Removal of upholstery wrinkles. In this video we remove the wrinkles from a Scania seat. The seat was re-upholstered in vinyl, so a standard steamer was used. If your seats are real leather, be wary of using a steamer. Some leathers 'burn' when subjected to steam rather than shrinking. Others do not though so check in an inconspicuous area first.

Tom s that’s exactly what I was thinking, I wonder if you could leave a dehumidifier in the car for a while to lessen the effect?

did you just reupholster tht seat?..i just redid a set of seats and the new vinyl is a lil stiff and kinda hard to wrk with

Quentin Traywick yes it's a newly upholstered seat. Steam is your friend, or an indirect heat source to soften the vinyl up if you're finding it a bit stiff. Good luck.

ANY IDEA ON HOW I COULD DO THIS ON LEATHER, IN A WAY THAT IT WON'T HARM IT? I HAVE A VOLVO CX9, AND IT HAS LOTS OF SMALL WRINKLES. NO CRACKS, JUST WRINKLES. THANKS FOR SHARING, ANYWAY.

Hi, in the unit I use a heat gun to shrink real leather, but you have to be so careful using one of those. As a DIY job, I'd suggest trying to use a hair dryer set to high initially. Keep the heat source moving at all time regardless of what you use. Good luck.

That was quick, thanks! But, you know, my seats' leather is REALLY wrinkly, and I don't have a clue as to whether this would work, or not. I, personally, don't have a hair dryer, and I'd need to buy one just for this. Is there any chance I can mail you a photo (or some photos) of the actual state of the leather, so you can give me your verdict, man?

If it's really wrinkly, to the point the wrinkles are able to fold back on themselves then shrinking wont work. Id speak to an upholsterer local to yourself, but it sound like it may need a re-trim.
