I deliver for a miller distributor and we have 3 day weekends, good pay and benefits, we don’t stock or rotate anything in our stores just drop and go. I’m a young guy and I love it definitely not for everyone though.

Union Beer Driver here. Thanks for this video and commentary Anthony! It also depends on the state you live in. I’m in Minnesota, so we do not deliver to DGs, our convenience stores only sell 3.2 beer as well which makes it easier. We only deliver “full strength” to bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and grocery stores that have a separate liquor location outside of the store - Target Liquor, Cub Foods Liquor, Costco, Sams. Thanks again!

Great video, thanks mate! I’m starting in beverage delivery in a few weeks, based in Sydney, Australia, 15 deliveries per shift, 10-12 hour shifts, $36 per hour for first 8 hours and then one and half for first two hours and double time for the last two hours. I’ll have an assistant so hopefully it’s not too bad, don’t know how it works here with stacking shelves or whether we don’t do it, will find out soon and update! Cheers 🚛

So true about your trainer. I drove for Pepsi for about 2 months. My trainer would bitch and complain about everything I did. I had to wake up at like 3am and was stuck in the truck with this dude for 12+ hours a day constantly wining in my ear about my driving, how long I’m taking, etc. He annoyed the shit out of me and I wanted to sock him up so I just quit one day hahaha. Fuck all that. Let me do my job in peace man damn lol

A 12 hour day driving a truck, racing that HOS clock, goes by a lot faster than 12 hours working in a warehouse, or on an assembly line with a supervisor looking over your shoulder all day...

Mannnnnn... Im doing beer delivery now. It fucking sucks but im just getting my experience. I was at coke for 4 days and the trainer i had was terrble. He was very aggressive and very condescending. It destroyed my confidence sometimes so I just left that bullshit. Getting my 6 months then trying to get into food service. Great video.

Question when you load up your dolly cart with boxes to bring into the customers freezer do you just pull the dolly from under the boxes and leave them the same way you stacked it in the first place or do you have to then move every box again off the dolly? if you understand what I’m saying? Because that means you have to move each box twice essentially if that’s the case

I worked at Pepsi for about 10 days. And there's no such thing as a trainer, you're just put with an experienced driver.
@imanthonytv
@imanthonytv 2 года назад
Well that’s the training process at most companies. The experienced driver is usually asked to train the new employee so essentially he’s the “trainer”.

Hell na bro lol food service is definitely easier. I was at golden brands (coors light ) and now at Sysco. Man if u think stocking a 200-300 case stop in a small ass cooler is easier then food service you out your mind lol. Now In my area I did hear that one of the locations for beer as a union and they don’t stock nothing just drop the stuff like food service. In that case it can change things because digging in foodserve can be hell and you do get a lot more stops.
