Nice handpan. My friend is one of the best handpan makers in the world and I have been playing this unique instrument for 20 years. So here’s a free tip for you. It’s supposed to be played in your lap and using your hands/fingers. That way you get the proper sound and resonance and you get more of the healing vibrations in your body and mind. Having it on the ground away from you and using sticks create seperation, poor sound, less resonance and minimal healing vibration. Keep on rocking in the free world, goddess✨✌️
Thank you, I actually also play it by hand but can't be heard much, not loud enough but I'll try to upload using my hand. I find both ways are soothing. That's amazing you got a friend like that, thank you sooo much.
@@expatguideph That’s a common misconception and beginner mistake. It is in fact much much louder using your hands. You just need to learn the right technique. This involves 3 steps. Here’s the first. Most people experience what you are describing that it’s not loud enough using your hands and that’s because you are touching the handpan for too long which results in stopping the sound vibration and muting the sound. The right technique is to hit and touch the handpan like it’s burning hot so you only stay in contact for a millisecond which makes the sound vibration ring and the sound to be as loud and clear as it is supposed to be. The second step is to hit exactly on the right spot on the handpan, on the note. Just a millimeter to the left or right will make the sound weak. The third step is how you hit. Use the fleshy pad of your thumbs and the first fleshy pad of your first and second finger. And just tap very firm but fast. Bounce off the handpan immediately. Don’t rest the hands or fingers on the handpan at all. Then there will be almost no sound. If you apply these three steps and practice then you will be mindblown by how much loud sound and music that will come out of your instrument. And how do we get good at anything? Practice, practice, practice. And most importantly, practice the correct way. There are not many good tutorials on this on youtube so I recommend that you invest in some of the online courses made by the best handpan players in the world so you will learn the correct technique and get the most out of your instrument and playing. A real handpan costs between 1000 and 5000 USD, so it’s worth it to invest just a few hundred dollars in an online course by some of the best players in the world who can teach you to bring out the magic of this amazing instrument. Just google handpan courses and find a teacher who is a master at playing and that you resonate with. Good luck with your playing!😊
Wowww, amaaaazing details you put here, I enjoy reading and will practice this later. I agree on investing a Mentor for it, thank you sooo much for all of these input and suggestions, appreciate you 🙂🙂🙂
