I have tried dried mealworms and crickets - BRBQ flavoured (gag!)! Not by choice but because my daughter dared me to. Got them down but HARD NOPE!!

I can't say I've ever eaten anything untoward INTENTIONALLY. However, growing up Soviet, who knows what was in those hot dogs? Seriously - there is no telling. Rumors included (but weren't limited to) worms, rat meat, cockroaches, etc.

I've eaten crickets (like dried food safe crickets) and the worst part By Far is the legs continuing to feel like insect legs. I'm not saying I'm stronger than you, necessarily. Just that I think I could definitely handle this. It doesn't have legs.

I think its sad that they mess up a product like this so hard. Why make a product taste bad when trying to introduce a new unusual ingredient like this in parts of the world where insects as food is weird. I've eaten meals where insects were an ingredient and they tasted good. Kudos for trying at least! Love the whimsical leaves around your kitchen!

I went without a meal for 3 days during survival training because I refused to eat a grasshopper. Mostly because they wanted us to either muck it down still alive or beh3ad it and then give it all a good chew, and I found it an unnecessary loss of life. So, contest of wills with the threat of not getting provisions....but as a college student, 3 days without food was a walk in the park. 😅 As for your bug-ers, I think even if we didn't know what was in them, if it was a smell and texture issue, we would have the same aversion. At least you can say you tried.

So I grew up on a farm between riding the tractor and horses I have unwillingly eaten bugs! Maybe with like a whole bottle of ketchup on the patty. I would gladly give you a hug as life is hard and sometimes a hug can help bunches!

We're already eating them. You know how many insect are ending up in our groceries? Of course we don't see them, they're grinded up. Look up acheta domesticus for example. Sweets, snacks and backed goods you name it.

Sad to say ive eaten ceral with meal worms. Always a bit upsetting. My Grandmother was given hot ceral in bed one morning. My brother picked out the worms. Whih he said when she was half done. Her response was well more protien. I turned aroud gaping at him. I announced i made the juice and coffee. Stewart you proved you are a boy today. Both my brothers and sons have eaten worms or ants because someone else promised to give them money. Ok i am only guilty of talking one brother into it. I got a good case of guilt and begged him not to eat them ant. I think that seeing me creaped out only encouraged him. 😅

I saw a video of this fella once, he had eaten too much meat or something (stomach had swollen) cant remember what exactly. I think he was a body builder, and ended up on the operating table. The surgeon removed a massive amount of what looked like literal garden worms from inside him. It was grim and absolutely stomach churning. The video is prob here on YT. No amount of money could make me eat anything that has a face.

What I don't understand is Why would you add the bugs to a fake burger... the whole point of mushing up the bugs and stuff in the food is because they're extremely high in protein. It's not vegan or vegetarian friendly because it was still alive... so why take the meat out of the burger and make it flour and bug... Why wouldn't they just add worms and crickets to a normal burger... made from meat.... It just doesn't seem logical... Not only would you increase the protein content by adding it to actual meat but It would also hide the flavor 🤦... It does not make sense to me 🤷
