Vince had two shots to make Sid a top babyface. Once was after the Rumble, when fans boo the top baby face (Hogan) over Sid, the 2nd time when Sid came back and beat Shawn for the title, people were cheering for Sid.

I was at the 92 Rumble. And Sid couldn't be more right. When he tossed Hogan, we ALL went wild. And by the end, Hogan got booed so much, I thought I witnessed Hogan turning heel. I couldnt wait to see Supertars only to see that history had been re-written. While Sid gave notice that night, I gave notice as a fan within the week. The last time I spent money on a WWF event..And yes I said "F"

I could see Sid Vicious/Justice looked particularly strained at Wrestlemania 8 even though he was a main eventer. Now I see the whole picture. He had longed prepared to tender. I loved him back then till now in his Justice run. It's phenomenal.

I remember the first DDT chants. As a kid I didn't understand kayfabe, etc. My uncle was much older than me was a huge Jake the Snake fan & so I became one by default. I figured the world just all agreed on this fact. It never occurred to me that people were trying to push Jake & he was being held down.

Just my opinion but Lex comes across as that Great Uncle that you only see at cookouts once a year who shows up and tells the grandkids road stories for hours while they're all sat round the fire just rapt with wonderment. So friendly and soft spoken

i think Disco summed it up pretty good about Hulkster he thought or wanted to be bigger than wrestling itself...he would say team team team but in reality he was about himself and maybe thought he was better than everyone else or definatley thought he was above or more important..seems like the kind of guy whod throw you under the bus to save himself

Tony atlas said Hogan was a self made wrestler/entertainer. Hogan in Japan actually wrestled but in the states was a entertainer. People said companies wanted Hogan for drawing power not in ring ability.

I actually watched the 1992 Royal Rumble live from a friend's house on Pay Per View the night that it first aired! It was two months before my thirteenth birthday and I was a die hard fan of World Wrestling Federation wrestling. My all time favorite pro wrestler will always be The Ultimate Warrior, but I was already aware from the previous event which was Summerslam 91 that the Warrior wasn't around for the next few months. I didn't realize until later that he got terminated by the company for holding up Vince McMahon for a certain amount of money. However, in the months leading up to Royal Rumble 1992, I started gaining an interest in Sid Justice who was new to the organization a few months earlier. While watching Royal Rumble 1992, I was pulling for him to win the whole time! Hulk Hogan was already far past his time as the legendary heroic wrestling superstar, and I felt it was time to have Sid Justice be awarded the championship belt! To this day, I will never understand for the life of me why Vince McMahon chose to choreograph that event for Hogan to do such a dicky thing like get so butt hurt over Sid eliminating him to where he grabbed Sid's hands and pulled him out from outside the ring like a true crybaby! Rather than Ric Flair being Vince McMahon's choice to win the Royal Rumble, he should have used better common sense towards the fact that Sid Justice had his chance of a lifetime opportunity to be the new heroic superstar! About a year later, I gave up on pro wrestling. Hulk Hogan is so egotistical and spoiled! Not everything should ever revolve around just him! ~Dutch

All of them made the WWF what it was back then, but regardless of what they say, no one could carry the WWF like Hulk Hogan as the main icon in those days.

Have you ever worked somewhere when a coworker gets a promotion and another coworker rants about how they should've gotten the promotion because they were so much better? That's what some of these people sound like when they talk about wrestlers that are more famous than they are.

I Always like big sid, he was really crazy.

That was Sid's time because fans tired of the "face" being too goody two shoes all of time. Sid was big, had the look, the demeanor, was a terrific actor and was at his best when he was in a rage yelling about something. The problem with Sid is that he had to be a villain and would have had no real competition to keep the belt for a real long time. It wasn't until Austin came about as a bad ass villainous face that wrestling fans took to him, and it worked brilliantly and kept us watching.

First thing i noticed is all the wrestlers that had bad things to say all had past drug problems, hard to believe that had nothing to do with decision making from creative.

He’s had a complicated life, with incredible highs and incredible lows. Hogan cares about the business, but like most of us, he looks out for number one first.

The best thing I ever saw about Hogan was something Nash said. Nash and him talked in a hotel parking lot for over an hour, with Nash explaining how Hogan was keeping the other guys down and not letting them get the right opportunities, and to Hulk's credit he sat there and listened to Nash say his piece, but in the end he just said "Brother, what you're proposing will cost me money." Nash just shook his hand, and said alright man.

Now I Respect Scott Steiner more then I use to. Gosh Poor Lex has aged bad.

Watching wrestling in the 80s and kinda into the 90s it was Hogan and Warrior. Iconic. Of course there are many others but these two were my favorites. The Rock and Austin are right behind these two imo.
