnie really made me feel sorry for him. If I was Andy and I found out that Bonnie never took care of my favorite toy I would be very upset because that is like breaking a promise. I don't know what they were thinking. I hate to say this but Toy Story 4 is my least favorite movie out of all the Toy Story movies I've seen. I just felt disconnected.

I really hated Bonnie in the movie. As much as this is wishful thinking, I hope as a lost toy, Woody and Andy would cross paths again.

Honestly I'd rather pretend Toy Story 4 didn't happen. I hated the ending. There's no doubt in mind that Andy would've regretted giving Woody to Bonnie. Toy Story 3 was the perfect ending to series but they just had to go ruin it with a 4th movie.

Andy: (all grown up and with a kid of his own) Bonnie, where’s Woody? Bonnie: (now a teenager) Um.... And that’s how Andy went cross country with his family to search for his closest friend while he was growing up. “You’ve got a friend in me!!”

When I was a little kid, at least 3 years old, I had this little toy stuffed pig that I called Hamlet. I would take him everywhere with me as a child. Where ever I travelled, he was with me. I would show him all the sights I saw, and sleep with him at night. I'm 20 years old and I still have him on my dresser on display. I can hardly imagine ever getting rid of him, I love him too much. If I ever found myself in that situation Andy was in, giving my Hamlet to a kid I trusted, that I believed would've given Hamlet a kid to be played with and loved, only to find out they lost him and didn't care, I can't even imagine the heart break. So yeah I think Andy would be upset.

just imagine Andy coming by for a visit on summer break or whenever he comes home for a bit Andy: Hey Bonnie! Taking good care of my old friends? Bonnie: Yeah! (proceeds to show him the collection and explain all of their roles in the game) Andy: And what's the sheriff up to? Bonnie: I already told you what Jessie was doing Andy: I meant Woody Bonnie: Oh, uh, I think i lost him. Andy: ....what?

*Maybe the end credits scene should have been Andy going into the antique shop and finding Woody......*

As a mom I KNOW he would. When I was a teenager I gave my precious dolls to my little cousins. They played with them for a few months and then got rid of them. Now I have my own kids and I'm kicking myself for not hanging onto them. I would love to be able to give my daughters my dolls. 😭

So much for keeping that promise. I find the ending of Toy Story 4 similarly being sad to Toy Story 3, but very sad. The ending in my opinion marks Woody's retirement as a playable toy and he decided to spend this retirement with the love of his life and co.

You know, thinking about TS4, can we really say that ANY of the toys are really safe with Bonnie? She really doesn't appreciate the toys much. She could just as easily neglect them later on.

YES! It bothered me SO much that Bonnie just stopped caring about Woody. She WANTED Woody, & then she just doesn't care. If I had given up my most precious toy to a child, & they just tossed them aside like trash? I'd be upset for sure.

What if Woody ends up finding Andy, tho?

I think he would regret giving up Woody because his mom even said in Toy Story 2 to Al at the yard sale, “It’s an old family toy.” Besides that, it was mentioned in that movie a lot of times that Woody was rare and was valuable. Andy made a big mistake.

He'll regret giving Woody away when he finds out just how much he's worth and will continue to be worth in the future. XD I never really gave my toys away. Some of them are worth a lot now.

This kind of disrespectful nonsense is exactly why, as a married woman, my Woody and Buzz equivalents are still with me.

I did end up thinking that Andy shouldn’t have given up Woody-whom he had wanted to keep. I suspected that Jessie had become Bonnie’s favorite from the way she hugged her in Toy Story of Terror so I wasnt real surprised when Woody wasn’t her favorite but I was surprised that she didn’t even notice he was gone at the end of the movie. I think that Woody is a toy that will only ever have had one true owner and that was Andy, not Bonnie. I think it was more than finding Bo or feeling neglected by Bonnie-I think Woody found a new purpose in life trying to unite toys with new owners-probably from seeing how happy Gabby Gabby was to find an owner of her own. I wouldn’t mind them making another sequel where Andy finds him as a grown up and brings him home to his own children.

To be honest, I think Andy knew at the end, one way or another he would have to let Woody go. Just like the end of the 4th film, where Woody also realizes he has to let go.

Toy story 5: woody runs into Andy’s children and woody has to convince bo peep to stay with him.

Bonnie is basically an example of every children in this world :v Well, as we grow up we learn to either love our toys or donate them away. I still have my dog plushie :)

My theory is that Andy(or Andy’s child)ends up finding Woody one day about 10 years into the future. They take Woody and Bo home where they end up getting an owner and living happily ever after. I also believe that Andy’s child would find out the toys are alive and eventually ask them about Andy’s childhood.

I'd rather left them in the attic. Cause now we all know Bonnie is gonna disown all the other toys she's a lil evil Sid.

Something that keeps me from tearing up in toy story 4 is that Woody is physically lost, but mentally found

I really liked Toy Story 4 but the ending just didn’t satisfy me. I wish they stopped and ended the series at Toy Story 3. I remember one time where I was getting rid of this stuffed animal , it was so soft but I thought it was time to give it away , so I put it in a box 📦, but every time I saw the stuffed animal , I thought of all the fun times I had with it until I couldn't take it anymore ! So I snuck it out of the box and tucked it against my side and tried to sneek it into my room but then my mom caught me! Thankfully she let me keep it.

I like to imagine that Andy's going to a park or carnival, whether it be with a friend or with his own kid, and finding Woody and Bo Peep.

I haven’t watched the video yet but honestly I wish Andy had told Bonnie that he would be back for his toys back so that his future kids could have used them. Like I was so annoyed watching the movie like I liked it but I wished Andy got them back. But I’m glad woody is with his true love. I can imagine Andy coming to visit wanting to see woody only for Bonnie to say she lost him.

I should of known bonnie was never going to play with woody after everything she said my cowboy in toy story 3 & now she decides to not play with woody I never liked bonnie because she never played with woody

I think how it is, is that when Andy gave Woody away, he wasn't expecting Bonnie to hold onto Woody till he came back, he didn't even ask to keep them safe until he returned, he didn't ask her to take care of Woody forever, he just asked her to take care of them. In his own way, I think Andy just wanted Woody and the rest of his toys to have some more fun and joy in their lives after Andy couldn't give that to them anymore, and as he hadn't been giving them that for years, and he didn't want them to stick around for him forever, cause he felt that was selfish of him, to ask to always be there no matter what, even if he might not even come back, and I think Andy knew that Bonnie would give that joy to them as long as they needed, cause it's just like what Woody said in the first movie "the matter of the fact is that we're here for Andy when he needs us", and I think that's what it is that brings toys to life, whenever you need them, to be your friend, the right kind of friend, or someone who's just there for you, there they are. Andy knew that Woody was gonna be needed elsewhere when Andy didn't need him, and so Andy gave him to Bonnie, knowing Woody was gonna be there when Bonnie needed him, and the thing is, Andy also knew that Bonnie would be there when Woody needed her, and as it turns out, Andy was right. Woody didn't care about being played with that much anymore, sure he found it a little annoying, but he was fine, for now all he cared about was his mission, being there for Bonnie when she needed him, and during the movie, she needed him to get Forky back to her, and he did that, his purpose carried out. Bonnie had Forky, the right kind of friend who was there just when she needed him, and she didn't need Woody anymore, and Woody didn't need her, cause he had Bo, and Woody knew his friends would take care of him, and in truth, Woody wasn't completely right all those years ago when talking to Buzz, sure life isn't worth living without love, but it doesn't have to be from a kid, sure a kid's love is what gets it all going, but it can come from yourself, helping other toys feel loved while helping them making kids feel loved and helping them to start making memories with them, or from one toy who makes you feel different than any kid could. Also, in the end, if Andy did find out that Bonnie lost Woody, Andy will always remember Woody as being alive, and he will always be able to imagine, to believe Woody is out there, feeling joy, being ok, even if Andy can't see Woody as such, he will be satisfied with the time they had, knowing Woody was happy, probably is happy, and that's good enough for Andy. Also, even if Andy knew that Bonnie had lost Woody because he new favorite toy was a spork, Andy would understand why, because Andy knows Woody, and he knows that Woody will be there as long as you need him, no matter what, and he would know Woody was happy, and that Woody is happy now, because even if Woody isn't with Bonnie, if he isn't needed by her, then he's wherever he is needed, and wherever that is, he's making someone happy, and so Andy would know he's happy, and also, Andy would understand because Andy would see the exact same bond he and Woody had, in Bonnie and Forky, and Andy would know that Bonnie didn't have that with Woody, and Andy would know that at least for a while, Bonnie had done as he asked, and taken care of Woody, for as long as Woody needed it, and as long as Bonnie needed him. And the thing is, Andy will always regret giving Woody away, he will most certainly regret it if he learns of Woody getting lost, heck, everyone regrets those kinds of decisions, especially when learning things didn't go to plan, but it's something Woody and Andy understand, that he's just a toy, and even if Woody himself is gone, the memories and happiness will always be there, and that's it's all about right, for the toys to make the child happy, and I think my friends, that has been done here, Andy is happy, with the memories he has, knowing Woody was happy for a while longer, is probably still happy, because he is where he is needed, doing what he needs to, doing what needs to be done, making someone happy, Bonnie is happy, because she has the best friend for her to be friends with right now, someone who has the bond with her like Woody had the bond with Andy, and the toys are happy, and most importantly to Andy, Woody is happy, which is what I think we all are happy about, and really care about, the lonesome cowboy, finally with his lady at last, being the happiest he's ever been. Thanks for reading this, I hope you feel better about Toy story 4, and the toy's endings in general, but also about yourself, gaining a bit more closure for our friends, but also yourself, when it comes to finding new purpose, being right where your needed, and moving on, to new pastures

when i was bonnie's age i had a woody doll and i loved him because of the movies and like he had a pull string and everything

(I'm german) I would love the idea of Toy Story 5 because i was very unhappy about the ending of TS4. Maybe Andy finds out about the fact, that Bonnie lost/forgot about Woody. ~I don't really know, how i would write the storyline for this movie, so i just throw random things in no particular order in this round.~ After years of being a "lost toy", deep down in his heart, Woody misses Andy and a kid, which plays with him. He also misses his friends. Bo Peep understands his feelings. Bonnie gives away all her toys, because she doesn't care about them anymore. She is now a teenager. She doesn't have this strong bond with her toys like Andy did. All Toys of Bonnie and Andy are getting new and different homes/owners. Woody and Bo Peep decided to visit Bonnies, just to see how the old crew is doing and to find out about the fact, that all Toys are gone except for two Toys (maybe Buzz, which hangs in a tree for years, because Bonnie throw him up there and didn't find him anymore. And also one or two toys of Bonnie, which she also lost somewhere around the house) The three, or two last toys of Bonnie, are complaining, about how this girl has changed and just don't care about her toys anymore and treats them like trash. Together they are going on a mission, to find all the other toys. They find them all in different houses with different owners (maybe kids who just playing with cellphones or hanging infront of TV etc... To find all of them, it will be challenging and adventurous) This is getting to long... sry... I will stop here: Somehow all of Bonnies and Andys toys will find Andy or even his kids. Andys kids will play in the end of the movie with his and Bonnies toys and they will treat the Toys very well. Andy will be very happy to see Woody and all the other ones again. His kids will learn to always appreciate your toys and take good care of them. The End.

I agree with you on this issac andy would never be cold towards bonnie because she is a little girl after all and she's growing up and it's still sad how woody left his friends

toy story 5: (several years later) Woody found by a weary middle age man that looks tired from work.. Woody noticed a small smile from the man as if He remembered something good... The Man decided to bring Woody with him to give to his child.. The Man cleaned woody then out of nowhere the Man played with Woody childishly to Woody's surprise.. Then a child walks up to them to the Man's embarrassment... The Man gives Woody to the child, the child said Dad when are we gonna play again? the man sadly replied soon I promise, I just have work to do... Woody helped them behind the scene to fix their relationship.. Everything goes well showing and we see woody walking around the house happily, then He saw an old dusty photo behind the shelves, a photo of a familiar boy with a group of toys.. Woody shed a little tear then He looked under his boot revealing a almost faded name. then the Good ol' sheriff said Howdy Partner END

andy would be heartbroken bc bonnie promised that she would take care of him when he goes off to college!

There were two endings to this movie Official ending, Woody stays with Bo, this means Andy will be distort when he finds out Woody is lost and Bonnie’s parents feeling guilty for not looking after Woody Scrapped ending, Harmony finds Bo and makes her her toy, Woody goes back with Bonnie’s family but Woody and Bo might never be able to meet each other again No matter which ending was chosen, people would be left sad, either Andy or Woody and Bo, either way Bonnie wouldn’t be affected due to her not having that strong of a connection with woody and a much stronger connection with forky (one reason is that she has a stronger sentimental value with forky because she put in effort to make him)

Welp my toys are never leaving my possession until my kids reach a mature age

I feel like eventually Andy would go on eBay and see how rare and how much Woody dolls are worth and that’s when he’d REALLY regret giving him up.

I handed down my toys when I was twenty. (I know but I could not let go. Childhood trauma, they were my friends!) Warms my heart to see them being played with again. Some, have been lost. The kids admit to them going missing. I like to imagine my friends are still off having adventures, and found new kids to enrich their lives. You nailed 5his on the head man!

I have a teddy bear that I’ve been sleeping with since I was 8. Yes I’m a college student still needing teddy to sleep. I just can’t bear to part with my favorite toy that I shared a connection with my whole life. If I ever did give it away and find out this happened, I would have felt broken that it was gone

You know I literally thought the same exact question last week. If Andy loved toys so much then why would you give me the Bonnie?! His father gave them to him! His father that died! I’m so confused I am in and watch the video yet

I actually thought that Andy would be in the fourth movie somehow so sad to see that he wasn’t it would’ve been cool if the fourth movie instead of being about Bonnie was about his children I kinda feel like that would’ve made for a different and maybe even more interesting story

I hate Toy story 4 it hurt me how Woody was treated especially taking his voice box away 💔🙁

Bonnie loved Woody in the third movie, now she's forgotten him in the fourth. Woody was better of going to college with Andy. Hell, maybe Toy Story 5 should be about Andy finding Woody after he's done with college. Plot: He goes to that Carnival that Bow and Woody are at. Woody plays dead when he sees someone coming, then big reveal, it's Andy as a grown man. Andy looks under Woodys boot and sees Bonnie's name on it. He realizes that Bonnie either lost him, or she doesn't care about him anymore. He then decides to take him home to his house, where he became, whatever he wanted to become when he was in college. He puts him on his shelf and starts to remember the good times he had with him Other plot: We get an origin story to how Woody got into Andys life when Andy was a kid. Maybe Woody was given to Andy from his dad, which could explain why Andy loves Woody so much. Woody reminds Andy of his dad.

I thought bonni would hold on to woody, until andy had a son, and bonni would give andy son, his fathers toy :) I was wrong😛

Toy Story 5: A Toy Collector Story. Focus on Andy going back to see Woody and find out he's been lost and forgotten. Almost like the master from Brave Little Toaster; in the end Andy finds Woody and Bo and takes them home.

My friend and I use to be joking about Toy Story 4 existing when we were much younger, but I didn't think Toy Story 4 will ACTUALLY happen!

What will Toy Story 5 be about - Jessie having big trouble that Bonnie breaking Buzz by an accident. Andy's leaving College and becomes a Toy Designer. So they need to get back from the original owner. In the way that they find Andy, they also meet Stinky Pete in TS2, the little girl named Amy grows up and becomes Andy's love interest. On the other hand, Mrs. Davis wants to remarry a man that hates children and toys - Molly doesn't like the terrible person. Barbie and Ken try going back because she misses her. Woody, Bo Peep, Billy Goat, and Griff, Bunny, and Ducky find Andy and his new married wife Amy. They get into a cardboard box and use Bonnie's home address to send themselves to their new home. Andy doesn't know the truth, He gives them to their newborn son and daughter. Finally, Barbie meets Jessie. She helps to fix Buzz and gets back to Molly with Ken. Buzz and Jessie get together with Woody and Bo Peep. They all become Andy's children's toys.

I thought the fourth film had its high points but it did some things that really bothered me as well. In my opinion I think they should do another movie where Woody and Bo miss having a kid and somehow find their way back to andy when he has his own kids and reunite with the other Toys. Now that would be awesome.

When you mentioned giving away your ds lite, I remembered that I tried to sell my Gameboy Advance years ago, but my dad bought it so I would keep it! XD I'm glad I still have it.

Woody was so special to Andy because it was a gift from his father who died from (Polio-post polio syndrome) Andy's dad was also named Andy. Andy jr's dad was a huge fan of the Woody's Roundup at around 1950s. The Woody doll is one of a kind later on because he was the only doll that was ever made. The company thought that the doll itself wasn't going to be a hit....anyways Andy senior got the doll because he sent the company a letter that he wanted the Woody doll so bad. The company threw out the only Woody doll in the trash because spaceman toys was much popular now at that very time. The company's secretary felt bad for all the kids who wanted the woody doll so bad so she got the only Woody doll out of the trash, young Andy senior's letter stood out from all the other letters and that led him to getting the one and only Woody doll. He played with the doll when he was still young and locked them inside a trunk as he got older. He grew up and married the mom of Andy jr. He(andy jr's dad) got so ill and Andy jr was so upset so his dad got out a key from his old wallet to the trunk where Woody was and gave the key to his son Andy. When he was about to open it, Andy's dad died. Andy jr looked so much like his father when his father was still a young lad that's why the woody doll thought that it was the same Andy after being locked up and hidden throughout the years he didn't have a clue. His father told him before he died that Woody is going to be his best friend. And seeing the Woody doll for the first time made Andy happy. That's why Woody was so special to him, that's why he loved him so much. The name Andy on Woody's boot was actually the name of Andy's father. That is why he hesitated when he was about to give Woody to Bonnie, it's just sad. I saw the full story in a video that I found here on RU-vid ft. Mike Mozart. At first I thought it was a theory but it's actually a real story....

If they going to make toy story five they should show Andy return and woody find Andy.

I always thought Woody didn't actually want to get into the box with the other toys, but instead had no time to get back into Andy's college box. Thats why he was at the bottom of the box to not be seen and Woody just went with it.

I remember seeing this ten years ago with my first love in theatres. WE BOTH BALLED OUR EYES OUT.

Andy did lose Woody when he was younger so I'm certain he knew how Bonnie might've felt when it happened to her too. It happened to me years ago and although I no longer have a lot of things from my childhood I still can smile knowing that they had a place in my heart.

I actually had a similar experience to what happened with Andy and Woody. I had a small brown stuffed rabbit I named coco and I had decided to give him to my younger cousin. While coco wasn't my favorite toy, he still had some special memories. So about a year ago when I was heading out to college, I had message my cousin and aunt about getting coco back, but also saying that they don't have to since I had given my cousin ownership of coco. I found out though, that they had given coco away years before since my cousin had moved on from him. It hurt and I do regret that I gave coco away. I had apparently even threatened to never talk to my cousin if something when I gave him away. It did hurt and take sometime to move on. Honestly I see this as a lesson because my toys are precious to me and I plan to keep them for my future kids. Still it was a lesson I think I needed to learn about giving stuff away.

OK I’m not gonna lie to you I literally cried my eyes out in the movie theater at the end of Toy story three😭

Bonnie seems like the sort of kid who would pull an Emily with her toys. Andy was just extraordinarily responsible with his toys.
