I will give thanks to you O Lord, for although you were angry with me your anger turned away and you comforted me. I will trust and will not be afraid …
Nightcrawler being a christian is not his entire being, it’s but a part of what makes him admirable as a man. Will always be one of my favorite childhood heroes.
It's what gave him meaning in life and helped him find a godly future as well but it's ruined already now thanks to Disney. I fact, I haven't seen him mention God or Jesus in future adaptations.
@@JMM777-td6nk that's what I'm saying. The original comment is saying something akin to "Christianity is just a cute little accessory to nightcrawler's identity, it's not actually everything"
@@DoctorDewgongamen brother, God is not just something we push aside, never think of and only ask of something whenever we need him, to us, God is the very foundation of our being, and our reason for living, without Him, we would be lost in the darkness.
I'm 100% sure not even X-men 97 wouldn't do a moments like these between Logan and Nightcrawler and wouldn't dare have an ending like this one had with Logan in church
Thanks for sharing this! GOD Bless! For those interested, at the end of the video, Logan (Wolverine), is reading ISAIAH Chapter 12, Verses 1 to 2, from The Bible. (1). And thou shalt say in that day: I will give thanks to thee, O Lord, for thou wast angry with me: thy wrath is turned away, and thou hast comforted me. (2). Behold, God is my savior, I will deal confidently, and will not fear: O because the Lord is my strength, and my praise, and he is become my salvation.
@@minusone7529 It's okay because Stan Lee the creator of many Marvel comics was Jewish. Jesus is the King of the Jews. Blessed are those who bless the Jews. God Bless Marvel Comics because at it's core it's a Jewish company.CHRIST IS KING
They are very good, especially the one on john bunyan. I also grew up on the dreamer play and also the purple puzzle tree stories. That was back in the late 70"s and early 80's. Times have changed , thanks be to Jesus he is the same yesterday today and forever.
I’ll remember as a kid I thought god is real or not when I was a teenager I started giving up on god because my abuses step father hurt me and tried to kill me cause my mother didn’t do nothing be watching so I’ll faith

@apubakeralpuffdaddy392 I actually already replied to you over a week ago but because RU-vid does not believe in equal speech and regularly targets skeptics of Christianity, they erased my reply. Please search a phrase like 'YHWH is a Canaanite God'
The soul is born in heaven but is born from God our Heavenly Father, there’s a difference between the world and God, power is limited but strength is eternal through and from our Heavenly Father, nothings ever a quisadence or an accident instead planned and tested on what type of light we’ll become, no matter how many years go by, this episode shows light, amen to all, faith is strong💛❤️♾️✝️🙏🏽🕊️🔥☀️⭐️
I remember this episode. Although the idea of mutants seen in marvel and X-men stem from nephilim, the idea that struggling with God, the Christian God, was discussed on a ‘children’s’ cartoon is amazing. It’s not perfect, but then again neither are we.
I think the beauty behind this is that somewhere out there, is someone just as tough and hardened as Logan who beleived he "lived for too long and did too much", and who did eventually repent and find trust in the Lord again.
What?! No. The idea stemmed from Stan Lee wanting a shortcut to explain away their powers so he didn't have to keep coming up with weird excuses like random lab accidents and arachnid bites and weird gamma radiation etc. Plus, the concept of superpowered individuals predates Christianity by hundreds of years.
@@AGNOSTIC_incomprehensibleXIV wrong about what? You dont even understand the word i used do you.. nephilim. Demi human. Mutants. The fact that this episode goes into tha context of God either abandoning mutants or Nightcrawlers faith that God is faithful explains exactly what i said in my first comment. It applies to myself, and maybe to you as well. Its not just Stan Lee, these ideas are thousands of years old, and even both marvel and DC use actual pagan beings that of course are historically older
The scene at the end of this video is Wolverine's greatest moment in the history of his character because it was the scene where he surrendered himself to God.
He was raised catholic in Quebec before Canada was a country. He saw the deaths of his parents, and had many reasons to question the faith that was taught to him as a child. He needed to find his own faith, first in himself.
Didn’t he say “don’t you think I’ve tried.” I mean, heck being almost immortal would make you question a lot. Not really being able to die and cross over, hard to reconcile.
@@fumarc4501we all need to find our own faith. Being raised in a Christian home doesn't make someone a Christian. We should all seek the truth and examine our beliefs for ourselves otherwise it was never really our own beliefs but something that was taught by our parents, friends, etc. The Truth will stand any genuine inspection.
3:29 looks at the better side of the situation, lifts the mood of his team, prioritizes the preservation of life, understands God is always with us and not kept in a house, and starts his dear friend on the path of salvation in a way Logan is comfortable with. Nightcrawler is an example for any follower of Christ to strive for.
Praise be to Jesus Christ who has come to 2.5 billion people. His work is never ending and his mission is still strong. He comes to all humankind and died for us all. Blessed are those who believe who have not seen.
There are those of us who still value honor. Whenever I have done something for another I get a strange look. I tell that one " There are a few gentlemen left in the world. I just don't know where they all are. "
I wish more religious stuff was shown in shows like this. The faiths can be Abrahamic, Dharmic, Oriental, Pagan, Gnostic ect. As different as they all are, they still all ultimately have the same message, which is peace. You don't see religious stuff in kid's shows like this anymore and they really should bring them back.
I’m not a Christian either too but ppl keep on telling me bless be thankful when I was a kid I lost in faith to god because of abuse by my step father who kept on hitting every day and night cause I was nothing like his son or his other children because of my disability because I’m special needs does mean he treated me like nothing but garbage
@@BiggTswanim so sorry that happened to you. I too have been through abuse, and its as Nightcrawler says in this episode.. pain either drives us to seek God or drives us away. Choose God friend, God bless you
Just know that Jesus loves you brother, and just as Logan saw through different eyes and opened himself to Christ if you do the same Christ can save you just as he did with Wolverine in this scene. I pray you find the Lord man. Blessings to you and all love.
Yes the Bible is a manual there is God who created the earth and everything in it,the son who was sent in the form of a baby,Jesus to save us from our sins and the holyspirit he is with us and gives us the strength to endure good and bad he was sinless so he absorbed all the bad things the anger the hatred, and took it to the cross so now he is the bridge between God and us its thanks to Jesus we can get to God he was the sacrifice before Jesus came the Old Testament they would sacrifice animals a perfect lamb to take to the altar to speak to God , but after Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross you say psalms23 and just speak to him SINCERELY and he will hear you ,he is like the wind you can’t see but you can feel it that’s why it’s called faith it’s a inner PEACE that the world could be chaotic but you just know that you’re going to be OKAY because Jesus got you and the Bible is just a reinforcement and records of how God saved man over and over and even though he slows to anger he’s quick to forgive all he has is that you TALK to him and spend time with him it’s not always easy but if Jesus can make time for you it can be reciprocated he doesn’t want perfection but just progression and for you to try he LOVES you no matter what…
Me personally, im an atheist and dont usually much care for religion in shows and movies, but for shows like this, i have an actual liking for it. And nightcrawler and daredevil are 2 of my favorites. Nightcrawler is the kind of person i wish people in general would be more like. Hes not aggressively religious, and he is just a good person. From how ive seen Christians operate, it made me become atheist. But nightcrawler is way better than that. Of course, hed still apply his religion but its only to help people see a different perspective in a healthy way. Thats what i wish people did, instead of making it something youd have to do.
Even if religion or Wolverines faith never came up again in the series the fact that this would even be a thing in a kids show is intriguing. Theres definitely no way such a thing would be created in todays environment.
@reverendcoffinsotherson5807 Not at all. It's wonderful news. Persecution is a recurring theme within the X-Men and ultimately, no religion has created more persecution than Christianity so it makes little sense for this show to be putting Christian propaganda. And yes, had you not said anything to me on my thread, I probably wouldn't be replying to you here. Maybe next time you should keep quiet Lol.🤫
Too bad the new Deadpool Wolverine movie is completely opposite of this. It's filled with blasphemy and even Antichrist /New World Order symbolism most aren't catching because it's absorbed in all the 4th wall breaking and double meanings on the surface already paired with the Fox era mutant surprise returns. Even the use of child trafficking pagan Madonna's song Like a Prayer was used symbolically, not randomly. Everything in that movie was carefully planned. The only reason Jay Z music is in that movie is because he's part of "the club" now. They're all in it . I don't watch TV, but later at dinner I saw something on TV where we were at that had Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani all singing in a lounge with red curtains and masonic black/white floors similar to the black lodge from Twin Peaks. Gwen, Snoop are confirmed on Epstein List. All of them multi genre backgrounds yet all followers of Alesiter Crowley and Lucifer. I have studied religions and the occult for over 25 years. They're in it. And all of it is Jesuit created and owned. All roads lead to Rome. So thank Ryan Reynolds, the latest favorite wizard of Hollywood, for trashing Wolverine character with blasphemy and perversion. I bet lukewarm Christians are using this clip to justify endorsing that movie instead of seeing the obvious contrast. And those would be the weaklings that let the infiltration in and overthrow of Western civilization.
I highly recommend Dr. Michael Heiser for those still seeking clarity. don't let others confuse you with their cherry picked resources. study it yourself and seek wisdom from an actual biblical/historical/science scholar.
No this show wasn't Biblical. Nightcrawler was just one character and I don't recall seeing Wolverine or Rogue demonstrate religious tendencies again. Plus evolution seems to be a fact in this universe and I think Professor X was an atheist or agnostic. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but wasn't the whole point of the X-Men to create stories about marginalized people who are different (including the LGBT community)? I think there was even a Republican legislator who compared the transgender community to 'mutants' from the X-Men.
No, the whole point of the X-Men was so that they didn't have to create origin stories for the heroes, they were just born that way. Stan Lee said that he heard someone tell him about that concept and that it was the furthest thing from his mind.
@@AGNOSTIC_incomprehensibleXIVDude. Nightcrawler converted Wolverine into a Christian. It’s okay to have differing views once in a while, even if that view makes you uncomfortable. Besides to me the real beauty of this scene was turning someone who was cynical without a doubt who lived and been dragged through the shit in more ways than one, find hope. It’s unthinkable. That’s why it’s just so powerful.
Almost all positive portrayals of Christianity in movies and shows are Catholics. Almost every negative portrayal of Christianity in movies and shows are Protestant. Keep that thought as you watch things. Much love friends, stay vigilant Jesus Christ is King
