Beyonce lives2sing what if she presented & started singing over some1s speech. its a time & a place 4everything. At an award show the time 4 the jokes r pre determined usually while announcing nominees. Not while 1 is expressing sentiments around recognition4 their LIFESWORK 👎🏿
She's so gracious, even the way she acknowledged him and said "Jimmy wake up I won." That was his moment to bow out of his performance and give her the stage. So happy for her achievements 🙌🏽
Yes! It would have been the perfect time to break character. He blew it. Coming to after the winner’s speech and/during commercial break is anticlimactic.

The only reason I watched The Emmy's this year was in hope the Abbott Elementary nominees would win! This is one of the best comedies I've watched in a long time! So well deserved! ❤
I’m so glad Quinta won, she deserved it! But its very rude and obnoxious for Jimmy to ruin her moment like that…Will Arnett could’ve at least dragged him off the stage before she came up or something. I’m glad she wasn’t thrown off by him and was still able to give a good speech.

Abbott Elementary is one of the Best comedy series written. How the actors make their role as an educator/staff worker/student seem so believable is amazing! And each ending have you counting the days to watch the next episode. Congratulations Quinta!! 🎉🍾💐

Um no. YOU'RE the reason why people are talking about Jimmy. Quinta rolled with it and gave a great speech. The camera wasn't focused on Jimmy. Nobody in the audience cared. It didn't disrupt the speech. It was just a lighthearted moment. Frankly, I didn't even think twice about this moment until people like you started whining about it.
Nevertheless, Jimmy should have gotten off the floor. His time was up! She should have been up there by herself no matter how anyone want to look at it. Dude get off the stage!!!!

Crazy to think that at 14, I was watching her get drunk and spank Eugene for the internet. 10 years later, she’s out here winning fkn *EMMYS.* Quinta is honestly amazing. The bit was a little much after about 2 minutes but, I’m glad she was a good sport about it. She still gave a killer speech regardless!
Same! Her trio sketches with Justin and Zach had me in a chokehold lol I am beyond proud and in awe of her journey and evolution as a creator. It still trips me out that she’s in Hollywood but I’m so excited for her!
From Will Smith to Jimmy Kimmel, the celebrities are starting to forget how to behave at award shows. Regardless, this win was so incredibly deserved!! Abbott Elementary is one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in such a long time and Quinta is a major part of that.
I hate it that they give a lot of time to the goofy stuff and then the winners have to rush their acceptance speeches, but they're actually the important ones in the award shows!

Heard about kimmel and had to take a few deep breaths before watching so I wouldn’t get Mad Mad, but overall I’m so proud! She’s deserves all the recognition she is beyond talented and driven she’s the definition of Passion and Gifted, of a True Artist

I firmly believe that Buzzfeed was the best during her tenure and Abbot Elementary is an excellent example as to why. She can write in a way that resonates almost any audience.
I am so proud of this woman. I can’t believe how far she has come. This proves that hard word and dedication gets you anything you want. She legit started her career with a funny RU-vid skit about her man with money and buzzfeed videos and is now an A lister Emmy winning star!
Whichever producer thought that skit was a good idea needs not be included in next year's Emmys. This was such a poignant moment for Quinta and yet all we see is a lump of lard next to her whilst she is giving her acceptance speech.
Wait, so they started drowning the winner out with music after 45 seconds, during which she had to thank everyone involved in the four-year production process? But some guys were allowed to spend way longer making a lame joke which focused on an unrelated nomination?
She had to spend about an minute walking around Jimmy and moving him out of the way and asking him to get up etc.... Then after all of that they had the nerve to turn the music on her!
Watching her growth has been amazing. I still have the iPad she sold me in Century City all of those years ago, and now she's a freaking rock star! I love it!
