WrestleMania 22 (2006) Review 

Great show, kinda better than 21 but I mostly liked WM21 because it predicted the future and changed the landscape of professional wrestling, and 2006 is a fun year for the WWE! RAW was great but was mostly terrible, SD was good and the product is underrated. The opener of the show is passable, The MITB ladder match was lit and people were chanting "ECW" and rooting for RVD to win, Shelton Benjamin was athletic, the young talent were putted up, & WHY Ric Flair in a f**king MITB ladder match?! He's been in classic steel cage matches, royal rumble matches, "I Quit" matches, a last man standing match with Triple H at Survivor Series '05, a TLC match with Edge this past year, so many brutal and bloody matches of his career, but why the money in the bank ladder match? None other the less, people were falling off of ladders and Rob Van Dam did the whole F'N frog splash off the ladder and he won MITB and people were happy see Van Dam as Mr. Money in The Bank. JBL gets the better of Chris Benoit to take the U.S. title, MOTN is the hardcore match between Edge and Mick Foley and WWE is turning WrestleMania into a hardcore-wrestling show and Edge is having one of his best years early of his career since he cashed in MITB on a voluble Cena at NYR to become the WWE champion. That spear through a flaming table launches Edge to become a bigger star, Boogeyman/Booker & Sharmell is easily the worst match of the night. Trish/Mickie is good and Peacock and the WWE network had to blur out the inappropriate moment, the story of Mickie James as the biggest fan of Trish Stratus was so damn underrated and it leds up Mickie James to win the Women's title, the casket match is passable and it should took place on SmackDown, not WrestleMania. The No Holds Barred match was entertaining. HBK destroys the sh*t out of Mr. McMahon (who vows to make Shawn's life a living hell.) Shawn performed an elbow drop onto Vince while he's in a trash can, off the top of high ladder and through a table was the highlight of the match. The world heavyweight championship triple threat match is good and fun to watch, Rey Mysterio becoming the world heavyweight champion is the greatest moment of his underdog career, skip the playboy pillow fight, and the main event, Cena/HHH is great, that Triple H king of kings entrance is yours truly a 10/10. Fun fact is CM Punk made his first WM appearance during John Cena's chicago entrance with a tommy gun. The Chicago crowd dislikes Cena and rooting for Helmsley to win the championship, Triple H carried the main event, taunting Cena and mocking him and does the DX crotch chop, and the sledgehammer. However, Cena made a comeback and made the game tap out to the STF and retain the WWE title and the chicago crowd was shocked.
Easily an highly recommended WrestleMania.
