The Harbor Freight Tire Changer isn't easy to use, but this time it worked perfectly. We don't even have it mounted to the floor. We're using some plywood and 2x4 to keep it steady on the ground.

Im using mine right now to mount 18" all terrain tires for my Ford Flex. I going to do the duck bill mod to it soon to make it easier. But those things are well worth it. Team it up with the bubble balancer with some boxes of weights and the pliers and you don't have to rely on shops all the time.

NICE!!! Will have to try out the bubble balancer and box of weights. Labor for tire is crazy expensive these days. Also our local dump takes old tires from home owners too.

I bought one from Harbor Freight. 😅I had a Devil of a time mounting the new tire. The mounting tool isn’t shaped right. It doesn’t work very well. If notice in the video you don’t see him mounting a tire, just taking it off. That’s the easy part.

Waaaa, mount is wayyyy easier. You just get some lube and slap it on at an angle using your body weight. Just didn’t hit record when putting on the new tire 🤣🤣🤣

Hello is that tire tool machine bolted to 2by4 bolted to cement or freestanding on the 2by 4

Bolted to a 3/4 inch piece of plywood and through some 2x4 as well 👍

@@cecilb3216 yeah, we didn’t want to go that route not knowing if that’s where we wanted the tire changer to alway go when we want to change some tires. Mounting it this way does make things a bit more challenging with the bead breaker. It kind of sucks, so you’ll want to stiffen it with more bolts/plates if you can.

How many tire changes do you get per machine?

@@MrM6d great question. So for larger 17in wheels you need to beef the bead breaker up. It will need better bolts and some support added between the plates of the bead breaker pedal. Other than that the rest of the rig works continuously fine. Just get yourself a pry that doesn’t scratch rims 👍
