Thanks, I've got the Note 20 Ultra 5G. I was going to upgrade, but I'm not a gamer. It bothers me that Samsung will stop security patches on a perfectly capable phone. I used to upgrade due to burn in, but using Dark Theme and periodically moving apps to different areas results in zero burn in. I also set the battery limit to 85% capacity.
I am still using my Galaxy Note 10 plus and nothing is wrong with it! Such a good device in 2024. The Phone handels every task and you can be productive too. The S24U is better for sure, but the difference of speed on these devices, are not that big.
@@birdmankelhonestly I could care less about updates to tell you the truth I avoid updates as much as possible. Updates have always had a history of just messing up devices to get new ones. Have had no problem with the note 10+ use it as a video editing and production
Totally agree,, I was about to upgrade to S23 Ultra but definitely I won't, I decided to keep my amazing Note 20 Ultra, it still has amazing features, actually I bought a 1T gb micro sd and it has now enough storage, my Note 20 Ultra takes amazing pictures, videos and the display is even bigger than Note 10 +, S21, S22, S23, and S24 Ultra,
Rocking the S22 Ultra and it's not just a No it's a HELL NO. 👎 Maybe next year. Upgrading phones every year is definitely a thing of the past. For reasonable people anyways.
NGL, I came from the Note 10+ and my first impression with the S24 Ultra was not much has changed aside from the camera hardware and software. Using the device for two days.
You've had it for 3 weeks now. Was it worth it? Watching all these videos says no its all the same. Wanted to think it was better in video and photo taking but looks similar. I still have my note 10+ wonder if worth $700
With how much samsung is charging for the s24 ultra they might as well put a aux jack and micro SD expansion in it, and a fast charging brick. Great video Matthew
I'll consider trading the S22U for it. Holding onto the S23U, S21U, and Note 20U until they die. Looking forward to your video on the phone though, thermals and real world battery usage are what I'm interested in. And of course the camera comparison 🔥
Eh, I have the S21 Ultra. I think it still works good for me. I would have upgraded to the S23 Ultra when they were offering like 700 for the S21U. Sadly, I didnt have money then and now its down to like 200. Of course, I have the money now.
Until samsung changes the design ill stick with the s21 ultra. The design been the same since the note 10 plus. AI for my personal opinion is a gimmick
I just ordered the 1TB version. Upgrading from the S10+. If I didn't crack my screen which has started acting funny I wouldn't have bothered. Weak excuse since I could have replaced the screen but there you have it.
No way I say goodbye to my S21 Ultra. Best phone I have ever owned. I will hold onto it for as long as I can. Pound for pound the best phone for your money! Crazy that you can get the S21 Ultra for a few hundred bucks! Better that than robbing a bank for the S24 Ultra ha ha
I upgraded from the Note 20 Ultra to the S24 Ultra. With both phones next to each other, I can barely tell a difference. I should have held out longer.
Yeah the trade in deals really aren't as good as they sound when they're charging nearly $1500 for the phone itself. With my $400 credit for my S21+, stacked education/military discount, and the $120 promo it's still over $900 after tax. That's a big hell no lmao. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for a pre owned S23 Ultra on eBay.
I pre-ordered the S24 Ultra. My Note 10+ has cracked glass across the rear camera. The rear camera cuts out all the time and I can't take pictures. The battery is getting weak and my stylus doesn't connect to the phone anymore. I pre-ordered it back in 2019 and loved this phone, but I think it's time.
I don't think we are going to see a significant jump in how crazy phones will get until like 4 or 5 years from now when the generations/tech are just different
I'm still using S Note 10+ no issues even battery life is still great doesn't last over day full usuage but able to use over 13 hours. Connection of 4LTE connection is working so much better than @ 2019 when I used it. I guess 📱 carrier improved connection. Oh yeah since Ur in US of A when your phone carrier is Pink carrier and 2 years ago made 🤝 with Elons SpaceX SAT connectivity deal. You would be in heaven with 5G phones with Pink carrier. As soon as T pink start to go live connection on SpaceX SAT. Then I will switch 2 Samsung S24U. Until then I will keep my Note 10+ with Spigen armored case.
Tbh it’s really disappointing that they don’t come with expandable memory and I’m considering switching to a Sony phone that has expandable memory and a headphone jack.
I have note 10 plus and I decided to get the new s 24 ultra. I pre-ordered so I'm getting the 512 gb version for the same price as the 256gb . I'm excited to get this new phone . My battery is pretty bad now on this phone and also like the better screen quality. I chose the titanium gray thought it looked the most premium. I considered the violet ,but had to go with the more conservative look. I'd like to know what everyone else is deciding to do let me know. Have a great day and God bless.
I have the s21 ultra and i would have kept it, but my screen is very cracked from a drop on a bumpy parking lot😅 and it happened close enough to the relase where i would rather just upgrade than pay to fix the screen. And i got a decent trade in price. But i would love to have been able to keep my phone and get the new one
I'll definitely stick with the S23U. I don't like the frame around the display on the S24U at all. And otherwise - AI? They write that on their vacuum cleaners too (honestly). Then I'd have to pay 700 euros more. Nope. I'd buy a second smartphone for that money. I get a flagship from the Chinese.
I don't see Samsung sticking to that when Google doesn't charge and Apple is gaining market share. I also think third party apps will make it more necessary not to charge. RU-vidrs need to call them out on it so they change their mind.
What is that AI stuff? Do we really need S24 series to use that AI stuff? Can s23U and s22U get that AI stuff in software updates? Or That AI stuff is the special feature for S24 series and the future phones?
Hell no, Im still keeping my note 10 plus. I just got it last year before new years. Its still the largest flagship with the most stock ram. and has dual sim, the largest screen to body ratio. but also, it generally just runs most apps I throw at it, if you guys wanna know hear me out I do not play fortnite much, but it can run high settings at 60FPS constantly on "Low power mode" and epic just stutters too much, another thing is that its ram is actually ballin and you can halve the screen resolution for more battery. its generally the one with the most features. I suggest buying the American version of it, the canadian version is slightly slower. I also absolutely fucking love the pictures and how different it looks. and fun fact, the Note 10 plus is actually pretty damn good, theres not much games I found where it lags. Due to Wifi 6 compatibility and its dual sim 5G setup, It can either take 1 sim card, and 1 micro sd card, or swap that sd card out for a sim card. if u do buy one watch a video first on how to force android 12 onto it as the updates don't support it, and it also has android 12 its just really tedious to get it from 10 out the box to 12.
Want an ultra because of sattelite connectivity for hiking but too expensive to replace my garmin sat communicator. Will stay with my note 10 plus for another generation or 2 when it becomes a normal price.
As a user of s10, I dont actually need another phone. But S24ultra has been really promising and I would like to upgrade for all the new AI features and easiness to use.🎉🎉
One more thing I appreciate that you say there is basically no need to upgrade some dudes are gonna push that upgrade, they will say we'll the S23 Ultra is starting to fade out so it's gonna be a good upgrade blah blah
coming from a s23 ultra is definitely not worth it but for me with a note 10+ with a weak battery & no security updates it's a go for me...$800 plus $150 in accessories is a no brainer upgrade
I picked up a new 512 gb for 13 dollars a month for 36 months. I traded in a broken flip phone. Can't wait till it comes in. I'm currently using a note 10 plus
I am in serious consideration of finally switching my Note 10 Plus to the S24 Ultra. What is anyone's thoughts on this? I take a lot of photos and record videos and do a lot of editing. I travel, i go to concerts, i sell products and post them online, i play a lot of games, I'm pretty much on my phone lots of times.
trading in my note 10+ for the s24 ultra..should be here sat. $800 with the trade in & $150 worth of accessories is a no brainer to me especially with my battery not lasting all day & no more security updates
Yep, I got my S24 Ultra yesterday. I've been waiting on that flat display. I had the Note 10+, but I couldn't see the screen outdoors here in sunny SE TX. My S22 Ultra does the "Circle to Search" but it's Not Circle & most all Samsung devices already do this. Just go into your gallery, choose a photo, click on an object & then click the "eye icon" top right. You'll get the same results! I only upgraded because my carrier offered me $800 in a pre-loaded visa card that i can use for anything or towards the price of the phone, which is what i did. Plus a few other perks. Once you get a hold of that bright Display? You won't wanna go back! My S22 Ultra battery took a hit from the last update also but again, I wanted that flat display.
@@soiceyboy33Spectrum mobile is offering $700 in their advertising. Yet someone traded in the s22ultra and got over $800. Its so tempting to consider i just know there is no going back if end up the same.
I'm trading in my Note 9 for the S24 Ultra. Its been 5 happy Years with the Note and sadly its that point where I must say good by to it. The S24 isn't a perfect upgrade, as I would have liked to have : 1. a 16GB RAM option 2. a 2TB option 3. Retained the Expandable storage if they weren't going to offer a 2TB Option. 4. Retained a Finger print reader. But despite the above things being missing I'm happy and excited to be move to a new phone after half a decade. 😂❤😊
I always used to upgrade my phones,I have the Pixel 8 pro and the 7 pro the S23 Ultra,IPhone 15 PM,A pixel 7a so bottom line I have a lot of devices and I just don't see me doing this any longer,I see if your a content creator in the cell phone genre but I'm not anymore shit too much samm cash😅
How much longer does the s20 ultra have security updates for ? That's literally the only reason I'm upgrading its a lame because i love the s20 ultra so much because of the micro sd card expansion and the 6'9 screen but i download alot of stuff so i don't feel comfortable with no more security updates
Yeah that's the main reason I go with Samsung or pixel is the update cycles are super important. If you're not a power user, sounds like an A54 would be a safe bet but idk. I'm leaning towards an S24 + or if not a refurbished S23 would be fantastic!
@micahjohnson9184 i think I'm going with the s24 ultra 1tb lol I'm a power user and download alot of stuff. Only reason I'm upgrading is because the s20 ultra is basically on its last legs when it comes to security updates. I don't care that it stopped getting main os updates but if it still had security updates for years tp come then i would of stayed on the s20 ultra. S20 ultra still currently hassecurity updates but for how long ? Think about this year its done since samsung didn't give the new policy on the s20 line unfortunately
@@Mike-t5r9q Same!! And I was thinking the same, but then I saw how similar the S24 plus was to the Ultra and for $300 not much of a difference but it's still a great choice! My main criteria is power and longevity. An S23 refurbished with a good amount of storage is perfect in my eye. Unfortunately yeah this is the last year of security updates for the S20 ultra. They did Honor the 5-year security update cycle. Although OS updates are important as well because some apps don't work without certain new OS versions. My current device is the pixel 6 I've had it since launch a great device, it's great on the software side, but it's been a tough journey hardware wise.
